You're an inspiration! You are enjoying life and obviously love❤ eachother. My advice (I'm 73 and moved to southern France 20 years ago) to you two is never change and follow your dream and when wake up, find you are still where you want to be (my advice, Italy)❤❤
You are the cutest couple! My goodness two beautiful people. I love this place by the sea. I would live there if I could. I enjoy seeing various locations in Italy. That is why I subscribed today. This place is stunning.
Calm,no!Warm yes!Ever seen the sea between Sardinia and Corsica when the Maestrale is blowing?I have,we took the ferry from Bonifacia back to Sardinia,it was a nightmare.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us through your blog. I absolutely would love to Italy it is my dream destination especially Sicily. Here are a few encouraging scriptures for the journey you are on. I hope this will be encouraging. Mark 11:24 "I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you've received it, it will be yours" Psalm 37:7 "Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes" I will be praying for you and your husband. What a beautiful couple you are. Many blessings from Oklahoma 🙏🏻💜🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing your vacation with us. You are a loving & beautiful couple & the surroundings are magical. I’ve traveled to a lot of places in Italy but not Sicily. Maybe one day.
Thank you, me and my wife travel all over Italy, but would like to know the place you and your wife were at in last episode. The house on the hill with an amazing view and pool. We will be celebrating our 38th anniversary and would love to stay there. Thank you, Dannie & Karen
No matter where you both are, where you go… your love and respect for each other shines through. And your humor is delightful, also. Anywhere in this grand world is fun with you two!!
@Silv.iait3 it is about how you live, I worked in the US and Europe, there is such a big difference, I prefer the easy, slower lifestyle in southern Europe.
Ah! Bella Sicilia! Thank you for sharing your vacation to Sicily. I visited for a month in 2013 and loved it! I especially loved the Sicilian people. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Even more so than the main land Italians. The best pastries of my life? Maria Grammatica's in Erice!

Leave everything and wander have property in Sicily. That's where I first saw the dark blue ocean. 💙 It is beautiful! I am sure the food is excellent in Sicily. 😊🎉
So much good luck to you two, you are very kind sharing your becoming a family with the world. May all your dreams realise and soon ! house looks great but the grocery I have to asmit is quite expensive for local products , but all is not important, soon you will have to cook for at list three !
You two are the cutest! Jessi, I feel your pain in the cold water!! We southern girls agree on cold water… I moved from Mississippi to Michigan near Lake Michigan and after 19 years here, still can’t totally go under and swim in the lake….brrrrr 🥶 it’s too cold for me!! 80° is perfect water temps for me!! 😂 Loved your video, so beautiful there!! Grazie Mille, ciao! 😘
I lived in Sicily outside of Nicolosi and we’d just moved into our villa and Etna woke up! (2001) Great memories. It was windy the day we moved in prior to the eruption and the movers decided to burn the moving boxes in the field next to our house. It almost set the house on fire! Mio marito was in Catania and I was in The field in a long cotton dress trying to put the fire out with a hose that had no pressure. 😱 Fire department showed up in a tiny jeep with two small canisters of water and five minutes after they left, the fire started up again from the undergrowth! I don’t remember what happened next because I think I’ve mentally blocked it out 😂 House was fine but it was touch and go for a bit.
When you move back to Italy get a house with a swim spa its like a pool with a current you can swim against, and there are seats around the perimeter and you csn hest it up to 105 degrees warm
We leave Cefalu in a few days after being here for the month of November. It has been a lovely place to relax and rest after a little while in Palermo. We also took a road trip to Agrigento (highly recommend!) and now we are heading to Rome. We loved the village and our evening strolls through the ancient streets. Cheers!
I have only been to Sicily in the winter, but what first struck me was how late the leaves were still on the trees. I was temporarily working there in a Factory and was amazed by the food that was being served. I would not have expected anything that is coming from massive pots in the Canteen Kitchen, to have tasted good. But it did and the Nonna that were preparing it, were competing with each other to server you more. If I had stayed any longer I would have only been able to leave by Sea.
WOW! What a perfectly enchanting villa...would you mind sharing how/where you find the places you stay? We have a friends we like to travel with and would love to book a spot like that as a home base to explore. A place like that would spoil us forever!!
Oh my god! What an amazing place you rented! I could live there 🥰 … thank you for sharing! You need to get one of those chocolate croissant one day, I want to see how they compare to France’s pain au chocolat.

My grandchildren are half Sicilian, my son's ex wife's grandparents and both of her parents came to the US from Sicily as children. It's really interesting to see where my ex daughter-in-laws family came from. It's so beautiful there, it must've been difficult to leave and immigrate to New York City.
