I have the VE-20 which I've had for years and served very well in both recording and gigging and just bought the VE-500 after seeing some nice choir like sounds generated from a single voice. I also like the idea of fine tuning everything from a PC much more eaiser that way like my Boss ME-80 for my guitar. Its also much smaller and lighter than previous Vocal fx units.
You sold me on the VE-500. I am waiting for it to be delivered as I type this. I dare'nt go for a wee as we all know thats what the delivery man is waiting for me to do.

Hello, I bought boss ve-50" I have noticed that when you use pitch correction or when you use ehnace the treble (and it is especially noticeable on the ''s''), the treble sound is not stable and is noticeable as some noise. Is it normal for this to happen when using these effects? thank you
Wowsers…. I haven’t noticed that with my unit? What power supply are you running? I noticed it was noisy when I didn’t use a good quality power supply?
@@thepedalpicassos thanks for your answer. I am using the original boss power adapter. The problem is that if I do an S (it is more noticeable when doing it sustained over time) the sound is not uniform.... and that happens especially with the pitch correction (the second effect on the list) and also with IMPROVEMENT (from the first effect on the list)
Hi, I am considering BOSS VE-500 or Boss VE-22. I want to have the ability to have specified harmonies and I have a whole band so no acoustic guitar to go through the effect. From your videos I got the feeling the Boss VE-22 would be better for me but wanted to get your input. TNX!
Hello, I'm buying one, but i'm not shure where to put it on my pedal chain My actual chain is Tuner Drop Compressor Revv G3 Booster Flanger Phaser Chorus Delay Reverb Can you help me?
Hi there. Does this looping capability? And for how long? Also, can I use the harmoniser without an instrument? Acapella? Can I input prerecorded sections?
Hi there! Yes… it loops… but vocals only… No… it needs some sort of guitar, keyboard or backing track input so it can reference the chord correctly and give you the correct harmonies… Lastly… you can export your recorded loops per preset… so I’m not 100% sure… but that normally means you can import.wav files too! I hope all that helps!!!
So, you says that it takes normal 9V power supply, but on the manual it says that it needs an "AC adapter". Is that an AC/AC or AC/DC and if AC/DC what is the polarity? Thanks very much, I could not find this info anywhere else

Hi mate! A lot of great questions here! Yes! It does work with a backing track, but there is only one input, so you can only have the guitar going or the backing track going, you can’t plug both into it at the same time. As for the outputs… there are two microphone outputs… but only one input… so I run one microphone output to the mixing desk and the other microphone output to my in ear monitors. Nice video! How does this stuck up against the ve-20 or Roland vt-4? Can you tweak reverb to give wet signal only? Looking for subtle pitch correction of needed without hard auto-tune effects lol
Yep. Sort of… you can set it to a specific scale… if you understand music theory a little bit you will be able to get the harmonies that you want! For example, if you’re singing a song in C major, but you want it to have a B flat harmony instead of a B harmony, you could set the scale to F major
