I don’t even have an M1 or M2 iPad and it works just fine. It’s actually really nice on the 2020 iPad Pro
I see this DaVinci Resolve runs better on my MacBook Pro M1 than on the iPad Pro M2 (12.9). I don’t experience any lags when I apply transitions, change speed or reverse clips. Not mentioning color grading. It all happenes when I edit films on the iPad. It doesn’t make editing impossible, but quite annoing. It never crashed though. BlackMagic has got a lot to do to make this app to run better on iPadOS, but I think they’re heading a right direction (although it would be better if Apple allowed macOS on iPads Pro). I really like the idea of editing on a tablet. I’ve never used DaVinci Resolve before but I think I’ve switched from Premiere for good :)
Many thanks for the helpful videos Edit Place. They definitely helped me get up-to-speed faster. Relative to crash issues, I’ve been stumped by an export crash with version 18.6.5. Seems most prevalent when editing 5.8K clips on a 2023 iPad Pro 😢.
Im lucky to have a m2 ipad pro , i was trying DR on the desktop on a macbook air and really struggling , then finding out i could run it on my ipad, i gave it a shot and was blown away with how powerful the m2 ipad actually is .. its incredible
It crashed on me multiple times, but everything came back.

When I add to many efforts especially, the strange thing , that even when I bounce it down, and bring back into David it has a hard time processing it as if I’m using the original effect tracks, so I have to work around the imitations, but it was talked about as if there was really none and I bought the iPad Pro studio version. To be honest I’m kinda over the shit, and I learned that you can buy the best of everything the best ship the best everything and shit will still glitch on you
Did you think the Design version was worth the cost, or did you find the free version adequate for editing on the iPad?
Great. In Luma fusion I can use paid plugins such as Fabfilters without any problems. However, in Davinci for IPad they don't appear (they do in the desktop version on MacOS). I don't know how to install them. What’s the issue? Thanks a lot.
Can’t get fairlight to open up completely but I have the full version on my Mack, but I love it

Yes, but you have to set up your library on an external hard drive along with the project media. Then yo can swap from iPad to computer as often as you like. The alternative is to use BM’s cloud but of course that is a paid for service.
