  • Friends gathered in London (and in Truro) earlier this month to remember the events of 1670 that led to the Bushel ruling on ‘Jury Rights’. Penn and Mead reenactments saw hundreds of Quakers across the two cities holding silent gatherings in period dress and carrying signs referring to the closing statements from the trial stating that a jury has the ‘right to give its verdict according to its convictions’.
Here is our Faith in Action film from the day. We appreciate the other organisations who joined us: among them Climate Choir, Christian Climate Action and Defend Our Juries.
