Do Not Buy the Icon Alliance!!! I had one on the track and coming on the the straight away the visor flew up and ripped off. I contacted Icon about it. They said maybe faulty visor, sent me a new visor. Sense then the visor has never worked the same.
Dude you got a new subscriber even though I have no interest in any of the gear you suggested as I ride in Canada, most of our summers aren't warm enough for those option. The problem with those Dainese gloves is that they have a leather edge that cuts through your wrist with a superbike stance (since your wrist are always at an angle). I tried them but couldn't resist more than 10 minutes. If anyone else has this problem I suggest the Spidi G-Carbon. Solid, breathable and comfortable
Not sure about other brands, but Fieldsheer Charger jeans were at least one size larger than normal jeans. I can wear my regular jeans under them in the same size and they still have some slack.
@@captainthruster9484 of coerce gloves wear. but punching through the fingertips in 2 years is excessive. my lether dailys after 4 years don't show signs of wearing through anywhere. and its a question of safety. i like the skin on my hands and would rather not have it smeared across the road, and a good glove is part of that. and weak material that disintegrates after 2 years does not pass my safety sniff test. they are spidi str-4 coupe gloves if you wanta know.
Harley bro here, thinking of trying a sport bike for the first time........i ride hard and long and fast, and I keep trashing the drivetrain in the Road Glide because of it, my HARLEY dealer recommended that I do my solo rides on a sport bike from now on so that i will save money on trashing my touring bike. I am thinking R1 but im 6 foot 1, that bike is small, i may go for a katana, money is no object, im 37 years old and have 4 cruisers, usually i roll with 2000cc's or bigger
I got a icon hooligan jacket for warm riding and it was nice for $160 with elbow, shoulder and back protection included. Got a alpine stars for cold rising a alpine star hyper $250 and it’s great even in 40 degrees. I got some Dainese gloves for summer but forgot the style on sale for $50 ash for cold I got so,e alpine SXM-z and good in 40 degree mornings. Just because I love in CO I will ride any chance I get long as it’s 40 or up. I like the gear I got so far. I do want that Dainese from the video for summer though
I use a scorpion eco400 helmet. An icon overlord type 1 jacket. Icon riding pants. Alpinestar boots. Icon gloves. In the colder months I use a joe rocket that is a bit better for wind apposed to the icon but the same bottom gear but a layer under the pants and gloves . Lol and my old xr200 r will go fast enough to grab enough wind to rip the dirt helmet visor and snap it. It cought air one day as I was doing a pull and I just so happened to look up to far and it snapped the plastic on the visor lol .. now it's zipped on .. I should use the exo but I drop the trail bike alot so don't want to wreck it.
The only complaint I have is that there is no back or chest protection (only wrists and shoulders). It would have been nice to have the back protector at this price point.

Well hang on, kevlar is a *kind* of aramid fiber. Do you mean it's an "off brand" kevlar or just a different kind of aramid fiber, like nomex, for the heat resistance because of friction heat when sliding ?

Pretty sure there is no specific supernoto gear because there is no specific supermoto riding style. Some riding their supermoto like it's a sportbike on the track and twisty roads and others going light off road.
Hi! funny as I am looking for some new pieces of gear. Specifically gloves.. While I have short stubby fingers, I find it hard to find a decent pair of gloves without having up to an inch of empty space in the fingers...
If you're looking for leather gloves you can get a size smaller it'll stretch and will fit you perfectly. It'll be uncomfortable for first few weeks but it's much better than riding with loose gloves.

Funnily enough, contrary to what seems to be a popular opinion in the states, the skin/flesh on your legs is also at this same disadvantage, so if you’re concerned about safety then they should form part of you protective gear.

2pc leather suit is must on sport bike. Even if you drive slow.
I always use my onepiece suit if I do anything more than riding to school. It is also the most comfortable thing to ride in if the weather is nice.
