Especially when being quirkless isn’t that common? The doctor DUPLICATES quirks, he says it in the show. That’s why his position was such a clever idea. Being in the medical field and coming across people with quirks allowed him access to duplicating the quirks.

      @TheZapan99 Год назад +42

@@Matty13808 You've got it wrong. The doctor's quirk is Life Force, it slows down his aging process. At some point in the past, AFO took the doctor's original quirk to extend his own life, leaving him with only a duplicate. The ability to duplicate quirks for his research is listed under genius intellect, it is not a quirk. Being the chairman of Jaku hospital, the doctor had access to dead patients (it's implied he euthanized some of them) for his Nomu creation program. There is nothing to confirm or deny he stole Deku's potential quirk beyond his appearance as his pediatrician, it is just a fan theory at this point. Source : MHA wiki, Kyudai Garaki.

Endeavor earned his second spot by putting in the work. Despite never beating All Might in the roster (most likely because of the popularity poll) it was said in one of the earlier episodes of the show that he had the highest rating in villain take downs which means higher than All Might’s. He got the job done. Was he an absolutely terrible father and in which made him a terrible person(at the time)?? Absolutely, however, that did NOT and tbh SHOULD NOT diminish the lives he’s saved and the villains he’s stopped. Most of the Top 10 heroes are in there from popularity. Heroes like BJ and that Wash hero don’t have the power level to take down so many top dog villains BUT they’re good with people and get a huge boost from the popularity poll. Endeavor made second being one of the most fearful and arrogant and rude and not very liked heroes out there, he was not carried by the popularity poll, he simply got the job done better than anyone else and made second place then first when All Might stepped down.

Heres the thing about Dabi, Endeavor is by all technicality no different than a cop who beats his wife. Its a real world statistic that police are more likely to be domestic abusers. Its not the fact that he is not doing his hero job effectively, its the fact that if we put Overhaul( who everyone agreed did monstrous things to Eri) in Endeavor place they should be treated the same. Why i don't agree that Dabi is being manipulative, he is just putting everyone on blast at the same time. And Hero society is corrupt for trying bury information from the public just because it damages hero work as a whole. If a EMS in your city was abusing his family you would want him locked up. Even if he has an amazing rescue record.

When All Might retired, Endeavor was the next strongest hero to replace him as number one. With that being plainly obvious to everyone, peoples faith with Endeavor as the number one was shaken knowing his personality and how he differs from All Might. Hence, he wanted to ask All Might what it meant to be a symbol of peace and he told him to look at what he wanted to protect. This, coupled with Suraj point of how he became number one led to self reflection on his actions. Honestly characters like Endeavor and Bakugo are the best parts of this series just seeing how they start and where they end up

You guys are right that the villains are being somewhat hypocritical with their level of crimes. I think Dabi was just pointing out the hypocrisy of Endeavor being hailed as a hero in public, while in private he was a villain to his family. Dabi doesn’t deny or excuse that he’s done messed up shit himself. Only showed that he’s the product of abuse and neglect that his father carried out in secret. Similar to Shigaraki’s backstory. He believes heroes will “sacrifice” others for notoriety and call it heroism.
That’s why he follows Stain’s ideology, because he believes Endeavor was a fake hero. Not saying he’s not a changed man, but in Dabi’s eyes the man who physically and mentally tormented his family shouldn’t have risen so high. Him being a decent dad is RECENT honestly. Hell, Endeavor was bullying Shoto at the tournament like six months ago or something.

  • @midoriya-shonen

Yea, I get what you're saying about heroes and villains. I think the reason these villains get defended so much is because so many of them are direct victims/results of things heroes did. They're hurting and heroes did nothing to help them. Because heroes and mainstream society are basically the same thing, it's easy for some to see the villains as more of a rebellious army against an oppressive government than real villains. Like, the American Revolutionaries committed war crimes, but of course here in the US they're lauded as heroes against against the villainous British Empire. Plus, I've seen a lot of people who relate heavily to the real life traumas these villains have. Abuse and mental illness are unfortunately very common things and people connect their own emotions to those they see on the screen. They of course feel validated by that experience and want others to understand where they're coming from, I think. Now, I'm not a villain stan. I empathize with them deeply, but I'm not going to go on defending the things I do. This is just what I've noticed after half a decade in this fandom.

