    You make it look easy! I am tempted to make a four and a half hour drive down to see it but then I would have to drive back home. The thing that makes you different is that you build your own props. Most of us are satisfied with simply putting lights on everything.

    Wonder if I can make this but instead use industrial velcro to attack the walls and candies... something that would be easier to take apart for storage purposes.

    • @IsaacAlexanderDIY
      @IsaacAlexanderDIY  2 года назад +1

      Absolutely. I use Velcro for various of my projects so that disassembling is much easier. In hindsight, I should’ve used Velcro for this to make it easier to take apart

    Where do you guys store this in the off season? I want to make stuff like this but I already don’t have room. Houses Here on Long Island are small. Well not all houses but the ones I can afford lol! I’d need to rent a storage facility for stuff like that!

    • @IsaacAlexanderDIY
      @IsaacAlexanderDIY  2 года назад

      Storage has thankfully not been a problem for me. I have an “attic” over the garage that houses all the decorations for the inside of the house.
      I have a walk in Crawlspace that provides me with a huge amount of storage space. I built a big shed in the back and am building a 2nd one now .

    • @MakeupMobster
      @MakeupMobster 2 года назад

      @@IsaacAlexanderDIY my husband and I have thought of building a second shed as well. We have a 1 and a half car garage and a loft up top where I store Halloween and Xmas. Also my basement stores some stuff.
      Is there any way we can direct message you? I’m working on a DIY nutcracker (I plan on posting a video) and I’d like to know if you have used latex house paint on PVC and how it held up. I really hate spray paint! I am not good at it lol and would like to avoid it if I could.

    I'm curious, where do you store all of this? Could the walls be made one at a time, then assembled so it could be taken apart for storage purposes? I would love it if you were my neighbor, I would volunteer to help you as long as we made 2, lol. Beautiful work!!

    • @IsaacAlexanderDIY
      @IsaacAlexanderDIY  2 года назад +2

      Thank you Cynthia!
      So yes, you can actually make it in sections so it’s easy to take apart and store. You could use Velcro instead of screws so it’s easy to take apart. The wood frame has to be nailed though but the walls can be Velcro or screwed. I wish I had more neighbors like you! We’d make 2 of them
