And, if we're to go on how Ayane Sakura did in the original version, it looks like we'll get a great performance next episode from Luci Christian as well (also from Briner, Jerry Jewell, Zeno Robinson, etc.).
You guys notice in this episode that Bakugo, Ida, Ashido, Mineta, and Sero aren't wearing their masks/helmets when Class A was trying to get Deku back to U.A. Even Koda and Kirishima took their headgear off mid-battle.
The scene for the ramp launch is a *parallel* to S3 with Bakugo rescue mission at Kamino (where All Might vs AFO 2 took place) - as they are at the same place now with All Might's statue as a memorial. Iida (not Bakugo) reached for Deku now, as Kirishima (not Deku) reached for Bakugo then.
They didn't do this in the dub, but in the sub Iida mentions Ingenium always takes the hand of a "lost child", which hits hard because even as the most powerful hero Deku is also a lost child, and they need to save him so he can save everyone.

Even after all that whole rescue mission, Deku still not really feeling okay to stay at UA as he said. He was brought back physically, but he hasn't been fully "saved" yet mentally. Like Eri after Overhaul, before cultural festival. Deku was straight up ready to leave after all that work to get him back, but Uraraka had to grab his hand to keep him there. So she will try to complete this mission so that Deku is fully "saved".
Class 1-A will forever be one of the best elements in all of MHA. They’re all literally just one big happy family and it’s the most wholesome and awesome thing I’ve ever seen.👏🔥

Man I honestly believe the dub trumps the sub at this point. Both are excellent, but I see so much more personality in these dub characters than in any other English anime I’ve seen. The tiniest things like Kaminari’s “my dude” just makes this world feel so real.
My 4 favorite things in this entire series is definitely Bakugou apologizing, Eri getting to smile again, All Mights speech after defeating All for One, and Kota calling Deku his hero. But man, Bakugou apologizing hit me hard
I like the fact that there were only 2 characters that didn’t get a moment with deku and those are the 2 that the fandom have the most theories about one of them being the UA traitor. Horikoshi knows what he’s doing 😉
I'm completely fine with a delay if it means getting to see everyone's reactions. The rest of the season is amazing and definitely worth the wait! This episode absolutely wrecked me. I appreciate how the dub makes Bakugo sound a bit more regretful in his apology. The Japanese version isnt bad, far from it, but something just feels more fitting about the scene in English. He actually sounds sad
Its probably because bakugo's japanese voice is a bit grungy. Or it could be because we understand what dub is saying that we feel that he is more regretful.
Same thing with the final fight in the second movie, Dub Bakugo has some minor emotion in his voice in regards to Midoriya possibly being quirkless again, while japanese Bakugo was deadpan a bit.
A lot of people seem to be missing this, but the line Iida said to Deku "Meddling when you don't need to is the essence of being a hero" is the exact same thing Deku said to Iida back when he helped him fight Stain when Iida was being stubborn about accepting help.
The last few episodes of this season absolutely nailed it. I don't think MHA's managed to hit me in the feels that hard since Eri at the school festival.

He couldn't stand the idea that a quirkless nobody could be so brave, so strong willed, so much of what a hero should be. Bakugo was the wunderkind he was fed nothing but ego stroking for so long and yet here was this quirkless kid who stood up and never backed down, walked side by side.
Facts plus even then it was barely and with him trying his hardest not to hurt them. If he'd been trying to knock them out first then leave it would have been a problem

Deku's admission of his friends having surpassed him is based on their superior maturity compared to him. Because they know they can't fight alone, they're way better than him at problem solving and threat suppression.
I loved this entire manga chapter and episode. Because it COMPLETELY reconciled Izuku and Bakugo relationship. And as someone that has both Izuku and Bakugo as Favourite characters it was really awkward liking a starlight up bully/abusers but any who- first The parallel of Izuku realising that Kirishima will reach Bakugo vs Bakugo realising Iida will reach Izuku. It shows that even tho they have history the know they are not the best or closest ppl for eachother, they are not the others bff, even tjo they understand a F ton about eachother and care alot... enoch brings me to THEE APOLOGY! I felt everything that Bakugo was saying, the _sincerity_ the deep remorse and self reflection and the realization that its not enough and will never be enough but it's the least Izuku deserves and of course catching Midoriya as he fell. This was the COMPLETE redemption of Bakugo and I'm glad that it had all the foreshadowing before this (this fight, bakugo confiding in Izuku about his self blame over all might, help Deku with his secret and quirk training and ofc saving deku) the fact that it had build up really majes you feel it because theres nothing more off putting and mid as a villain or antagonist suddenly brung like "I was wrong" and then instantly forgiven eith 0 pre build up or work/development before hand.

I really like the parallels of Bakugo letting Iida confront Deku at the same location where Deku let Kirishima confront and rescue Deku. The callbacks and references in this show are really good.
Beyond the very specific parallel of the ramp boost launch, the way that 1-A planned for this whole fight in stages felt rather Deku. He's always been the class' top strategist, but between his emotions, his weariness, and their combined brains, they outplanned him.

Deku finally got the apology and reassurance he deserved and ma boy Bakugo finally owned up for his mistakes and became the voice of reason. This episode is beautiful.
I really like the parallels of Bakugo letting Iida confront Deku at the same location where Deku let Kirishima confront and rescue Deku. The callbacks and references in this show are really good.
