Lyrics
Waiting for a sign
Washed up on the shoreline
I’ll always carry the cross
But all is not lost
I just can’t relate
A crack in the floodgate
Life comes at a cost
But all is not lost
Is this penance for my sins?
I gave everything for this phantom limb
Holy ghost
Nothing lasts forever
Now it’s time to sink or swim
I’ve got nothing except this wasted hymn
Holy ghost
Nothing lasts forever
Taking back what’s mine
But it’s lost to the skyline
A bridge I cannot cross
But all is not lost
Now there’s no escape
God, what a sorry state
Love comes at a cost
But all is not lost
Can you feel the empty space?
Can you feel the fire at the gates?
Can you live a life worth dying for?

This is an important band.
Agreed they'll be remembered in metal definately.
not only will they be remembered i think especially the older songs have a huge impact on the political way of thinking and the newer songs already helped a lot of people trough depression. Huge Band , huge lycrics an loads of emotions.
Shaman's to guide us through this modern misery
It's brilliant band
Amen. _They'll_ last forever.
This song makes me feel that we reached the end of the line from a dark and cold road.. where you feel the cold feeling of loneliness. But in that moment of loss... you look beyond the horizon and you carry on to find true serenity.
I believe Tom would've been very proud of this album. Thank you Architects.
JasonGuitarHand One is the best descriptions I have read so far. Thank you for posting this.
Couldn't have said it better. Holy ghost nothing lasts forever... :(
JasonGuitarHand Exactly how I feel/look at this song!
good stuff there homie
Protect Architects at all costs.
BlueLineRipper yes yes yes yes yes yes
But all is not lost.
@Alex De La Cruz Well BMTH and Architects are friends, sooo...
But you're right, they're not what they used to be
@Alex De La Cruz this stupid ass mentality
@Alex De La Cruz stfu
All our gods have abandoned us made me realise I am depressed and lost. Drowning in rage anger and hate. I listened to it a thousand times to learn from it.
Holy Hell now on the other hand took all the pain and transformed it. I now want to stand tall and live life no matter the cost. No matter how much pain there is in existing. You healed my soul. Thank you Architects. It's a debt I can't repay.
Sira ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dude that comment almost made me cry. This album has gotten me through my depression I’ve had off and on for awhile. Take some risks and have fun with them! That’s what makes life fun!
I got that too
Live life with as little bullshit as possible, all of you.
Buy some merch lol! Sure they'd appreciate it
All Love Is Lost // But All Is Not Lost.
What an epic song to end this album
I agree.... The whole system of the album is splendid...awesome

Literally the best follow up to "All Our Gods..." they could have made. Best band in metalcore strikes again.
This band and Silent Planet are running wild with AOTY products
For me its reductive to call this band metalcore, they have plenty of influences .
This is not just a band
It's a family/religion/way of life lol
@@anthonymonterosso7472 true
Yes lads. Agreed.
@Alex De La Cruz Lmfao you do you m8, im not religious whatsoever
@Alex De La Cruz That goes 100% against the message Architects is trying to spread. We should be tolerant of one another, whether they are religious or not. People shouldn't force a religion on someone, but you shouldn't ridicule those who want to believe in a higher force.
This song still moves me to tears as if it weren't my 4,385,389,272,561,423,184th time hearing it...
...this week.
Can you feel an empty space?
Can you feel the fire at the gates?
Can you live a life worth dying for?
The final like is like in qotsa's "no one knows":
I want something good to die for
To make it beautifull to live
Can you feel my heart?
@@omkaran3984 can you fix the broken?

Wow! I was scrolling through comments and got to yours right when the song got to that part
Never before has a song moved me so hard. People say that a picture is worth a thousand words but right here, these words are worth a thousand pictures.
Well said.

tooooootally agree. Goosebumps!
This song is the goodbye.
We're with you Dan.

