This was a really great video, I have watched all of them and in this very pivotal shift for me I’m really looking to get the store up and running. My biggest struggle is wanting to be completely different and unique and not like all of the other shirts I see but thinking of it as a general store i.e. Walmart and just enhancing designs currently selling has helped guide me in another direction so thank you
So glad I could help! I know there is a lot of analysis paralysis in the beginning because there is so much to learn but trust me, just getting started and throwing some stuff out there are testing different things is the only way to learn and grow. Try not to take yourself too seriously or overthink things (I know easier said than done). I wish you the best of luck and glad I could help some!

When using Everbee and checking demand by looking at the total number sales, is there a minimum number you look for? Is there a point where you might decide not enough sales are being made here so I'll try a different niche?

I am so confused about it you mentioned that don't make the same design as the best-selling listings.
But I want to know how you bring the new design style, How do you accumulate design inspiration as well as try to stand out from the crowd on the first page?
I think bringing the design idea or design style etc, this portion it's so difficult
I know this can be one of the most confusing parts in the beginning. What I would recommend is starting taking screen shots of design layouts/ design styles/ and design colors in separate folders on your phone. Then when you are looking for inspiration, go to those folders and try to think how you can apply those elements or combine elements from a few of the design, for the design you are making right now.
Eventually you will find a few design styles you make best and you will just repurpose them for every niche that you design for 100's of times. Hope this helps you!
Would you say everbee is better than erank can only afford subscription to one of them.
Very helpful information you provided with your video. I haven't start my etsy shop yet. But I am trying to learn as much as possible first. I want to start selling only digital download products. as i don't want to involved with the confusing Shipping stuff yet. Do you have any video I would like to watch, about the process of uploading and creating a listing for digital products? and how to sell them? You have a new subscriber to your channel.
I started my etsy store on february 1, 2023. Your videos have been the best walk through tutorials for me. My store looks very professional and i have made 3 sales ( from family lol) but either very happy with the results. Did you use any of the other tools, Alura, etc.? If I can learn from what you did I'm happy for it...so I don't get into analysis paralysis of comparing the tools (again).
Great question Mary! I didn't use ANY tools the whole 2 years I've been selling up until now that I found EverBee actually. So you don't NEED any of them. I just look through all the first and second page of results for keywords other people have used and come up with my SEO. I think some of those keyword searching tools can definitely give analysis paralysis for finding SEO because you want to find the most searched terms with the least amount of listings but my most searched term this month is "bachelorette party shirts" lol
The reason I'm enjoying Everbee is because it does the same thing I would have done anyways by looking through each listing but it just puts them on one page for me and makes it so much faster. I also like being able to see approx how many sales each one has had more easily by sorting them instead of going through to see how many reviews each one has and guessing. So maybe hold off on buying any and focus on the basics first and then consider which ones can help you do what you already do faster.

@@CassiyJohnson Thanks for that detailed reply Cassiy. I totally know what you mean about scrolling down to approximate how many sales an item is getting. One thing I wonder is if we are better off looking at items that are having sales success but have been posted more recently. For example, if a shirt has 500 sales but it was originally posted 3 years ago, maybe it's not ranking for the those keywords, but being pushed by Etsy. I don't know. Just a thought. Vs a shirt that is ranking and was just posted 90 days ago.
@@marys.5050 It wouldn't still be on the first page if it wasn't ranking for that though! Don't overthink it, just use the SEO you find from the first and maybe second page of results and you will do well!

I love the content that you've been putting out. A couple of questions. Do you have a suggestion on how to organize the designs/ listings that you'd like to create? Also, do you keep track of listings after you've created them somewhere outside of etsy?
Thanks for watching Nirah!! I just keep ideas as they come in a notepad on my phone in an app! And I don't track any listings outside of Etsy after listing them.

I'd recommend setting aside 30% of your profit per month in a separate account for taxes!

How do you contact someone at everbee? I downloaded the extension but it's not actually showing up. I checked my google chrome settings and it's not showing up in the extensions pannel. I need help.
Cassiy what are your thoughts with shops that list items for super low - only to find out when you click on the listing it is sold out. It gets them on the front page and they get sales, I'm not sure if customer know its a trick like us etsy sellers know it is. Do you think its a good strategy? Also, can you add to your long list if video's to make - explain and show how to use etsy adds? I'm sure its a no-brainer, but my brain is fried these days trying to cram all your good content in it, lol!! Love your channel!!
I think most customers don't even look at the price much until they first see a picture of an item that they like. Personally, if I thought a shirt was $12, I'd think it was bad quality. I wouldn't recommend this process but feel free to try it for a month or two and see how it works for you! I have sold almost 20k items and most at $24.99 shirts with free shipping.
Don't overthink it, if you have a good design, good SEO, and good mockups, then you will get sales no matter what the price!

