That opening shot of the fog on the trees....is bananas...so beautiful. Great message on staying on the trail and not driving on or creating bypasses! That Rutledge property is really cool to see. Awesome campsite on the river...way to clean it up! Looking forward to the next one!
Thanks. Yeah the fog does lend itself to some really pretty drone shots.
Great way to handle the mud hole. Always go through, and not around if at all possible. Tread Lightly!
Thanks!!!
I might need to bring my hand held sonar from the boat :(
This place is beautiful and surreal. It’s pretty crazy, the George Washington Oak in front of the house was estimated to already be 300+ years old when Washington enjoyed a picnic under its shade before saying that it should never be cut down.
That’s awesome! I didn’t know that little specific bit about the picnic!
Very cool
Thank you!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
That breakfast sandwich looks amazing, :D. Great video man!
Thanks! Maybe one day I’ll get to make you one!
@@SimplyMustGo I’m totally down for that!
6:55 this can go all kind of ways))
Haha. 🤣
I would never sleep that close to the river.
I can only guess how big the gators are in that river.
great series!
Thank you! 🙏🏻
I’m really digging your videos of the SCAR! We just moved back to Sumter (from Colorado) last summer, and I’m itching to get out. I’ve explored some of our local portions of the Route, but I can’t wait to get out and check out more. Hope to cross paths with you on the trail!
Thank you so much! Yeah it would be great to see you on the trails sometime!
Some of my friends just went into the francis Marion Forrest the I’on trail I made a video of some of the off-road obstacles we hit. We will definitely be checking more of francis Marion out!
Yeah it’s a great little area.
Hi SMG Fam. That camp site is fantastic!! I'm guessing you guys didn't see any Gators being that the tent was right next to the water? Yikes. Hahahaha... Can't wait for the next episode. Cheers and God Bless.
Yeah no Gators this time, but I do have a trip planned for this spring that's going to be A LOT of gators.
@@SimplyMustGo gators? Florida trip? Hmmm... :)
@@DuyanFarms not Florida. SC has an island that’s full of them. I went years ago to photograph them and I want to go back.
@@SimplyMustGo Really? That sounds gnarly. We'll be waiting for the video.
@@SimplyMustGo You all stay safe up there. Weather is supposed to be a little goofy this weekend. ~Mike and Ester~
Is there anyway you can provide a location of the riverside campsite? I live near FMNF and have camped along the PT Trail but would love to find that spot
All fun and games camping by the river until one of those broughal Gators grabs you in your 10th and roles you in the river. LOL
I grew up with gators in my backyard. Believe me. I know. Why I slept in a RTT 100 yards from the water. 🤣
How did you find where to drive? Is there a park map?
You can get all of the route data from scadventureroute.wixsite.com/website
Is this the francis marion grave?
No the next video (part 5) has his grave site.
Can you send me a pin of the Campsite near the river in this video?? I live in Mount Pleasant with a jeep. We usually camp along the Intracoastal near Buck Halll, but would love to find a secluded place like this!!!
Hey have you found the campsite location? I cant find it on the website
Love to know too.
Yeah there is nothing more fustrating that not being able to help someone or something. It's the worst.
