An interesting parallel to the original in which lauries was the student and now the teacher and also a vital scene later on when she stops running and faces Michael
"There's a dude with a white mask walking around the grounds of our secluded private school." How hard is that to say, Molly? You could have prevented all of this...
Kieran Scarlett She probably didn't think much of it because it was Halloween and teens are known for pranks, you wouldn't see a guy dressed up like that and automatically think oh shit that's s brutal serial killer, she probably didn't even know much about myers.
This scene doesn’t just pays homage to the first film it also shows that Laurie shouldn’t keep hiding in fear and must confront Michael and kill him so she can end her nightmare.
nope she said during the behind the scenes footage there is a lot of montages from the 1978 movie since they made this movie for the 20th anniversary theres even some montages to scream in here! not familiar with scream so i won't be able to spot those, but yep i also saw a little foreshadowing in this scene too with what mrs. keri tate asked molly and what molly's response was because deep down inside that is how laurie strode is feeling and in the end...molly's response is what it all boils down to
This movie was 1000% times better than halloween 2018 and Halloween kills. Not even a comparison. And wayyy more realistic. I BELIEVE Laurie Strode would have been this way: a woman with severe anxiety, mild depression and alcoholism plagued by real trauma but still able to cope in some capacity with her intelligence and bookishness guiding her in an adult career path as an educator…..instead they made her some doomsday prepper weirdo who lives in seclusion.
While I am glad John survived, but I do agree the classroom lesson on frankenstein would have been more vital ha down Michael killed him. It would made Laurie realize she had nothing left to lose.
That’s really interesting, I wonder if they decided in rewrites to make it a less sad ending. Or maybe they considered Laurie losing her love interest a direct parallel
I guess Michael would have killed John, it definitely would have pushed laurie to the edge and thus truly had nothing left to lose. I am guessing it was changed to make it less depressing and will being that person to die instead.
This is a great movie with a stellar cast! I liked this one better than Halloween 2, and Resurrection and 4 and 5. The Curse of Michael Myers was bad too.
They did actually. Michael was seen wearing it in the beginning when he killed those 2 kids and Marion Chambers. It’s weird cuz they used like 4 different masks in this movie.
@@isaiahholland1816 If they would've just scrapped Halloween 6 all the way and made a proper sequel to finish the trilogy with Danielle Harris reprising her role as Jamie for one last time, the franchise would've been in a better place. Thankfully, Halloween H2O disregarded the Cult of Thorn, which sucked ass anyways! 😊
I know this is a classic moment but I'm asking if anybody knows the difference between the 1978 in the H20 between the books and statement before they saw Mike Myers. Like how are they alike?
Well, in 1978 the teacher makes Laurie compare how fate is portrayed by two authors. One author claimed that fate could be changed, while the other claimed that "fate was immovable like a mountain". And here it's about avenging the loved ones who were taken away. I'd say the common theme is fate, and in Laurie's case, it's "immovable like a mountain", because no matter what she does, she always encounters Michael.
She’s not a “teacher” she’s the head mistress. I think she was filling in for someone? Not sure. But it’s a private school. So the rules might be different.
I went to a private school in elementary and a public schools 5th grade on . The private school would not allow a teacher who had a child in the school to be taught by their parent. The public school did one girl had her mom for reading class. Then my older cousin had the same fifth grade teacher I had when she was my age and his daughter was in her class. So she had her dad as the fifth grade teacher.
The unrealistic part of this scene is that they are talking about a book about monsters in an 11th or 12th grade class lol. This type of literature reading is no more than a 4th grade kids level.
An interesting parallel to the original in which lauries was the student and now the teacher and also a vital scene later on when she stops running and faces Michael
I have to admit this movie was way better than resurrection. I love how her discussion on Frankenstein is how it somewhat symbolizes her and Michael.
all the way
Agreed. Resurrection sucks
0:18. His face was like...🤪
very powerful scene. jamie did a hell of a job in this movie.
Your username and profile picture along with your vocabulary say to me that you shouldn't be here. Get lost, fool.

@Theaterg15 What a disgusting insult.

A nice homage to the first Halloween film.
This scene doesn’t just pays homage to the first film it also shows that Laurie shouldn’t keep hiding in fear and must confront Michael and kill him so she can end her nightmare.
And it made here clear, that she couldnt longer forbid here son to traveled with his friends.
I have seen this a thousand times and now I'm actually reading Frankenstein in my ENG200 class and I agree with Molly
“Fate is immovable. Like a mountain. It stands where man passes away. Fate never changes.”
This is very similar to the classroom scene to Halloween 1978
Coincidence?

Don,t hate 2018 so much.😑
I suffer depression with alcoholism right now with the death of my grandmother from Cvid19 does that make me traumatized?
If you feel to bad, try to get professional

This is one of the best timelines. And this timeline has only 1 movie! No sequels, only H2O
Resurrection is a sequel to H20
@swolfe9668 you heard them no .... sequel... period perfect ending to a franchise if you ask me
Victor should have protected his self instead of bowing down
Better than any scene in Halloween 2018
Josh Hartnett was very handsome when he was young :-)♡♡♡
I love H20 and I wish it was still part of the timeline.
H20 was the best Halloween sequel.
This scene would've been more poignant if she had lost her son to Michael later in the movie.
Yeah

If the mask had no mouth. It would be more scary.
If they just keep the h6 mask it would be a better movie

@@TheLuca2001 Excellent. And your last sentence gave me the chills when I read it.👏😃
After all these years i realized 0:22 is similar to what happen to laurie from the first one she saw michael and the teacher called her out
Anybody at all, Cmon people, did anybody read the book, guy's it's Frunkenstein😂
Strong Arm Brow ? . ❤😢 .
I always felt Molly looked like Rachel from H4 and H5 if Rachel were to be a teenager in 1998
I would want jamie lee curtis as my great grandmother she literally reminds me of my late grandmother
is it allowed to put a teacher with her son as her student in the same class?

Halloween 2018 has absolutely nothing on this movie. The only Halloween movies that actually matter are the original two and this one
