    Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your great video. I'm 66 years old and have worked out religiously all of my life. I recently bought some rings and have been searching You Tube for a beginning program and have found nothing. You solved all my problems, with a 12 minute video. I thought I was a real strong guy and I am, but the rings made me feel like an 8 year little girl. With your exercises I feel like I can move ahead. OH YES, I've been playing the guitar for 56 years and love all types of music, including Rap, but God Bless you for not putting loud obnoxious music on your video. Can't say enough good things about your video. Be well my brother...

      Thanks! Appreciate the comment. I put together a complete program which breaks down all of the bodyweight exercises into a progressive strength building routine. It's also built around the belt levels so you can start at any point in your fitness journey. Still working on the youtube videos, been focusing more on the website these days. Check it out here: bodydojo.com also if you are interested in trying it out send me a message for special pricing. Best of luck!

    I just bought my rings 3 days ago. I'm so weak, 25 years without sports. For now I just try to hold some positions with my feet on the ground and my whole body shake like a washing machine. Lol. But I feel good about the rings. Thanks for the video.

    great video, what rings do you recommend?

    • @theBodyDojo
      @theBodyDojo  7 лет назад +1

      I strongly recommend wooden rings. I also have a set of plastic rings but they can get slippery. I've tried metal rings too but same thing, they are slippery. Wooden rings tend to feel "softer", absorb sweat better, and have the best texture in my opinion. I purchased mine on Amazon for like $60 or something. Prices may vary, most vary in the types of straps they come with.

    Do I have to do all of the white belt exercises in one workout as a beginner? How many sets and reps do you recommend? Is it okay if I do them 3 times per week? I do x2 spinning and a yoga class as well. Sorry for my english. :)

    • @theBodyDojo
      @theBodyDojo  7 лет назад +1

      You don't do all the exercises in one workout. For any routine I would recommend you do 9-12 sets. Perform exercises where your rep range is around 3-6 reps, and then mix in an exercise where you can get 8-10 reps. This will get you stronger. It's okay if you workout 3x per week. For that frequency I would recommend you do both pushing and pulling exercises in one day. So do 6 sets of pulling exercises and 6 sets of pushing exercises in one workout. You can mix and match how you do it, for instance, you can do 2 exercises for pulling and do 3 sets each, which makes 6 sets total. Or you can do 6 different exercise one set each... so on and so forth.

    Keep away the rings when you do bulgarian dips. And when you do a rep, always lock your elbows bro.

  • @iowkey_9339
    @iowkey_9339 6 лет назад +1

    Instead of silence, you could be adding your commentary on proper form when doing these things.
    Where to keep the shoulders, shoulder blades, what to do with your abs, butt, positioning of knees and elbows etc..
    Because as a beginner, without that knowledge you will hurt yourself.

      Tilman Rotational Invariant I wish my 6 yr old can do that, lol. Yeah with most people I train (adults) they are not able to do that move until orange or green belt... and that's with straight arms which is a lot harder
