    The SCAR Episode 3.
    We pick up our overlanding the South Carolina Adventure Route (The S.C.A.R.) in the Francis Marion National Forest. This time I've got my Jeep JKU Rubicon and I'm again joined by my brother Beav in his 94 Land Cruiser and our buddy Brian in his FJ Cruiser.
    Camping in The Francis Marion National Forest proved to be harder and much more muddy than we thought. We had a great time but it came with a lot of new challenges.

    This was a fun episode to watch, as I live right in this national forest. I recognized most of the roads and the little camp sites. Definitely swampy, but has a unique beauty to it.

    Really looking forward to doing the SCAR. Just the drive to Myrtle on all back roads was awesome. Finally started on the wiring harness on my old Dodge, hope to start getting some trails by March.

    Hi SMG Fam. Another nice video. Not sure which rainy weekend this was but gosh. That's a lot of muck. We went north last week and did the first part of the GeoTrav. We found an absolutely beautiful campsite with a couple more in the same area. Looking forward to your next episode. Let us know if you need another Jeep Fam to even the odds. Hahahaha...

      That’s awesome! I really want to do the Georgia traverse next! So we might have to compare notes on campsites. I’m hoping to get to the upstate again either in Jan or Feb.

    I was out on parts of the SCAR in Francis Marion on New Year's Eve (during the day) after a ton of rain the night before, definitely muddy and hit a spot on a side trail (marked on Onx) where water was up over the bottom door pegs on a JL Rubicon

    • @SimplyMustGo
      @SimplyMustGo  2 года назад

      Wow! Yeah we hit some deeper spots the next day, but I’m not sure we hit that one. I’m working on that video now actually!

    I have a stock JLU Sahara with the 32” all terrains. Think I could make it through the majority of this?

    • @SimplyMustGo
      @SimplyMustGo  2 года назад

      Absolutely. You should be able to make it through all of it no problem. My JKU is stock with Discount Tire All Terrains and I had no issues at all.

    It’s all completely flat except for the mud holes. I freakin hate the low country

      It's like home here in the Jersey Pinelands
      I don't need to drive 600 miles to get bogged down and muddy
