Michael learned that evil cannot win forever and time catches up with us all and that justice always gets you in the end. On this night, Halloween would no longer be another word for mayhem and this little town in Illinois would be given a second chance to be known for something other than carnage. On this night, Laurie Strode avenged her friends from that horrible night in 1978, the people who gave their lives to stop him and ensured no more would suffer. HALLOWEEN ENDS is far from perfect. However, it is not the worst movie in horror movie history. It's just misguided. The idea is there, the acting is brilliant, & it's not a lazy movie. But, I think we owe David Gordon Green a heartfelt thanks for trying his best at restarting a new timeline story of such an iconic horror movie masterpiece from 1978 with Laurie Strode & Michael Myers.
This film, despite being far from perfect, gave a truly worthy ending to the franchise and to the two most important characters (Michael and Laurie), without Michael changing places as guard, without Michael crying, without Michael getting minors pregnant, without Michael talking and scream like a viking, no secret cult. He maintained the essence of the character and even paid homage to the one from 78 with the factor of having very few deaths and Michael only going on the attack at the end of the film.
@saboneteteira exactly, also, am I the only one who thought that the character of Corey Cunningham looks exactly like the character from CHRISTINE & has the exact same last name?!
@@edro51188I call BS on how tf she survived that. It’s one of the most graphic “kills” in the 2nd movie and she somehow survived into the 3rd movie. Michael has done less to people who don’t survive
As much as I really hated this movie, the procession was done pretty well. I like how the entire town comes together to witness the destruction of Michael Myers' body to ensure he's really dead. The score was what really made the scene for me.
LoL what a joke I've never liked Michael Myers I always thought it was one of the more boring of the horror icons and I never understand just like with Jason Voorhees, why do people obsess over him so much that they never allow his franchise to be about anything else but Michael Myers.
As long as Halloween Franchise is bringing in money along with fans, It will never be over. John Carpenter said so himself. I'd love for Him to do The Next! 😂
@willshields4480 I'm totally with you on that 1. I am 💯% Halloween, Michael Myers fan 😂. Always have been. I have watched the movies so many times but they never get old to me lol.
Halloween ends never happened it was a dream a vision Laurie wanted and writes a fictional book about defeating Michael once and for all and how the shape can come in many ways and poison other people like the fictional story of Corey. In reality Michael dissapears after Halloween kills for many years. Laurie ends up dying of old age
This scene alone pretty much confirms my theory that Michael and Laurie do not like each other. It's subtly hinted at throughout the other 13 movies, but this scene alone confirms my suspicion.
Dude what? That's not a theory, it's clearly a fact....this trilogy ignores every single movie besides the 1978 original and deals with generational trauma, obviously she doesn't like him, she literally spend decades preparing to kill him, and Michael doesn't like anyone or anything, he just kills people, even in the past sequels that's always been the case
I get goosebumps Everytime the whole town gets together. Evil dies tonight. Never give up, never give in. The good will always overcome the evil. World peace above all.
Profound tribute to both just sad for Laurie everybody she ever loved died by the one she once loved all due to whatever was ever wrong with Michael’s mind was touching two final girls getting to get the very one that took so much from them the final special town like it was saluting two heroes and the town ridding the very evil that took so much from them i loved how finally they banded together one last stand and finally won epically well done Jamie Lee and John Carpenter well done
5:43 - 5:44 *YES!* At long last! The living nightmare that has plagued the town of Haddonfield is over. Now Laurie, Ally and the residents can finally be at peace once and for all.
This move was bad, but this scene was amazing. The town gathering, seeing their nightmare, their curse, being destroyed. The music, the ambiance, the crowd, it feels so powerful in a way I cannot describe.
I'm a longtime Halloween fan, since 1994. I can't explain how much i loved this trilogy and how much Halloween Ends signed inside of me since the release to now, two years later. There's a lot drama and despair caused by the darkness. I liked a lot Corey story and i everytime i see the Laurie and Michael final battle and the destruction of the shape, i feel something powerful and suffered commotion. I wanna thank David Gordon Green to haved closed this haunted story, forever.
Michael went from tanking a beatdown from an angry mob in thr previous movie to be easily overpowered and killed by an old woman and her granddaughter in this one lmao.
Loved all the survivors for one last stand with Laurie the most perfect send off ever like ridding the ulimate evil by letting all the innocent take that final revenge. Rest in peace to all who he slayed may their souls finally rest
The best horror stories are not those that make us scream, but those that make us think./Reading a book is like opening a portal to darkness, where shadows dance between the pages./Books are the bees that carry pollen from one intelligence to another.
The fact is that, when the sequels for the original cake in, all directors for each one had to sign a paper which stated that “Michael Can’t die on or off screen.” So what’s next for the boogie man? Will there be a new Michael?
This trilogy really was something… This film is good and the score in this is something I will not forget. This score and and Michaels final ride was nothing more but emotional to me. In this film he won my heart, proving even at his oldest age he would still be able to kill Laurie in even in his dying breath. It’s basically Halloween triumphant score but it’s sad and emotional because Michael will not triumph this time. Before the movie was gonna come out, I was expecting myself to say “sayonara Michael” but instead I responded after his last few moments “Micheal… goodbye Micheal.” This scene where he’s been carried out felt like a big funeral and a goodbye moment for us. This Trilogy made me love this depiction of Michael a lot more and he became one of my top favorite killers along side with Jason. Michael didn’t won his spot as my favorites… he earned it. Farewell Michael Myers…
The most saddest thing is, is that there are legit people like Michael in actual reality. Just bc you don't hearing anything on the news or in the papers , doesn't mean there ain't some very very evil sadistic people walking among us
I think Allyson is going to become The Shape next. The way they freeze frame at the end of Halloween (2018) on Allysons hand with Michaels knife in it just felt like a massive foreshadowing into the future to me. I really hope im right.
@@Savi-digital that's not what I said. I said she would become the next iteration of him. A new evil will rise up to replace the evil that's gone. She would still be her character but I think they are going to take her down a dark path after all the trauma she experienced. Her friends, her father, and her boyfriend were all killed by him and some in front of he among others. I wouldn't be surprised if she picks up a knife and starts killing next.
@@digikid9564I honestly don't want that to happen. After everything both Allyson and Laurie have gone through, they deserve peace. Also, I don't want to see another "traumatized protagonist becomes the villain" twist. Just my opinion
They could reboot the franchise since Laurie isn’t coming back and since this is the end of her and Micheal’s story her daughter Jamie Lloyd could become the new lead/final girl and she can take on Micheal for killing Tina and Rachel
Before Corey died, he got Allyson pregnant. Laurie kept Michael's mask... Guess who's gonna find it one Halloween night years from now and put it on? "HALLOWEEN REBORN"
They could still make another one where he comes back called "Halloween: Evil Never Dies" and I would watch it lol Michael Myers has always been my favorite of all the horror slasher movies.
Everything this man did was pure incomprehensible evil...The worst serial killer the world has ever seen. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims.