Sometimes I think artists don't understand just how much their lyrics impacts us. This song legit made me cry. So beautiful. "Can you live a life worth dying for? "
no ones lyrics effect people like Architects or this genre as a whole. these guys are absolutely amazing song writers.
"Significantly, the track weaves in a demo recording of Tom playing guitar - a touching posthumous performance.
"It’s just a throwaway piece of guitar for Tom but it just fitted so perfectly in that moment. It makes such a powerful outro on the record," says Dan."
Fuck. This is such an emotional album.
And is this, a fucking masterpiece. Tom is proud ❤️ thanks guys, so much love from Brazil
Seria ótimo se eles passarem pelo Brasil na turnê do Holy Hell. E que puta álbum esse na minha opinião o álbum do ano
tamo junto
real, poderiam vir ao brasil e a galera gravar algo legal....
Caraca, se eles virem ano q vem, eu não perco poooor nada, choaria todas as músicas cantando junto kkkkk
Who's Tom?
All love is lost - Love comes at a cost, / But all is not lost.
It's like every 3rd verse or so there's a reference to Toms lyrics, it feels like he's still in the band, it's beautiful.
Yes I noticed it too, it's amazing!
Also in the song "All Love Is Lost": 'All love is lost, so carry the cross"
And in this song: 'I'll always carry the cross, but all is not lost'
It's really impressive
Another reference from 'All Love Is Lost
"Is your life worth dying for?"
And : "Can you live a life worth dying for?"
I'm so mindblown haha
@@FjordloverXxRM99132 Every song on the album has refrences to Toms lyrics, the more I listen to them the more I get flashbacks of the older ones and how good it felt to listen to them for the first time. They made sure Tom has a legacy, and what a fucking masterpiece it turned out to be!

Nowadays when we talk about classic metal records, we list albums like Master of Puppets/justice or anything Black Sabbath or Judas Priest or Iron Maiden...well in the future, every Architects album will be apart of that list because Architects is the God of metalcore, hands down! I love this album so much and I know for certain that Tom would too!
T//S
This is why Architects is my all time favorite Metalcore band.
BEST SONG OF THEIR WHOLE CAREER! Nothing lasts forever and tears all over my face..but not tears of sadness..tears of redemption
First listen of any album is such a crazy experience. Can't wait to drown myself in it.
To be fair, if this album does anything, it certainly saves us from drowning.
I don't remember the last time a song made me cry. This album came at the perfect time.
same here...
I was just listening to this song and realized that by "phantom limb" Dan means Tom... I just felt the biggest chill i've felt in ages...
And this is my favorite song from this album.. The final touch to this incredible masterpiece.. I can't believe how good they are and how strong are the vocals from Sam.. I'm amazed one more time 😊

I'm a huge Parkway Drive fan and I thought that no band could ever top them.
I started listening to Architects when they released Doomsday.
And let me tell ya what
They blew Parkway Drive out of the water with this album. Well done guys.

This song helps me keep going and get back on track in life. The music , the lyrics the motion put into it. ALL IS NOT LOST
Well... to summarize.... they wanted so badly to live up to the creative genius that was Tom.
But this.... this masterpiece of an album right here..... this might be the thing that sets the bar too high for them. I mean how can they top THIS??? Ughhh..... SO SO SO SO FUCKING GOOD.
Exactly. I don't even know how they are going to top this. It's borderline impossible!

I know in the kerrang magazine interview about the record, that Dan had said this song had a clip of tom’s guitar in it. I wonder which part it is
It's in the instrumental before the final chorus.
Dan mentions it in this interview:

He played the harmonics in the background starting from 03:29
Knowing this makes this so more emotional to me, hearing him one more time ...

@@user-xd9ks4ik9s Nah, although it may sound very pristine and mixed well these days, the original recording and feeling was given first hand by Tom who produced and recorded that track with John Mitchell. Henrik, the engineer for the next two albums actually got the gig for Architects because he drunkenly told Tom how shite daybreaker guitar tone was, and Tom wanted to learn from studio fredman how to "do it right", and it brought tears to his eyes when he heard Naysayer played back(aoghau documentary). @@mdhssounds see? so according to this, they would have wanted Daybreaker to sound as awesomely mixed and produced as the 3 newest albums. It's just that - and i very much understand that - time and budget for re-recordings isnt easy to find. and also: most people aren't as audiophile as me, so they are totally fine with the sound already.
