It is a neat tactic to use those big heads' big heads as a way to dodge a little of what was going on, but damn there was magic and projectiles flying around faster than at a bar mitzvah. Funny you mention Ys I, as I'm stuck on a particular boss in Ys II. And incidentally, since this area has mirrors, it's the one with the orbiting mirror satellites. Poor Roy, he was definitely our boy. Wasn't afraid to talk down that witch. He was a real man.
Flegan777 Yeah the heads are kinda funny. When they shake you off you go flying in a certain direction with a fair bit of aerial control. The physics seem to be connected to them shaking, so you can stand on one long enough to trigger it to shake, but jump off a good second or so before it actually does shake and you'll still be affected by the directional influence regardless of where you are. It's kinda wonky, to say the least. Also that boss doesn't quite ring a bell...the only one I recall getting stuck at was the spider Druegar.
Vercsase I believe he's called Greenar in the TurboGrafx-16 translation. The boss you can't ever touch or you'll lose HP fast. I just realized those things he released are bats, not mirrors, and you're supposed to hit those. XD
Noooo royyyyyyyyyyy 😭
