When Aaron talked about having the two Big Mac meal, it reminded me that when I worked at a movie theater, we had a brochure with a coupon on the back for McDonald’s where you would buy one Big Mac meal and get a free Big Mac. One weekend, I worked 3 10 hour shifts, and used that coupon twice each day, meaning I put away 12 Big Macs, 6 fries and 6 cokes in less than 72 hours.

When Nate talked about the kids on the table in the 4 story Starbucks, I lost it!! As a Mom who raised 3 boys (who are now grown men), I remember a fun day when we had lunch at Taco Bell. As I finished paying, I looked back and saw our middle son, then 4 standing on the table. In my strongest Mom voice, I asked,"What are you doing standing on the table". He replied with arms outstretched - Seinfeld Style - "I'm not standing on the table, Im getting ready to jump! Clearly, I had interrupted a well thought out, strategic plan. I grew up 30 minutes from Owensboro, KY and we often visited the Executive Inn for the buffet. On special nights we even got to spend the night and use the pool! Leanne is right it was a neat place.
I’m also 20 minutes from Burdette Park in Evansville IN which is where Aaron said he attended family vacations. The bumper boats are closed now but the water park is still open. I enjoyed it as a kid and now get to enjoy it with my kids.

My husband and I were at Nate’s show last year in Monterey. The lady next to me started talking to me and ended up comparing herself to me since I’m a stay-at-home mom and shes unemployed and has a puppy. Then further in the conversation it came out that I homeschool my kids and then she continued to say she’s also a homeschooler because she’s teaching her puppy to be a dog. She talked so much I had to watch the special to fill in the parts I missed. Needless to say, having a pet and being a parent to humans is not the same. Also, don’t talk when Nate is on stage.

Just finished this weeks’ episode with Leanne and was blown away when Nate mentioned French Lick!!
We live in Paoli which is the county seat of Orange County, 11 miles down the road from French Lick.
Kate is a school counselor but waits tables part time at the hotel in French Lick. Our son, Isaiah is awaiting his answer from IU Med School, and in the meantime is bartending at French Lick and our younger son, Caleb caddies at the Pete Dye Course at French Lick when he’s home from school at Indiana.
I grew up here and would love to see Nate and the boys make a visit to the OC!! It’s not Australia or Alaska, but we like it.

I listened to this podcast while running 12.4 miles in the final preparation for my second half marathon on September 17th and was literally able to laugh through the pain. It gave me something to pass the time as well as a time goal to finish (which I just barely made). I'm going to need a podcast on September 13th that is exactly 2 hours and 20 minutes because my goal is to finish quicker than that. If you're looking for a topic my friends and I play a game called "Don't even get me started!" where someone throws out a random topic and someone has to go on a crazy rant about it (which you guys already do). For example: Marshmallows... "Don't even get me started on marshmallows. First off, why are they always white? It's 2023 get with the program marshmallows, secondly the bags they come in, why aren't they resealable, I only wanted one marshmallow now I'm stuck eating the whole bag while I drink my wine LIKE I'M THE PROBLEM!"... You guys are the best and thank you for getting me through running half marathons, I don't know if I could have done it without you.

Good morning and Hey Bear! When Aaron put his hands around his eyes similar to holding binoculars he was doing a good thing to improve vision. Our eyes naturally adjust to the light levels in the environment and if you put your hands around your eyes in such a manner your pupils will open a little more to adjust thus widening your field of view and making whatever you're looking at a bit clearer.
    Cheers,

The groom, bride and myself have been saying "hey bear" to each other for some time now (funny enough, it started unrelated to the podcast) So instead of thinking of my own words to open with, I stole from the Nateland podcast and opened with "Well, Hello Folks. 56:24 the Popeyes not giving change back is not specific to that location bc my mom refuses to go to our local Popeyes for the same reason. My favorite female comedian is Leanne Morgan, who has also been on podcast a few times. I'm a native Nashvillian (actually from Madison, just across the river from Old Hickory... dad worked at DuPont) and my brother lives in Greenbrier, not far from Adams, TN ... so listening to you guys is like listening to home. Thanks for the laughs each week! And stop eating gluten ... I did and I don't get tired like I used to! Lots of good substitutes out there! And Krispy Kreme give me migraines anyway! 🤪

No wonder I have always loved cereal for any meal! I was born in Davenport Iowa but never knew it smelled like cereal. Thank you Nateland for solving another mystery of life for me!

As a mom of three I agree with Breakfast about not being able to enjoy certain entertainment anymore if it shows kids suffering in any way. But I’m worse - I also can’t watch anything too sad, too sentimental, too violent or too scary. Basically what I’m saying is Nateland is one of the only things I can still enjoy! I’m on my third maternity leave and have loved catching up on episodes while hanging out with my newborn. Thanks for the levity and the laughs!

Aaron I'm glad to hear you have a second cat. Two cats are always better than one. They will learn off each other and you'll have more balanced cats. Best to keep em inside if you want them to live long and healthy. Cats are graceful. Clean, neat and small.

Breakfast is dressed like a culvers employee for this episode. Leanne Morgan is the quintessential southern grandmother. "Oh my darlin."

We went to Alaska on the land and sea package for 12 days. Most of it on land. Went over to the Yukon as well. Must go on the land package....so amazing!!! Side tours on a raft, Denali, salmon dinner etc. Trip of a lifetime. Judy

I just want to point out to Brian and all the other people out there, there is no timetable to things. Do things are they come to you, or don't. But don't feel bad about not hitting certain age markers (they are socially constructed and mostly outdated), just live your best life you can

Hello folks and Hey bear! After this episode I want to get a bat and name it, “Hoit Sherman”. 😂 I’m a minister and a bat got in our church once and we use wireless mics. Apparently bats are attracted to the frequency because it kept swooping at my head for the whole sermon. Love the podcast and Aaron I’ll be at your show in San Antonio at Laugh Out Loud on the 15th! I’ve seen Nate in Austin and I’m hoping to catch Dusty and Bran-flakes the next time they are in Texas.

Perfecting timing for this episode. My family and I just got back from an Alaskan cruise to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. We stopped in Skagway and Ketchikan. Aaron, when you are in Ketchikan you should check out the Bigfoot adventure our family had a lot of fun.

While painting a room today I listened to both this episode with Leanne and the fast food bracket episode. Y'all mentioned my home of Paducah, KY twice in this episode. We have an amazing performing arts center so come add a show, Leanne and Nate! Also, Dough Daddy's is the gas station where you get a free donut just off the Bluegrass Parkway outside of Lexington. Four hours with y'all today made painting go by really fast.

I'm glad I found someone that can explain exactly how I feel about watching Will Smith. Nate's explanation really resonated with me. I hope one day I can get over it because he is very talented. For now I just can't enjoy anything he is in.

Leanne, after listening to MGK's song "Don't Let Me Go", I think that conversation on the plane meant more for him than you know.
