Nate: Let’s try to get through this fast. Let’s not drag the fast food bracket out. Nate immediately after: “Does that shirt come with shoulder pads?” I love how all over the place you guys get. It’s what I’m here for!
@@JoeySpiegelToo funny 😂 Nate walks in front of the camera, then sounded like he tripped on the door stopper. I was expecting glass breaking in the next room😂 He came back to his spot and no one said a word
Nate reprimanding Aaron for talking about a bad experience in an airport, then turning around and complaining about direct TV is what this podcast is all about.
One of the best things about pencil break was when you got your " best " pencil (mine was a Mirado Black Warrior) and smashed through the other kids " best " pencil. You cant know the joy of seeing a Dallas Cowboy pencil smash in half , unless you lived it.
I would be absolutely invested in the next couple episodes being the fast food fights! It’s why I watch this podcast religiously, a beautiful escape from the daily grind!
I like that Aaron will make a call back to Nate’s own joke and it didn’t phase him in the least. Also, we ignored that fact that Nate didn’t notice Dusty didn’t wear a hat a few episodes ago.
Every time you guys talk about food I'm reminded that Nate has the palate of a four year old. If you can't like fried rice because it has onions, how do you find anything you like? I'm surprised he doesn't exclusively eat chicken nuggets, quesadillas, and apple sauce.
Seen you on Saturday night live, I've heard of you but never really invested any time into this podcast, I'm watching it now and loving it, very easy very wholesome very fun, really enjoying this pod
As a kid, my dad would take me to Jack In The Box and we would always get tacos. It was a real staple of my childhood. I've been defending those tacos for YEARS. Glad to hear that other people actually like them. I feel so heard.
I understand you Dusty. Someone bought the land catty-corner to us and I found myself in the backyard a lot while the Hispanic workers were building the house enjoying their music well into the night and found myself missing it when the house was finished.
Long time listener - first time caller... Revisiting Nate’s comment about having a shy bladder.. I live in Atlanta and was at his show last winter at the fox. Incredible show, super funny, I even yelled “Let’s go folks” at the start and Nate said “There it is”. Great moment for me. What was not a great moment was after the show I went to the bathroom to pee before our drive home. Of course there was a long line, so I joined the line and started waiting. As I got closer to the urinals I noticed they were very close together with no dividers. Having a shy bladder myself, the inevitable anxiety started to sink in. When it was my turn I saddled up to the urinal as tight as possible, and stood there for what seemed like an eternity. Finally I zipped up and walked away with a full bladder. Maybe you three and beanie batesy can discuss why all toilets have doors, but it’s a free-for-all with urinals. Side-note, I’ll be at the December show in Atlanta this year, mind if I use your bathroom?
Hello Bears! A long bit ago I was told that the southern accent comes from the English settlers slowing down their way of life, including the pace at which they spoke. So, if you slow down the English accent it becomes the southern accent. Now, I know Ireland isn’t England but I’ve noticed that anytime an English person does an “American” accent it’s always southern & that could be because it’s easier since it’s just their accent slowed down. Love y’all folks, been listening since the first episode, when it was 3 & the show seemed to be about 2 dudes bully their geriatric friend, but as time rolled on & the true dust pan joined n the show, it’s become one of the best podcasts! Congratulations to all the success you’ve all had as well as the literal people some of ya’ll made & hopefully we will continue to hear Breadbox correct Nate as he makes up words he can’t pronounce & be sold athletic ware from Arron & Dusty’s ads for many more year’s!
I think you guys called it”Scratching the Surface” is a great Dusty podcast where I get to explore…..almost everything….most of all, Dusty’s conspiracies, this would be wild
This 👆47:42 (Dusty referring to his guayabera from Miami) “I’m cultured now…” That’s what makes Miami so great! There are so many awesome cultures in addition to Cuban. I love it! Although, I’m not surprised dusty got along so well with the Cubans 😉
The care and seriousness with which you took Animal Fights is what made it great. Why in the world would you rush through something like this? This topic is (or should have been) core Nateland.
Just realized today that Nateland is just a teaser to We’re Having a Good Time. From now on I’ll have a better appreciation when I hear Dusty repeat a story on his show. Goodbye folks, keep having a good time!
Saw Aaron in Boston Saturday night with my husband Red.We took a great picture with him in my pan-guin shirt! He killed it. Non stop laughs. Hoping to see all four of you over the next year. Nate’s next in October. Love you guys! Thanks for doing what you do…. Michelle B
When I got the podcast notification, I thought it said “Fast Food Bucket Fights” and immediately imagined you all throwing family buckets of KFC at each other. I thought “THIS is going to be EPIC.” I didn’t even question it being on brand for the podcast. Imagine my dismay when I found out it was a bracket fight. Still a great pod but maybe this should be a special episode coming up.
