@@hallowcraft6492 yes pls🙈🙈 and can you also post it so can copy 🙄🤣 I’m sitting here thinking and wishing I was good with tools and how my husband won’t even fix the kitchen sink, how would I ever get him to make this🤦♀️🤦♀️🙄
I clicked on this video thinking I’d be throwing these together with Dollar Tree items and some hot glue 😳 Boy am I out of my league, but you did a great job 👍😁
I made a 50ft string of big c7 style lights using construction lights, big 10 inch plastic easter eggs, green paint, pipe insulation, and green plastic flower pots. I used a bucket for the plug and scrap wood for the plug. They light up, they're big enough to make a statement and best of all, they fit in a big storage container for easy storage!
Important note: After you have painted the bulb, make sure to use a clear coat to ensure the entire bulb is weather proof. It would be best to brush the clear coat on so you have a good layer. Do this on the socket top as well. I recommend spraying clear coat on the socket bottom.
This is absolutely amazing! The amount of work and expert knowledge it takes to build something like this is respectable. I also love how you put lights on the tree behind you. We are those people who leave white lights on our house all year long. I just love the way it makes me feel to see white lights on a home. Excellent work!
You are incredibly talented and a true example of how a person uses geometry practically. I homeschooled my kids and told them that they might actually use geometry (when they complained about having to learn it) - we would virtually carpet a room with lots of angles using one piece of card stock “carpet.” This example would have been more fun!!
I love these so much I watched it 2 times. Initially I planned to make my own. But once I watched the unveiling of the giant piece of styrofoam, I quickly realized I don’t think I would be able to afford to make these. But I definitely enjoyed watching them being made and hope maybe one day come back to this video and make my own great job. Amazing. Creativity.!
Wow, these are amazing. Every year we add a new DIY item to both our Halloween and Christmas decor. This year is 5" 6" Gingerbread men but this is a huge contender for next years addition.
Your attention to detail is admirable. I love these. Instructions were clear and measurements and supply list were easy to understand. Thanks for sharing.
This is dedication! Truly an investment. I’m wondering if a wire frame with fabric stretched over would be easier. And for those of us who failed Geometry. 😮
If we had the land to display these massive pieces, not to mention a barn to store them, I would so have my husband help me make these! I love these!! I’m going to see about doing a much smaller version of these!!
I know that I will never make these but my gracious was it ever so interesting to watch how you made these bulbs! I could not imagine what materials were used to produce such realistic effects! Your job would be so much fun.
From someone that always tried to make her own holiday decoration. This was amazing, and perfect. The detail and just basically how cool they are. So impressed, well done.
It would be nice to streamline the cutting measurements and builds. Just painting the five rubber trash cans you could buy at home Depot, finding a boxed crate already built, stenciling the letters/numbers with a darker green paint, painting and using pool noodles from the dollar tree as the extension cord, for the bulbs... Just spray paint some oversized beach inflatable balls. Glue them down. (To keep the trash cans from moving, put bricks or gravel into the trash cans from wind)
I love how nonchalant you're about picking up some block foam. Looking around my area the only thing available is the one inch pink board at Home Depot 16 bucks a piece I guess I could glue them but I'm looking at like 400 bucks for a big enough block to carve a bulb. Any suggestions
You know the price of a single sheet of plywood right now? He made one bulb. None of us could afford to buy these from him, by the time he factors in his hours of labor. This was super expensive!
@@laurie4275 I just happened to find out the other day! Crazy aint it? Well, he would definitely have to come up with a number for the sale, and not start working on it until he is paid in full! I'd have to get a second mortgage, buy 1 then display it proudly!
Use smooth sheet metal for the base and paint it brass color. Cut the "bulb" to the same diameter as the base and paint it bronze or copper. Paint the tip red or green and you have a giant display of a bullet for the next gun show.
I’m in awe I am so surprised to see such a giant lights. I hope that was a prize involved and if there was I hope you got first place if not, I would give you a trophy and some money. Also it is amazing you did such a beautiful job. You should sell them and get a patent for them.
WOW WEE this is so nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See crafting and making stuff cost and take alot to make cool items like this. sometimes i feel that ppl dont know how much work is involved in making "craft" items. You did a wonderful job at explaining too. this is a keeper for sure. and seriously you should make these and sell them you could get alot from them. i never seen such cute huge lights. thank you for sharing.
THATS ACTUALLY AWESOME!! And A LOT Of MONEY invested!! And YES! like someone else said… THE SPACE TO STORE THESE! But beautiful and LARGE!! Great job!!🎄
The detail on these are really neat but wow, that's a lot of materials, steps, and work. Maybe a simplified version could use a corrugated steel trash can for the socket, and a fan inflated nylon bulb?
I thought about big Christmas bulbs but not like that that is so awesome. That was soooooo creative. You are a bad daddy jammer. You think really BIG!!
Those look so cool and the time it took to make them must of taken forever, but Is anyone else thinking, if they only lite up as well it would look so realistic, and you would have to make the bulbs out of something else besides foam so the light can come through.
This is really cool, but now cut out the center of the bulbs so you can put an actual led light in them, so when you really plug them in, they really light up, I just think that would be really cool for a night display
Incredible work. Well done !!! Could paint and use small plastic outdoor trash cans as the bulb holders. Fabric and wire to shape bulbs into a light shade. Add lights and power and bam !! This allows better storage of the cans, and the shades could be folded down flat.

Is that price for one or all 5?
@@Kbeaty213doesn’t look like it is for all 5. I could buy a great animatronic for the price of one of these 😳
No thank you to much money for one $395 uh no thank you
Am I the only one thinking of how much space is needed to store these when the season is over? 😆
And what sheet plywood alone, costs these days - never-ending the rest of the materials.
That is awesome! You are so talented!!!
@@laurie4275 glad I'm not the only one thinking this! I'm gonna try to recreate this but actually cheap and easy 😅
@@hallowcraft6492 inflatable bulb? Or wire and fabric bulb then they can be collapsed.

I clicked on this video thinking I’d be throwing these together with Dollar Tree items and some hot glue 😳 Boy am I out of my league, but you did a great job 👍😁
I agree...I guess i'll take out a second mortgage on my house to make a few bulbs lol
Fine example of an American. 🇺🇸
Indeed!
I was thinking of doing something similar
Please share pictures and process
Should post a tutorial of yours

Nope. They are amazing, though
Another thing to add: do not use can spray paint on Styrofoam. It will dissolve the foam.
I was thinking exactly that lmao

Facebook marketplace is a good place to find cheap foam!
I'm a woman who loves a man who decides to decorate for the holidays
That shows he's careing and kind 💞😁🧑🎄🎄🎅
This may be the best homemade holiday decoration I’ve ever seen. I wish my dad were still here to help me make a set.
Thank you!
This idea is so cute and original. I would have never thought of anything like this. It would have been amazing if they actually lit up!
Make them out of fabric and wire then they can.
Or you could paint them with glow in the dark paint.
I'm positive someone could make giant epoxy bulbs that can fir smaller lights inside to make it light up
Your creative thoughts on these with how you have constructed them is Amazing!! Your lights are beautiful❤️
This is why I drive around and look at xmas decorations to find gems like this one ! Merry Christmas !!
As long as you don't try to steal them, like the women who were driving around trying to steal the 12' high Halloween skeletons.

For the bulb bases you can use corrugated trash cans to use after the seasons over.