I loved this ending. The town was tired of being victims of Micheal and it was time they move on and begin healing. They knew that had to “kill him good”.
Wish the filmmakers would have went another route after this series concluded... and spared horror fans of the abortion that was "Exorcist: Believer"... and the two more subsuquent films slated to follow that act.
Right? The last 25 minutes is fantastic but I remember the rest of the movie leading up to it kind of bored me, but upon rewatching it I love it all now. It's such a different format for a Halloween movie and less predictable.

Is it true that there will be no more Halloween movies? This movie killed off Michael pretty much for good. Still, they could be ANOTHER retcon, ANOTHER reboot or do something anthology related like they did for Halloween 3. Will there be any more Halloween movies?
There is a legal contract that prevents them from killing Michael Myers permanently, so a reboot is coming. Recently A24 Studios was trying to get the rights but another studio beat them to it.

Just feels weird and we will propably see him again but in other timeline, still wont feel the Same knowing he is dead. Hope they just leave it be now, even tho 50th anniversary is not far away.
Glad you enjoyed it. But I’m not thanking David Gordon green for this movie 😂
@@wes5990 okay then don't

No that isn't Michael that was his stunt double because Michael was sick on this day so his stunt double took one for the team and died
@@jaycee9540alright I want this now!

The best horror stories are not those that make us scream, but those that make us think./Reading a book is like opening a portal to darkness, where shadows dance between the pages./Books are the bees that carry pollen from one intelligence to another.
Wow, you have a fantastic way with words. Beautiful!
The fact is that, when the sequels for the original cake in, all directors for each one had to sign a paper which stated that “Michael Can’t die on or off screen.” So what’s next for the boogie man? Will there be a new Michael?
They are doing a tv show I've heard
5:44 Its Over…
This trilogy really was something…
This film is good and the score in this is something I will not forget.
Before the movie was gonna come out, I was expecting myself to say “sayonara Michael” but instead I responded after his last few moments
“Micheal… goodbye Micheal.”
This scene where he’s been carried out felt like a big funeral and a goodbye moment for us.
Just bc you don't hearing anything on the news or in the papers , doesn't mean there ain't some very very evil sadistic people walking among us
Yes actually some of them literally were inspired by these movies. Look up horror movie copycat killers and be seriously disturbed at how many. Wtf
There are many brutal serial killers..
But they don’t come back from the dead!