Watching Bittersweet navigate talking about Church’s chicken to an ad read in one fell swoop is podcast gold. Looking forward to seeing Nate in Baltimore!
I took my first vacation to tennessee this past week, loved it, and totally get the appeal of South now. While driving through Virginia I figured I'd stop to grab something that says Virginia on it to say that I've been there. To my surprise, my michigan accent was too much for them. I got handed off to three different people who had never heard of what a 'magnet' was. Made me laugh. Love the show. Bates rules
I'm catching up after the summer and I'm so glad I found this gem. Question and a story. If you could have unlimited free food from any fast food restaurant, what would it be? When I was an LDS missionary in Colorado, a member of my church owned basically all the Sonic restaurants in the western half of Colorado. We could go to Sonic anytime, order literally anything we wanted, and it was free as long as we told them we were missionaries. Dude, we ate SO MUCH Sonic when I was there. We definitely abused it and did not hold back. Several times a week, all the blasts, drinks, etc. Sometimes we'd go in giant groups of 8+ missionaries and just go to town. I got tired of Sonic, but not enough to stop going. We saved a lot of money doing that. Benevolent Sonic owner, If you're reading this, thank you.
I am going to find that Reacue 911 episode of the man touching the ladies foot! It’s my mission. Now I’m on RUclips watching old episodes and loving the commercials! 😂😂😂❤❤
The best “ 2 for 1 “ type deal I’ve seen was a guy selling 1 watermelon for $3 or 3 for $10. So everyone was just buying 3 watermelons seperate for $9. I said to him “ did he know that 3 for $10 wasn’t a better deal” and he said “ of course… but everyone is buying 3 to prove me wrong”. Genius !!
First time caller, long time listener of AaronLand. I appreciate the ranting of Cleveland Airport. Reminds me of Peter Griffins “You Know What Grinds My Gears” segment during his time on the news. Would like to see more of what grinds Aaron and Dusty’s gears.
I’m impressed by y’all’s composure during disagreements while I’m over here like “OH COME ON FELLAS YOU DIDN’T PLAY POPEYES?!? BELIEVE IN SOMETHING!!!!!”
Y’all made fun of Dusty for being so specific about the donut gas station but I was one of those listeners that knew exactly what he was talking about! Respect! My family lived in Clarksville and we would stop and grab a dozen (or a few dozen 😬) every time we passed through on our way camping in KY.
Dusty’s shirt is called a guayabera. It’s light and thin to stay cool while picking guavas, and the extra pockets are to hold the guavas. Suave Dustin, suave
I’m surprised the Alabama guys didn’t mention Jack’s. I just moved back to Alabama after living in Nashville for 9 years and besides getting married, getting jacks whenever I want is the highlight of this year. Jacks is doing really well down here 👍.
As a native of the suburbs of Chicago to a current resident in North Carolina, I can say that I have experienced all of these chains including an In and Out visit I made in Las Vegas. I personally would have gone with Culver's as the champion, but in the end this was a “respect the player not the game” type of situation.
Another great episode! Braums Bates, keep up the good job on picking subjects. I have been in more than one argument about how many people you can order for in the drive through. I say no more than 5. Any more than that and you have to go inside out of courtesy to those behind you. Being the premier fast food podcast I wanted to see where you guys land on this.
As someone who grew up in the backwoods of NJ and had to drive 20-30 minutes to get food because nobody delivered to us, when I got to college and found out that people had pizza, Chinese food, etc. delivered to their house was so wild to me. It shocked me even more the first time I got food delivered to my dorm.
Long time caller, First time listener here. Bilbo Bates was right when he went with Culver's. I have family that lives from coast to coast now and Culver's is a must have when they come back to Wisconsin. Do the full experience with double butter burger deluxe with bacon and cheese, fries and cheese curds. No need for the side sandwich! Top it off with a flavor of the day custurd. They do make you pull forward a wait like 2 minutes but that is because it is fresh! Enjoy it when come to Wisconsin boys!
Have been listening for awhile but this is the first time I've watched, but just realized I've associated Aaron's voice with Brian's face and vice versa, and now that I realize I've had them mixed up I don't know what to believe anymore. Thanks for the existential crisis!
Almost 140 episodes and I’ve been read twice! Not a Mayor but I thought about running for office before then thought “naaaaaah. I’ve got better things to do”. Glad to hear you guys reading good comments again. 😂
When subway was promoting their sandwiches, as healthy and featuring Jared, eating, just subway to lose weight, there was a local sub shop in Baltimore area that put up big billboards with pictures of big overstuffed subs, and the tagline “Nobody’s losing weight on our subs.”
