That opening shot of the fog on the trees....is bananas...so beautiful. Great message on staying on the trail and not driving on or creating bypasses! That Rutledge property is really cool to see. Awesome campsite on the river...way to clean it up! Looking forward to the next one!

Thanks. Yeah the fog does lend itself to some really pretty drone shots.

Great way to handle the mud hole. Always go through, and not around if at all possible. Tread Lightly!

This place is beautiful and surreal. It’s pretty crazy, the George Washington Oak in front of the house was estimated to already be 300+ years old when Washington enjoyed a picnic under its shade before saying that it should never be cut down.

That’s awesome! I didn’t know that little specific bit about the picnic!

I would never sleep that close to the river.
I can only guess how big the gators are in that river.

I’m really digging your videos of the SCAR! We just moved back to Sumter (from Colorado) last summer, and I’m itching to get out. I’ve explored some of our local portions of the Route, but I can’t wait to get out and check out more. Hope to cross paths with you on the trail!

Hi SMG Fam. That camp site is fantastic!! I'm guessing you guys didn't see any Gators being that the tent was right next to the water? Yikes. Hahahaha... Can't wait for the next episode. Cheers and God Bless.

Is there anyway you can provide a location of the riverside campsite? I live near FMNF and have camped along the PT Trail but would love to find that spot