I signed up for the free Everbee account. Question: I am testing the free plan. I followed both your tutorial and the Everbee video. I typed in "shirt" as instructed. However, I could not see the "monthly sales" why? Is this info only provided with a paid version, which is an upsell?.

I honestly don’t have a ton of experience with all of the tools. I didn’t use any of them for building most of my business but in the last year or so I’ve been using Everbee a lot. I like that Everbee helps me just do what I’m already doing but just faster! Erank is a separate website and I ended up spending way too long looking at the random stuff in their site but it was more data than I thought was needed. So for that reason I like Everbee! But wouldn’t hurt to watch some comparison videos or try each of their free plans and then pick what works best for you!

Hello and thank you for all the information and help you provide on your channel. In one of your videos you mentioned you use monster digital but what I see on printify is that they don’t offer XS? Am I missing something? Do you not offer size XS ?
No I just don't offer XS. It honestly is never an issue. If someone messages me wanting one, then I tell them to order the small with a note that they want an XS, then I switch it to another provider after they order. But this has literally happed twice ever.
Most people wear Medium - XL shirts, you won't sell that many XS.

I'm so sorry but I don't understand your question? Are you asking if you want a black shirt with a white design on it and a white shirt with a black design on it in the same listing?
You can do these in the same listing by selecting under the design on one of the colors "Make a specific design for white" or "Make a specific design for black", then you add the png in black or white etc. Hope that helps!

Hello! Sorry I don't have any technical answer for you but I always make my canvas 4500 x 5400 on canva and the print always says high quality when I upload it to Printify and always prints great!
Hi Cassiy, thank you for the great video. I have a confusion using EverBee. I decided to analyze one sucsessfull Etsy shop and saw it's product analytics. On the top there is number what says Average Mo. Sales, and in this case the number was 47. However, I Etsy says this shop has more than 14000 sales and was opened around March 2022, which means their monthly sales are about 1400. Where is the truth? Thank you.

First off I wanted to thank you for all your videos they have been very helpful. But I do need some help understanding something. If you’re supposed to start designing and get products out 8-12 weeks in advance, how do you know what is selling? For instance, say I’m trying to make designs for St. Patrick’s Day now. I use EverBee and Bestsellers to research, but when researching nothing really comes up, mostly because no one is buying anything that far in advance. In this case, how do I know what’s selling? I’m sure I’m missing something, please help.

Everbee’s trademark software just warns you of any potential trademark but it won’t always be trademarked for your item type. I’m still learning how to use that part of it right now so I’ll make a tutorial when I figure it all out!

I see it say's alot of sales per month, but at the top, it states an estimate but says only 11 sales per month average. Before I purchase, I want to be sure this is giving the correct details.
What's your opinion on niches on Etsy. I see a lot of successful shops that do numerous niches ( sports, occupations, music, ect) yet some say you should focus on a narrow niche.
I recommend selling in lots of niches on Etsy! Most people on Etsy buy from the search results, not by looking at your individual shop. If you ever start a website on like Shopify, I would recommend having just one main niche. But when first starting, it takes awhile to figure out what niche's sell well and you are good at designing for. So I recommend trying lots of them and then once you find something that works for you, capitalize on it and makes tons more in that niche if that makes sense.

Hi Mark! You would just make 1.5% less off of your total sales than you did in the past. Like in March I sold about 16k in shirts, so if the fees go up 1.5% then I would have made $240 less last month than I did.

As for Free shipping, I personally only have ever done free shipping as that is what the life hacker couple recommends but I've seen people be successful charging as well. I think when you are first starting it can be helpful to make your prices look lower than they are, but people are going to buy shirts because they like them, not because one is $4.00 less than another one has always been my thought process.

It’s worth noting that if you just copy the words from other designs that are very popular you will likely make no sales as you’ll appear at the bottom of the list in search results. You should at least try to come up with something slightly different.

How do I check if a phrase or quote is copyrighted?
I have a video on my channel of how to check trademarks if you haven’t seen that, definitely check it out! As for copyrights, it’s not really so easy to check. Just try not to copy people and stay away from doing quotes and stuff from tv shows. and you should be good on copyright

Sorry I have never used Erank before! I do most of my research just on best sellers on Etsy!

Thanks for the video, but Everbee doesn't show accurate sales data. I checked it for one of my shops, and both the sales and favorites were WAY OFF than I actually have. Erank has been much better, in my experience.

The Free version you can only see 3 of the tags and you can't sort the results but it does show you the overall analytics for the listings, listing or Etsy shop you are on!
