- We go to Seradifalco in the Province of Calatanissetta and Tortorici in Messina to find the ancestral homes of a NY couple. For more Sicilian experiences join our channel group here:

Watch as Sicilians help us find the exact home in Seradifalco, an area once full of miners now mostly relying on agriculture. In Tortorici we find narrow cobble stone streets and beautiful churches. Remember to ask locals what the typical products are for the area. We also have a cannoli stuffing recipe for you that is simple and delicious!

The experience of finding that piece of you ancestral heart is like nothing else. It's a spiritual journey completed.❤
Well said!
So proud of all of your efforts
Buon giorno! My heart was so happy to see all that cacciocavallo hanging up in the store. It reminded me of seeing it in my grandparents' ancestral Sicilian village a few years ago. It's about time for us to go back. Thank you for this episode.
Grazie!!
Thank you for posting!!! Tortorici is my Father in laws Home town! Surname Costanzo- I’ve been there many times- will actually be there next week!! 1/18/24 - great town away from everything very few tourists ever go there - I love the Nebrodi mountain region!!!
Love your videos! My maternal grandparents are from the island of Salina, which is part of the province of Messina. I was fortunate enough to visit many years ago and met some of our relatives, but unfortunately lost touch. The family roots can be traced back to the area for more than 900 years. Fascinating when one is able to trace their roots. Thank you for sharing and the New England accent brings me home!😊
Beautiful!!! We love Salina. Maybe you can find family again.
Tom and Karen so happy for you both. I will never forget my trip to my Grandparents home in Adrano.
I will never forget our trip together!
Always happy to see Karen and Tom. Hope you convinced them to join us in June.
Buona domenica a tutti! 🎉❤
That is great the all the Sicilian's help you. My grandparents came over from Modica, Sicily. The last name is "Rosa" (Grandfather). I am sure it will be harder to find their home. Also Scarso is my grandmother's maiden surname. I think we have some family on Scarso side in Modica, so they can help also.
Karen so happy for you! ❤ Buon anno! 🎉
I love all your videos! Thank you very much! 🙏

Hello guys I am anxious to be in the labor force. Then be able to join the rest of the RUclipsrs that are part of You, Me & Sicily. Last night mother and I were watching something on RUclips about Catania and how there is a small little place that cooks horse meat and people stop by on a lazy sunday afternoon and have that and some beer by the brand name of Messina just like the town. Have you ever heard of it?
A section of Catania has several restaurants specializing in horse meat
And I know who they are!!!❤❤❤
Wishing I could be there one day in cattolica Eraclea…
Lets make it happen!
Thank you.
So touching to watch others experience what I dream of experiencing🫒🐑🍅My family left mid 1800's. I have my Bis-Nonno's birth certificate from Monreale. What are the chances of finding his ancestoral home?! Grazie mile
Any thoughts.....
You may be able to find it at the commune(town hall in Monreale ) or hire a researcher or genealogist to help you find it.

My dad's father frome Santa Ninfa
Province of Trapani. Beautiful!
@YouMeandSicily The last and only time I visited Sicily was in 1972. When I visited Santa Ninfa, it had been destroyed by an earthquake. I remember waking in to the mother church rubble all around but I walked up to the alter.
@@rosem6483 part of my family is from there as well...I also have roots in Partanna...Cheers
