I had a work road trip this week and got a phone call from my sister that my mom was majorly depressed and needed to get out and be around others, so I invited her to join me on my 6 hour drive. I put on the podcast and she shared that she had never watched any of Nate's stand up. We proceeded to watch every special we could find for the remainder of the trip and the Nate medley made the time go by faster and had her crying with laughter. She said she hasn't laughed like that in a long time, and I think it was really healing.
Thanks for sharing the medicine of laughter! - Brooklyn in Jacksonville

PSA FOR ALL HAMSTER OWNERS! Did you know hamsters hibernate?! When hamsters get too cold they can go into a state of inactivity where it's body temperature lowers and their heart rate and breathing rate decrease to conserve energy. . There is no visible heartbeat or breathing. STOP throwing away your hamsters or feeding them to your pet snakes! They might just be sleeping

So much of the US culture references (Country Music, etc) goes completely over my head - no idea about Zak Brown, Zak Bryan, Joe Diffee etc as they have no profile here - but none of that matters. Interesting interaction Nate brought up about Chris Stapleton. I work with a guy, his daughter is a magazine writer in Nashville and tells us about her interactions with multiple singers. She has interviewed Stapleton twice and both times was just a longer version of what Nate experienced. She said he was not engaged in the interview at all. Doesn’t make him a bad guy, just interesting that her story was kind of confirmed by Nate.

Hey guys wanted to say I love the podcast. Brian and Aaron are very funny and it’s great to have Aaron as a role model since we look alike. As always, I am late to good things, so even though I have known and enjoyed Neil Barngoatyz comedy for years, I failed to start listening to the podcast when it started. That said I wanted to let you know I just finished episode 10 and 11 talking about comedy and it inspired me to finally sign up to an open mic and take a step toward a long time dream of mine. I won’t be able to go up til the 29th or so because I waited to long to sign up, keeping with my life theme of being late to things. I am Butterbrickle’s age, and some of my earliest memories include milk being delivered to the house. Of course, being in the Dairy State may have had something to do with it, and it was finished by the time I started school. We had a dedicated milk chute that I would occasionally have to crawl through if my older sisters forgot the key, and we were locked out. Eventually my dad closed it off for insulation and security.

Same! I watched it when I was about 5 years old when my family went to a cabin in the woods one winter. I was in a weird and unfamiliar attic type room by myself and was terrified 😅

How is it during these soccer vs swimming convos did no one mention Beefcake being in a big jersey, loose shorts and shin guards basically hiding his build vs Dusty having to be in a speedo…one of those seems to “stand out” a lil more to me…Sorry Dusty, regardless of how good a swimmer you are that image isn’t blending in to me

If you guys like the things Dusty brings up on here, check out his podcast "We're having a good time". A lot of times he surprises his own wife 😂

Aaron shouldn’t worry about the awkward Paisley meeting. It sounds like he was asking very “Santa Claus” questions. Who meets someone and asks, “and what do you like to do?” It’s like asking, “and how have you been this year?” “Have you been nice to your little brother?”

Wow, Nate bringing down the room with those tragic pet stories. My friend had fish that kept dying and to keep the kids none the wiser he would tell them he was taking them to the Walmart hospital. Only to be getting brand new fish. I also felt for the fellas when Nate was telling those stories too. They were so sad, and they tries to remain somber but it is hard to not make jokes. Thats how my twisted mind works too. Keep up the fine work up boys!

Nate said " I have a really great story of a snake that I can tell anytime." And then just moved on to the next comment. Took a page right out of bed bugs play book and forgot there are people listening to this podcast.

"My Octopus Teacher" might soften Aaron's heart towards these fascinating creatures. The film "documents a year spent by filmmaker Craig Foster forging a relationship with a wild common octopus in a South African kelp forest." (Wikipedia).

I've never related to Dusty more than when he ripped on Post Malone, Hardy and Morgan Wallen for butchering "Pick up Man"! He's right, it was AWFUL! I grew up on 90's country too, and if Joe Diffie is propped up beside the juke box, he definitely fell over during that performance....

Chowchilla - A town in the Central Valley of California
The word "Chowchilla" is an anglicized spelling of chaushila, the name of an indigenous Yokuts people who, historically, inhabited the areas in and around Madera County. [WikiPedia]. You're welcome out our way Birria

love Nat's perspective, Dusty could say "I was at a show during my set and the club was on fire, someone shot at me and a tornado went by" Nat's reply would be "ya ya, that's great, you gotta go through that, that's comedy, it's important that happened"

Brian (and all), with respect, there is NO WAY Bates could blend in on a soccer field. My son plays amateur soccer as an adult, and a self-proclaimed “good” player joined the team. All the spectators asked, “who’s the clown on the field?” Within the first FIVE minutes he was in. This individual was a soccer player with some decent skills, but it was beyond obvious he was not up to par. Go bobsled.

I watched Nate fly from Chicago to College Game Day and back...and, he had several buddies with him. But, none of the Nateland crew...What's up with that? Do y'all hang "off air"?

Ok, so after Dusty's take on the Joe Duffy tribute I felt compelled to watch it. Well, IMHO, it was awful. Downright terrible. Dusty knows hos stuff.
