@@blakeanderson5011 yeah I filled the whole thing up, left it on for 3 weeks. There was a tiny bit of loss from drying out, maybe 1.5 out of the ten heads. It lasted for a long while in the fridge. Really good ingredient.
@@angiehalliday8754 that sounds like a great alternative but I’m way too paranoid about a fire that keeping it on for 3 weeks would be too much. Out of curiosity what would you rate fresh garlic 1-10 and how would it compare to black garlic?
@@blakeanderson5011 it's not hot like raw garlic. It really doesn't taste like garlic at all. You can just eat it and it has a rich, dark sweetness about it. It's very complex and savory too. It also just spreads into a paste. If raw garlic is a ten, sauteed garlic is a five, roasted garlic is 3, black garlic is a 1. I mostly put it in vinaigrettes.
