I just received a Sunba P636 v2, and tested it today. It will replace an 8 year old Sunba D20x, that got zapped by lightning last week. Very good optics on this one!
Great video. Is there a reason why your 30x looks roughly the same as 20x? I find that in this range a lot of cameras are either lying or misrepresent their zoom by being 20x and 10x digital or where the 30x is actually a lower f so the fov ends up being same or worse than the 20x. That Sunba size looks crazy.
I bought a "30X" a number of years ago, as we can see in your video most off-brand camera resellers lie about the actual zoom capabilities. Having said that, I paid less than $200 USD for it and the image quality is excellent...good enough that I can use a lot of digital zoom and still have a good image. I've looked at the Sunba 36X a number of times on Amazon but the camera is *_huge_* which is why I haven't bought it, plus it is not Hikvision compatible. Since you had the cameras already setup it would have been nice to see how well each one tracks a moving subject.
Great review so if you need long range identification good magnification and good lens will do the trick however if you record in low magnification to cover larger area then high megapixel so you can later try digital zoom the image itself. It will probably be best if you have 3 cameras in one 2 low quality just to track moving objects and 3rd to rotate and zoom in on moving objects
I just bought a asecam for $67 and the quality is so good it got a 30× zoom and doesn't lag when being zoom, very good for it's price

So, you need to buy a poe switch just for a camera? Looking to connect to a synology