Endeavour did try to change & succeeded in most aspects but due to his position & potential negative effect on the masses, he chose to move forward instead of revealing & atoning. Dabi is a villain & is not looking for sympathy really, even when he says he is. He wants to burn down everything Endeavour has built. Undoing all that was done while he believes he was cast aside.
He called himself Stains true successor because he is the stain that Endeavour left on the world. He will continue to spread & dirty his father's legacy until the world decides to throw Endeavour away instead of cleaning it all up. Reveling in it every second of the way. Because the attention/focus is now back on him.
Also don't forget they have all manipulated by AFO to different degrees. Both directly and indirectly. Impressionable kids that went very wrong, very early. They're villains but we sympathise because they could have been saved at one point.. If they weren't overlooked.

Endeavour is the most misunderstood character
    1. Dabi didn't had abusive childhood, to understand dabi equate him with the Tai Lung of kung fu panda 1, actually he had a perfect and most loving childhood, and his feelings toward endeavour is same as Tai lung had toward master shifu.
    2. Endeavour neither forced marriage neither abused or forced his wife to bear kids, actually it was endeavour's wife idea to have more kids, all this idea of endeavour being abusive and only caring about his ambition comes from the shoto's perspective who suffered the most among the siblings, remember the middle siblings lived a wonderful life.
    3. Endeavour wife was already in depression due to loss of Toya, thats why she blamed endeavour for lighting that thirst of becoming best hero which ultimately consumed Toya.
    4. Once Endeavour saw shoto potential, he didn't wanted ir so at best he was super strict on him, its not uncommon for parents to fulfill their dream through their children, only one point where endeavour is wrong is he didnt talked, was more than strict, had no one to talk about Toya so constructed a boundary around himself, was suffering from constant inferiority complex from all might and had a rude outfront.

@@Tubular_dude_20y_ago I don't think you get what I mean. The original person pointed out how they missed something clearly stated in the episode, then you say that it'll be elaborated, when the point was that it was something already clarified in the episode. There might be more to it but the point is that it was already stated the wife want more kids herself cause she thought they'd motivate each other. They just plainly weren't paying attention, and I'm saying that as a casual inattentive watcher. They weren't paying attention and missed something obvious and just made up things about the characters based on their own biases. You don't need a later season to get that

Rei wanted Fuyumi. Not Natsuo and Shouto. Endeavor wanted the 3rd and 4th child to discourage Touya and create the perfect heir. Read the manga.

Favorite episode by far. The realness of the Todoroki family is easily the number 1 i've kept up with the series,

So Best Jeanist controls “fibres” not just denim. Those rolls of cables are most likely Steel Fibers or Carbon Fibres or something like that.

although I like dabi's voice actor in this dub, really nice voice, the dubbing does not have 50% of the emotion that is transmitted in the original with subs,,,, even look at yourselves debating between what some things that dabi said or not mean, just because it is wrongly expressed with some words that are similar but not the same in the dub, many expressions change their real meaning between translation and dubbing,,, for some reason the translations for subtitles are much closer to what the characters really say, context is lost in some details of the dub

Many people knew that dabi is Toya ( but they used to forget everything so i am not surprised that they never saw it coming ) but they executed this reveal in a good way that's what made it amazing

Best Jeanist can control any kind of fibers or threads, it's never said what those cables are exactly, but my assumed head-canon is that they're threaded steel or carbon fiber.

both the dub and sub did amazingly, but i personally liked the dub more, the raspyness on the voice gave it a different feel, way more unhinged than the sub, but the sub of shoto was better, there it had actual despair of "DAD, PLS MOVE!"

I Get The Point Of The Timing With Endeavor Wanting To Atone Being Fishy With Him Now Being Number 1, And He Is An Ass......
But Wer've Seen His Thoughts During Season 5.... He Wasn't Thinking "I Better Atone In Case This Gets Out". He's Ledgit Just Thinking "How Do I Atone For My Past? How Do I Make Things Right?"

You guys need to understand that if society didn't first fail these villians, they never would have become villians in the first place. This is one of the main points in the show

That guy with the pink hair that is listening to Toya's video, he has the same voice actor for Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail which caught my eye and I was like wait why is Natsu in My Hero 😂😂

Best jeanist coming in with the badass main character energy had me hype lol. Also to be fair dabi has literally the least to complain about, he was the favorite until it was discovered that his fire hurt him then Endeavor tuned down on his training. Then when shoto showed up he was being ignored like the other kids. Bro literally became this because he lost his favorite son spot.
