Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your great video. I'm 66 years old and have worked out religiously all of my life. I recently bought some rings and have been searching You Tube for a beginning program and have found nothing. You solved all my problems, with a 12 minute video. I thought I was a real strong guy and I am, but the rings made me feel like an 8 year little girl. With your exercises I feel like I can move ahead. OH YES, I've been playing the guitar for 56 years and love all types of music, including Rap, but God Bless you for not putting loud obnoxious music on your video. Can't say enough good things about your video. Be well my brother...
Bob Lewis thanks buddy, saw your request on facebook. welcome to the group! feel free to reach out with any questions. I'm working on more videos but it's taking some time. keep at it!
Thanks! Appreciate the comment. I put together a complete program which breaks down all of the bodyweight exercises into a progressive strength building routine. It's also built around the belt levels so you can start at any point in your fitness journey. Still working on the youtube videos, been focusing more on the website these days. Check it out here: bodydojo.com also if you are interested in trying it out send me a message for special pricing. Best of luck!
Thanks man. My body composition is much different now. You will definitely see results! If you need help putting together a workout program I have it all laid out on my website. Send me up a DM for a discount code.
I just bought my rings 3 days ago. I'm so weak, 25 years without sports. For now I just try to hold some positions with my feet on the ground and my whole body shake like a washing machine. Lol. But I feel good about the rings. Thanks for the video.
Mik Janakiev this is all there is up to green belt, I'm going to remake this video though with some commentary. I'm working on a blue belt to brown belt video with over 40 more exercises
I strongly recommend wooden rings. I also have a set of plastic rings but they can get slippery. I've tried metal rings too but same thing, they are slippery. Wooden rings tend to feel "softer", absorb sweat better, and have the best texture in my opinion. I purchased mine on Amazon for like $60 or something. Prices may vary, most vary in the types of straps they come with.
Do I have to do all of the white belt exercises in one workout as a beginner? How many sets and reps do you recommend? Is it okay if I do them 3 times per week? I do x2 spinning and a yoga class as well. Sorry for my english. :)
You don't do all the exercises in one workout. For any routine I would recommend you do 9-12 sets. Perform exercises where your rep range is around 3-6 reps, and then mix in an exercise where you can get 8-10 reps. This will get you stronger. It's okay if you workout 3x per week. For that frequency I would recommend you do both pushing and pulling exercises in one day. So do 6 sets of pulling exercises and 6 sets of pushing exercises in one workout. You can mix and match how you do it, for instance, you can do 2 exercises for pulling and do 3 sets each, which makes 6 sets total. Or you can do 6 different exercise one set each... so on and so forth.
Instead of silence, you could be adding your commentary on proper form when doing these things. Where to keep the shoulders, shoulder blades, what to do with your abs, butt, positioning of knees and elbows etc.. Because as a beginner, without that knowledge you will hurt yourself.
Tilman Rotational Invariant I wish my 6 yr old can do that, lol. Yeah with most people I train (adults) they are not able to do that move until orange or green belt... and that's with straight arms which is a lot harder

When I heard silence it was music to my ears. Great video liked and subscribed. 😊👍
Thanks for this video mate, finally someone not juiced up, a normal bloke exercising on the rings getting strong.
Great video and awesome concept (belt system). Keep em coming. The journey begins. Joining you from the UK.
Good instruction.
A picture is worth 1000 words.
And bonus....... NO "music"!
Thanks.

nice collection
This video is very helpful. Thank you.
Great video
Great video and great music choice too ;) Most of the videos have some really ugly sound that ruins just everything. Well done!
Thank you very much.
great video, what rings do you recommend?

Finally something normal and doable
Green belt😎
3 dumb bodybuilders disliked this video SMH!
Bodybuilders..🤣😂🤣
Like all the different variation and skill levels, but talk about silence lol. Gotta add some basic background music man.
for sure man, future videos will be better... gotta improve my editing skills!
Sometimes music riuns the video. RUclips is overcrowded and plagued with it so much that it has become the standard
Keep away the rings when you do bulgarian dips. And when you do a rep, always lock your elbows bro.
Instead of silence, you could be adding your commentary on proper form when doing these things.
Where to keep the shoulders, shoulder blades, what to do with your abs, butt, positioning of knees and elbows etc..
Because as a beginner, without that knowledge you will hurt yourself.
Theoctopus Thoughts good idea, this was one of my first videos and I wasn't sure how to do that yet. I'll work on a remake for you guys!
skin the cat is a green belt exercise? Most 6 year olds can do them w.o. a problem. Otherwise thanks for the effort.