I don't frequent malls, but our local mall's food court has become far closer to what Dusty described mall food courts used to be. My wife and I go there to find surprisingly authentic asian dishes. Growing up it was all fast food, panda express, and sbarro's. Now it's shawarma and pad thai, which I find delightful.
Hearing you talk about the guy who used a table leg against Nolan Ryan reminded me of Willie Harris. He played for the Atlanta Braves in 2007 and used a souvenir bat he found in one of the manager's offices. He said he was in a hitting slump and wanted to try something different. He ended up with six hits in that game.
I have to say, as a life long fan of RC Cola, everytime y'all said RC, I thought of Radio Controlled cars. I am one of the 40 who laughed! Thanks for making me laugh.
The French translation of Kentucky Fried Chicken reminds me of a time years ago when my brother-in-law prepared a special dinner for my sister, who speaks fluent French. He does not speak French, and there was no Google translate back then, but he managed to use the Internet to write a description of the meal in French. It was not flawless. The portion mentioning Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce read “Rays of sweet babies.” 😂
I completely disagree about the chain restaurants theory. Gas station/convenience stores and grocery stores are definitely the last great cross section.
Nate's spot on about coffee. It has been such a huge part of my life that I consume about 5 large cups of black coffee per day at a minimum. I've become so dependent on it that when I'm having trouble sleeping at night, I take another cup and it helps me fall asleep faster.
“..But I don’t know if that’s necessarily a strength-we’ve got actually two competing philosophies here….” -Aaron Fast Food Bracket quotes. This is a great podcast.
“Just hold on loosely. Or lose control. If you hold on too tightly, you’re going to lose control.” Not sure if Dusty knew he was quoting 38 Special 80’s lyrics. Or if maybe it’s just what was playing around the trailer park and it was ingrained in his vernacular. Either way love you guys!
Hello Folks. I live in Bowling Green, Kentucky and went to UK in the 90s. I think the gas station that Dusty mentioned with the great donuts was there back then. Nice to know it is still going. Also, thanks for reminding me that I know too much about fast food. By the way, there is a Culver's in Bowling Green. Love it! Come on up.
Hello Folks and Hey Bear, So Great that McDonald's took the Crown for best fast food joint. Not only did I grow up on it , but it's my Dad's favorite! He especially Loves their Fry's. Once on a late night run to McDonald's, a pointy fry punched a hole in his esophagus and He had to get emergency surgery that night. When we went in the doctors thought we were joking but it's a true story and my Dad hasn't seen McDonald's Fry's the same since. Love the Pod. Let's go Folks!
Once again, Dusty with an incredible one-liner that goes unnoticed. His "the microwaves bring people together" dig at Applebees was amazing.
The best line for sure.
Im okay with these brackets taking a couple episodes to get through. I enjoy the conversation and stories that come along with each battle.
Cereal bracket next!
Yes! It was WAY too fast.
For some reason Dusty’s trip to Miami seemed more transformative than Nate’s trip to the other side of the world.
I’m a changed man.
As a Cuban-American, love to hear Dusty’s love for Cuban culture🙌🏽
Dude I can’t stop talking about it. I love it.
Nos lo estamos pasando bien, y hola oso!
(We’re having a good time, and hey bear!)
Nate: Let’s try to get through this fast. Let’s not drag the fast food bracket out.
Nate immediately after: “Does that shirt come with shoulder pads?”
I love how all over the place you guys get. It’s what I’m here for!
Dusty is absolutely fighting back his desire to comment on the age of the earth at 43:25. Haha
Lol at science..."13b, 26b, whatever"
Because he's an idiot.
I love that Nate tried to describe to us what Bojangles is like by using a much smaller and even less known franchise. Great job, folks!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Very smooth exit at 28:01, Nate😅 No one saw or heard a thing. This podcast is my better-help. Thanks for all the laughs
hahaha! I had to go back to see what you were referencing. That's freaking funny!

Long Gone Silver’s was too funny! Deserved much more, but glad Brian caught it.
Nate: can we get through this today?
Nate 10 seconds later: That shirt come with shoulder pads?
My exact observation 😂
You guys should do a “fast casual” bracket! Like Panera, Five Guys, Firehouse subs, Noodles and Co, Shake shack etc
Ol babyproofing Bates was on fire this episode

Any where to download this bracket?
Really appreciated the longer podcast time!

When we went in the doctors thought we were joking but it's a true story and my Dad hasn't seen McDonald's Fry's the same since. Love the Pod. Let's go Folks!
