It happens. I have three brothers whom I practically raised and now that we're all older, the closeness is gone.
It’s very common to be separated/ divorced from your siblings minus the paperwork. Very much discussed in all religious Books and in Russian literature, but for us human, it’s taboo. But no bond should be forced and exploited.
Can't say I'm surprised cos Tamera is devoted to her husband and kids, Tia is more out there and charting her own territory. Growing apart when you each live different lives is a given. I hope they can still find a way back to each other. They are sister sister for goodness sake

I think that Tia wants to be on her own. When they both were on their reality show years ago Tamera called Tia selfish because Tia wasn't a part of Tamera's wedding. She was nowhere to be found and Tamera's friends had to organize the wedding and support her. It was important to Tamera and Tia didn't support her.
They've forgotten all of these things. Tamera is living life being a wife, mom, business woman and family person.
I remember that and Tia was tryna gaslight her! I see after 13 yrs things don’t change!

After watching their reality show, I believe Tia is the problem. JMO. Tia is the domineering of the two. She seems like if she doesn't get her way with her sister, she acts out. Tamara had such a hard time telling Tia about herself. I can only imagine how it is now. Tamara might have had differing opinions on Tia's life after divorce, and Tia saw it as her not being supportive. Also, Tia seems to be the type that wants you to drop everything for her, and when you have your own family, that's not realistic. Hopefully, they can get close again.
SN: Announcing your divorce on the same day as your sister announces her book is selfish. It reminded me of Tia booking a weekend away while pregnant, saying it was their last weekend before being parents, BUT she did it the same weekend of her sister's wedding festivities.
You said everything I was thinking. Tia even got gigs that she knew were Tamera's lifelong dream. It was $ for her. Thank goodness Tamera ended up getting a role like that later on.

OMG you may be right. I have not seen the show but only previews and the vibe I was getting was that Tia is the “evil” twin. Not for real evil but just that she is the one who is more edgy, pushes the envelope more and more of a rebel. But I truly hope Tia and Tamera can get close again! You’re so right. I forgot about how she announced her divorce the same time as Tamera released her book. The whole time Tamera was on TV trying to promote her book, everyone wanted to talk about Tia’s divorce. I was disappointed in Tia for that. That wasn’t loving at all.

The thing is, I remember when Tamera had her wedding day, Tia was quite neglectful, late and not caring towards her sister, (stopped to see a jaguar in the back of a car) even through her sister Tamera was waiting for her. I think Tamera let a lot of things go, but there comes a point where the person you can sometimes take for granted (not in any mean way) will say ‘enough’. This may be what happened but Tia cant just say I want my sister now that I am alone, because relationships take nurturing.

@@naysx12 I had to end a relationship with my mother, my biological mother. She passed away in March, but the relationship was so toxic. I did forgive her before she passed away, but you can’t be around people that are toxic in your life. You have to remove yourself from the situation.

I call them every day 3-4 times a day and we say i love you because you don’t know when it’s gonna be the last time you hear your siblings voice or see them. you know the devil have many jobs and one of those jobs is to separate families. This isn’t surprising or anything new. I watched Tia & Tamera’s reality show (it was around the time one was getting married and the other had just had her first child) and they were drifting apart then. But honestly I don’t see it as a bad thing as you enter adulthood, start careers and families its natural to drift apart as life takes you in different directions. Whether it’s family or friendships you have to be intentional about staying connected. And it must be a 2-way street.
Wishing them the best and hope they find their way back to each other. 💕
On the reality show, Tia used to takes jabs at Tamera for moving to Napa and drinking wine. It was only a matter of time when Tamera would have enough of Tia.

Tia brought this on herself, honestly. Not only did she divorce her husband because she wanted a clean slate, but she severed the relationship she had with her sister. But I do hope they work things out.
These things always happen. I have sisters, and they were always so close to me, but now that they're growing up, we're all no longer close.
Hold up - Maybe my memory is off, but Tamara spoke up about her reservations when it came to Cory. Tia was always defensive about it and as a result THAT severed the ties between them. Regardless of having their own family, at the end of the day that's your sister, your twin at that! Tia can reconcile with her sister but in my opinion she owes Tamara an apology. I'm with Tamara, I'm happy to see Tia living in her truth after the divorce. She seems very happy, but some accountability definitely needs to be taken rather than putting their business out there in some documentary.🙄

That's reality. Just because you're family does not mean you will always be close to them. There are going to be disagreements that will cause separation. Look at the royal family from Wales. Husbands & wives. BFF's relationships. It's not uncommon. Irreconcilable differences. Sometimes you have to let people have their space, sort things out.
Tamera is fake and Tia is not. It’s ok to say you have problem with you sibling and miss them. It’s a reality show why would she be expected to keep it to herself. Siblings aren’t always close they go throw changes.

Whether Tia or Tamara or anyone is to blame, who knows - but I like this level of honesty. Instead she’s saying “hey, this person that I have been publicly attached to my whole life isn’t as close to me as she once was”. No name calling. No animosity.
