    Iv'e had the Ikea smart blinds for over 2yrs. and I really like them. They work perfectly and I haven't had a single issue.

      That’s awesome! Glad to hear your experience with IKEA blinds. I almost got some IKEA smart home products but they were out of stock for the hub at the time. Plan on testing some out at some point and would love to try the blinds so I can do a comparison!

    I’ve had ours for about six months now. A total of 15. We went with OmniaBlinds due to challenges with SelectBlinds dealing with some exceptionally long windows. Omnia, for a cost, customer made blinds exceeding the default (~100 inches wide). Also at the time of ordering SelectBlinds had about a 2 month turn around time, where OmniaBlinds had about a 5-7 day turn around. We absolutely love our Eve MotionBlinds. They are incredibly reliable, stylish, and perfect for our home. I highly recommend the product. Our most expensive blind cost $700 (125 inches wide) and the average cost was about $250-$300/per blind. This was a replacement for 3-Day Motorized blinds which were sold under false pretenses that they integrate with Apple HomeKit, they work with Siri Shortcuts, but there were so many issues with the hub, and the blinds not responding to the app, Siri Shortcut or the physical remote, that after 3 complete change outs of every single blind we decided to pursue a full refund. And boy, are we completely happy with the Eve MotionBlinds! Thanks for the review, our experience (despite going with a different reseller) is 100% in sync with yours.

      Thanks so much for sharing your feedback! Good to hear your experience is aligned. Especially with many windows and a few extra large ones, having smart blinds must make all the difference! Glad you made the switch and are happy with them!

    Do you have a more in depth video about the installation? I have been trying to get my motionblinds motor into my existing shades and I'm not able to make it work so far.

    This is one of the SmartHome areas I have resisted thus far as we have good quality wooden shades and shutters and custom curtains. Plus, we are likely to move in the next year or two and these products will not make sense to bring with us given their tailored sizing.
    My next thought is to get some of the products to control existing shades and curtains, especially for my home office. I don’t want to screw them up but will get to trying these out shortly. I appreciate the recommendations herein.

      Hi Dr. Cole - totally get it! I feel the same about our shutters. My wife and I love them (and they were expensive), so we're not about to replace them. I'm hoping for a retrofit solution at some point to make them smart🤞. Soma has options, as does Aqara (not yet available world-wide), and I believe SwitchBot is working on something for Blinds as well - though may not make a lot of sense if you are moving soon. Eve Motionblinds could be a nice addition in your new home!! Thanks for watching!

    What I'd like to have is blinds where the outside surface can be white or some dark color. In the summer I'd want them to be white to reduce how much the sun heats up the house, but in the winter I'd be happy to get whatever extra heat the sun has to offer!

    Hi Bard, nice video been following you for a while.I just installed my SmartWings blinds and they are amazing they are custom fit and made to order and the price is perfect. A lot of fabric choices. It only took 2 weeks to get them too. I highly recommend you taking a look at them. I got 2 32x46 and 1 65x64 for $850 delivered. They work with all the assistants. I am very pleased with them. I think it is worth you checking them out! Price is half of the eve and work fantastic, If you look very close at the design I swear they are eve.

    I recently installed these blinds in my great room. They work great. I agree with your assessment of them. I’ve been trying to automate them using a temperature sensor. I can’t get it to work. I would like them to automatically close whenever a specific temperature is reached in the room. I’ve tried using two different sensors, an Eve and an Aqara, with no luck. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks for all the knowledge and ideas you offer in your videos. Very helpful.

    • @TheBradLloyd
      @TheBradLloyd  2 года назад

      Hi Lui, Glad to hear your new Eve Motionblinds are working well! Are you able to tell me more specifically how you set the automation up? You should be able to use the event "A sensor Detects Something", Choose your sensor, Rises Above (specify your variable), then select Eve Motionblinds to close. I haven't tested this automation but it should work. If you give me more info on the issue you're having I will try to help and can even test this out for myself.

    • @luimaldonado3897
      @luimaldonado3897 2 года назад

      Hi Brad. I appreciate the response. I’ve done exactly what you suggested. I figured that would be the way to go. I’m using an Apple ecosystem. I’ve created other automations with lights, etc. This was my first attempt at triggering an automation with a sensor. I can control the Eve blinds with my phone or tablet. I’ve set my temperature sensor and programmed it to close the blinds if the temperature goes above a particular level. I don’t know why it doesn’t run. I’ve tried with two different sensors (an Eve Room and an Aqara) and it still does not run. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
