The scene where Laurie and Michael are face to face is iconic, they should have left this film and followed it another 20 years later with the new one so the surviving cast of this movie could return,

I think John does know that Michael is his uncle and what his mask looks like because throughout this movie, John is talking to Laurie like he knows all about her history with Michael. I think it was just everyone else it was kept a secret from and that was to protect them from Michael finding them again. If people knew Laurie Strode was still alive, word would get around.
It would have been better to have a proper h20 sequel with John as the lead character.

It doesn’t feel as natural as the first Halloween , it’s too stylized which is why it’s not scary like the first which felt like you was there
It should have been at least 10-15 minutes longer, I don't know why the director made it so short.

Technically everything is still canon, they just exist in different timelines.
All these halloween timelines need to stop. They should pick one timeline and stick with it. It's so confusing trying to keep up with them all. The canon timeline always changes. And instead of making those timelines to keep you guessing and on your toes it just ends up pissing people off.
This just doesn't match the pure terror instilled by the original but that's probably down to John's legendary directing
h2o is one of the if not the best sequal to halloween hands down reurection was stupid it would have been cool if they made the nee halloween the sequel to h2o. Instead of Resurrection instead of killing laurie off like they did why in troduce john her son an his gf molly an have them survive an not give us closure tp h20 with a proper sequal. Smh disappointment.. But hamds down my fav halloween movie
But having a sequel to H20 is stupid. It had a great ending to the franchise, Michaels dead. I'm glad they ignored the sequels (though I wouldn't mind if H2O stayed canon.

Honestly though I know they tried to connect H20 with the thorn trilogy, it was probably for the best they retconned those films, especially for Laurie’s character since it would basically make it to where Lauri completely neglected Jamie.

The thing is with the current trilogy of Halloween movies Michael Myers could be killed off in Halloween Ends but as we all know this Halloween franchise will never die because it’s too popular and as long as it remains that way more will be made. So even if Michael is killed off in next years movie he could easily be brought back in a Jew timeline of movies. It’s not the first time characters who have been murdered have come back in other movies.
For example, Nurse Marian Chambers was killed off at the beginning of Halloween H20 by Michael Myers and was brought back for Halloween KIlls to be killed off again in. Laurie Strode herself was killed off by Michael Myers in Halloween Resurrection but was brought back for Halloween 2018

The mask was wrong. The music was too big, like orchestral Hollywood sounding. Scary as him slicing through the gate is, it just seemed dumb. Michael would have just picked up the keys in the first place.

This scene is well made and i like it but Chris Durand to me is the worst Michael Myers, disregarding the Rob zombie movies. He is too short or too wide for his height and his movements are completely off. He's too fast and agressive, like how he looks up after being hit with the rock. His walk is like a duck's waddle. Not good.
Michelle Williams acting her is overreacting. Jodi Lyn O’keefe did way better job

I actually think H20 is the most underrated one in the entire franchise. Halloween 78 and Halloween 6 are the most overrated in my opinion.
@@RobertM425 No, H20 is completely overrated, I agree that H1 is a bit overrated but it's still the best movie, and H6 isn't even overrated since almost everyone hates it, that's actually the most underrated movie of the franchise with the best Michael Myers, best mask, awesome kills, great soundtrack and a scary atmosphere, it's just a misunderstood movie.

My complaint is he went down from a rock to the head after the punches. The Shape is immovable as established from the previous movies. That was lazy writing to have him go down from getting cracked in the head from a rock. Also since when does Michael not stab a vital area to kill some by just stabbing Josh in the leg. This is what we call plot armor. I understand the main characters were supposed to get away, but that confrontation was lazy and made Michael look like a fool. And this movie suffers from the plot armor too much. It was a decent film but poorly executed with a weak no balls Michael Myers that had half a dozen different shitty masks throughout the movie right down to a cgi mask when he kills the dude at the garbage disposal. This could have been one of the greatest sequels ever if they had treated Michael with more respect and made him a little more serious and intimidating. Resurrection obviously was 10 times worse than this movie. But still this movie has the least frightening Michael Myers. There is some great suspense, but when it gets into the action sequences Michael is a bitch here.

Also, John Carpenter wanted to scrap the twist of Michael being Laurie's brother because he felt it took away from the randomness of the attack in the original.
with halloween 2018 it was 20 years after halloween 2 and the story line was from continued from 2 and 1 and the reason no son is the time line was changed when halloween 3 to halloween h20 now with halloween 2018 they reconnected the timeline to the first 2
Halloween 4-6 is the non canon timeline for the halloween movies. Jaime doesnt exist in the canon series. There's the timeline which only includes halloween 1978 and Halloween 2 1981 that was the canon timeline until 2018 halloween was released. In the old canon timeline michael and laurie were siblings. The new canon timeline michael and laurie arent siblings. Have to wait to 2021s release of another Halloween to see if this timeline changes again. All the timelines are stupid. They wasting money making all these movies with different timelines because they make them all non canon except the current one and it's a pain in the ass to keep up with them all.

Yeah, they shouldn't have ignored all the films in between. They should've explained why Laurie abandoned Jamie Lloyd Strode or didn't know she existed and left her behind when she faked her death. They also should've left in Paul Rudd as Tommy Doyle and Josh Hartnett as her son and had Karen as her third daughter also having Marianne Hagan come back as her cousin Kara Strode. And they should also have brought back Jamie Lloyd Strode's son who would be 23 in the Halloween 2018 films.
How interesting that would have been seeing the films interconnected instead of the various Timelines.

They even changed the original story that Lori's not his sister in the new ones that it was just a rumour when the legal assistant to the governor saw the sealed records but lori didnt exactly talk to her so.maybe that's why she believes they are not at all related.
