Yeah Scream 1-2 is the best. Scream 3 is the weakest one. If I had to order it it would be, from best to worst, Scream 1> Scream 2> Scream 4 > Scream (2022) > Scream 6 > Scream 3. The thing that made Scream 5 and 6 worse imo, especially in 6, is that it took all the mystery, shock, and suspense out of who the main Ghostface was. I had it pegged 10 minutes into this one that Bailey was the Ghostface. Scream 5 I knew that Richie was one of the Ghostfaces right away too, because Scream 5 was supposed to be a soft reboot of the franchise, and in keeping with that, who else but the boyfriend of the new final girl would be the killer, just like Billy Loomis. Don't get me wrong, Scream 5 and 6 are amazing on first watch, and the kills are pretty brutal and gory, but the mystery aspect is almost completely gone and in the final act Scream 6 definitely takes a nosedive off a cliff in terms of pacing and story on rewatch. Shame because it was almost my favorite Scream of the bunch. Also as a final note, none of what I'm saying means any of these Scream movies are bad. They're all good and have things that I love/like about them, but Scream 1, 2, and 4 imo are the most well rounded and have far fewer downsides than the others.
The look at about 6:00 is almost my favourite moment in the whole film. I almost read it a bit like Tara knows how much of Billy she's got inside of her and are like "Really? You know you want to kill him, go ahead. It's ok to kill this one."

A few awesome details some people might've missed: 1- Sam stabs Bailey 32 times, 10 more than Richie 2- In Scream 5 Sam stabs Richie in a more random and uncoordinated way, like she wasn't quite sure of what she was doing. Here, the way she stabs Bailey is much more methodical, almost choreographed, like she was a pro in it. That girl didn't turn into just a final girl. She TRULY becomes Ghostface. 3- The look on Sam's face right before she shots Quinn is the most psychotic ever, like she legit enjoyed killing her. 4- When Sam says "but you did f*ck up with our family so" she's recalling what Bailey told her after the apartment scene: "You f*ck up with my family, you died" 5- Same thing when Tara says "you have to let me go". She says the same thing when Sam freaks out in that party at the beginning. The difference of meanings here (first metaphorically and now literally) is beautiful 6- Tara's moment of silence when Sam finishes ending Bailey shows literally everything that goes through her mind. She's like: "Wtf did I just watch? That was terrifying. I mean, at least I'm alive. You know what, it was kinda iconic". Jenna truly is an outstanding actress

I saw this movie in theaters. Will never forget it. I totally went NUTS during this scene and I singled out praise for both Jenna Ortega and Jack Champion. They’re both so good.

I actually like the revitalization of the Scream movies. I like the new take, the protagonists, and the setting of how this would play out in a city. I wouldn't go to see it in theaters, though, but when it hits a streaming app, I would watch it.

I actually like the revitalization of the Scream movies. I like the new take, the protagonists, and the setting of how this would play out in a city. I wouldn't go to see it in theaters, though, but when it hits a streaming app, I would watch it.
