Unfortunately we didn’t get quite as much progress done as we would usually like in today’s episode but hope you enjoyed coming along for the ride! Cheers guys 🧡
Nice watch with my Sunday morning coffee guys. I think one of the biggest things I like about your presentations is your honesty. If you make a mistake or do something that wasn't as instructed (the filter on the paint being an example), you put your hands up. You don't go to `edit' and make it perfect. We get warts and all. I like that. There is nothing I find more annoying than business' for example that have a set of perfect reviews merely because they edit or delete stuff they don't like or may reflect badly. I run my business and think its crucial to keep it honest, good with the bad. That's why your integrity is so important. If you don't keep that, how would we be able to trust your product reviews etc when you are on the road? Going back to the video, being a painter myself, I know using a spray gun isn't just a case of point and squeeze. It takes a bit of time to pick up the technique. You did ok. :) It is hard given the cost of materials these days, but a few practice runs on non-incidentals often helps. Your mate will probably advise you but when you do the Mustard, maybe start with areas that are less prominent until you get the feel for it. It would be very tempting to go straight to the bonnet for example but if you mess it up because you haven't acquired that `feel' for the paint and gun, the correction process could be painful. LOL Keep going. Looking forward to next week.
Thanks so much Phil! There’s definitely been a lot of muck ups along the way but it’s all a learning process 🙌🏼 we actually got our mate to do the majority of the yellow paint just in case 🙈 so excited to share the video next Sunday!
Good episode as usual guys! Can I give you a little spray painting tip - Never start on the panel, rather start the gun off to the side of the panel and continue all the way across to the other side and then let off the trigger when you are off the panel again. Keep the gun a consistent distance away from panel - be careful when you are spraying those hanging panels that they arent causing your spray to get too close or too far as they spin. Over lap each pass by aboput 50% and keep your coats light and more coats rather than heavy coats- that will stop the runs and save a lot of time. Keep up the awesome work!
Thoroughly enjoyed the episode but the best part was that things went wrong, you either did more work or modified methods etc. Really helps inspire us ordinary people to keep on persisting. The pallet racking for hanging panels is a great idea. Can’t wait to see your dads reaction to the finished cruiser.
Thanks so much Scott! We've definitely made plenty of mistakes along the way but has been the best way to learn! 🙌🏼 Thanks for watching mate, so glad you enjoyed it.
Awesomeness, is that even a word. Looking great and can’t wait to see it painted mustard yellow. Imagine restoring a 200/300 series in 40 years time. You’ll need a degree in electronics
Jack all eager to show off his work: "but anyway, enough about Megan's clothes..." 😂 Thanks for keeping it so genuine guys. Not avoiding things going wrong or when you forgot things or just anything imperfect. It's so easy to relate to fellow humans, compared to channels where every thing is edited to be right the first time. Looking forward to next week's episode!
Thanks so much for the comment! Really appreciate it as we can often feel the pressure to just get things right, but feeling like we are brining you along for the whole ride mistakes and all has been much more rewarding 🙌🏼
@@itsJackandMegan all good! I restore cars as a profession and it’s good to see you guys having a crack! The cameleon products you are using are hard wearing and should be perfect for the application. Can’t wait to see it finished!
looking great guys, be careful using bog on bare steel, it’s actually porous & will let moisture through it & it will start to rust under the bog, best way is to prime then put bog over the top, eventually it will start to do it 😩 just a tip 👍
Gday Guys ... great Vid again ... Megan, Jack is right ... that work shirt suited you ... For a pair with No experience you're doin a great job on the Fj ... Awesome ... looking forward to next week
You guys made for each other. Love Actually. Massive respect to Megan. Willing to learn all the man jobs. Jack is a very patient man. You guys will get thru every hard part of life as long as you Love each other, Forever. And Ever. 💕💑💕
Hey Tim! Collie is such a great place to bring the dog along! You can camp at Stockton Lake or Glen Mervyn Dam and dogs are ok on a lead at Black Diamond Lake as well 😊
Unfortunately we didn’t get quite as much progress done as we would usually like in today’s episode but hope you enjoyed coming along for the ride! Cheers guys 🧡

Hey guys. We are heading to Collie this weekend. Is it worth taking the dog or will it restrict us too much? Cheers
Hey Tim! Collie is such a great place to bring the dog along! You can camp at Stockton Lake or Glen Mervyn Dam and dogs are ok on a lead at Black Diamond Lake as well 😊
Must be a time lag from WA to NSW❓
Sorry what do you mean by that mate?
