Hi jim. I have the camera but there is one BIG problem that I haven’t figured out. I can’t set my own “Home Angle” where I want it pointed. Regardless of any presets or where I last leave the shot on, it will ALWAYS go back to the straight out shot after about a minute, which is useless for my needs. I need to see people coming which is about 45 degrees to the right but it always goes back to a home setting which points straight ahead. It can’t be the case where you can’t set your own preset starting shot on an expensive camera. The straight shot is such a narrow field of vision anyway Thanks Scott
Thanks for the note, Scott. I tried my camera out - set it at a 45 or so angle and it has so far stayed static. I am using the camera's IP address on a web browser to control the camera's movement. Are you doing the same or are you using a PTZ controller? If so could be the controller that is resetting the viewing angle. If you are using the camera's controls, then you might consider doing a configuration save and then a factory reset. You can always reload the saved configuration file if nothing changes.
@@jimelledge hey jim. Thanks for the response. I just am using the downloaded “CamHiPro” app with my iPhone. It allows me to see more than 200 presets but no static shot of my choosing. Whether I exit out of the cam or just wait about 30 seconds, it always goes away from the last shot I was on to the lame straight shot. I’m not sure how to use the computer version to control my camera. Even if that worked, I wouldn’t want to have to always log on from a computer or website to have the last shot being the one that it stays on… versus a simple “home setting.” Otherwise it defeats the purpose of using the app… ALTHOUGH it would still be better than the useless straight on shot that doesn’t show people coming
I’m using my iPhone with the suggested “CamHiPro” app. I can set any shot from 1-255 but after approximately 1 minute (I just timed it) it reverts back to what it considers the Home position. If I were to use a web based system, (and it actually worked) that defeats the purpose of having the app, because I’d always have to log back on and put it to the last shot I took that I consider the home shot. I don’t understand why there’s not a Home setting”, if there is the ability to present 255 other shots but not the most important one. Thanks
@@scottjones9603 I just tried using the CamHiPro app on my iPhone with the PTZ camera. I setup a Preset Position in the app. Once I called for the preset, the camera has remained in that position ever since. It has not returned back to any previous position. It almost sounds like it is set for tracking. Try this step from the uase manual - call or transfer the preset 68 to turn off the humanoid tracking function, and then use the camera's PTZ function manually.
You need the IP address of the actual camera to control it, unless you are using a separate DVR unit or software program. You can use ONVIF Device Manager software to detect cameras running ONVIF protocol and it will provide the IP address of each camera.
See if this helps - for autotracking - Use preset to turn on human tracking function. Turn on app/software first, find preset setting>> step 1, Enter presetting number 92, click "submit" to set-up human tracking function >> Step 2, Call presetting number 92 to turn on it.
OK, thank you so much. You’re more helpful than the company is. I was getting ready to send this thing So my next thing is, I’m having trouble having it zoom in and out when it finds and see someone it doesn’t seem to track them. They’ll just walk right by and the camera doesn’t move. Also, I would like the camera to rotate left to right scanning and at one point there’s a wall. I wanted to make sure it stops and doesn’t turn looking at the wall and then go back to the other way. I’m using the app camhipo not sure if they don’t show all the settings and of course they gave me that little pamphlet card but I’m clueless on what each thing means unfortunately I’m new to the camera life lol
@@re9473 On the AI detection, do you have it set for Human Shape recognition or one of the other multiple detections? On the CamHi Pro app under Alarm management and recognition, Camera alarm, Adjust motion detection there is a screen view that you can adjust the motion detection area. You could omit the wall from the view and that should help some on detection.

I want to change the location that is froze on and point it to my driveway and then when someone walks by my driveway, it will track them and then go back to my driveway how do I do this and thank you for all the information you’re giving me
Excellent review good sir, thank you.

@@jimelledge that did the trick. Just a “home button” you could set would be swell. Appreciate the help!!
Like what is the website? I’m having trouble finding the website to be able to control the camera and what do I have to use to login?

How do you put the camera on automatic rotation?
