I finally just did this to my hair, since watching your video. I have darkish, dirty blonde hair, as well. It looks exactly how yours did... I’m surprised how great it works and practically no damage!! Thanks for posting ✨👩🏼
Key word Dirty Blonde Roots - meaning her hair is a natural level 7 or higher. All results will differ determining your natural level. So yes her hair looks great. On natural level 6 or lower it will not get that light. So please understand that all results may very or seek a professional. Color is not one size fits all. But great video! Sincerely Professional Hairstylist ✌🏻
You’re absolutely right. But there are high lift colors now that can be worked on level 6, especially with a 40 developer. Generally, when there is no bleach, your lift is just not going to be “like the girl in the picture”. I hope people realize this!
Hairdresser melted my hair so I’m looking for alternatives 🥲 I’m naturally a level 7 too !! Wanted to try 12/81 too. What level do you get with it? 🧡thank you ☺️
Thanks for the tutourial! I'm going to cut my hair super short and shave the bottom half of my hair and dye the top half of my hair this color. I'm a dirty blonde sort of color so this'll be fun ^^
I expect you are aware of the fact that you get that result (platinum ash blonde) because your hair is naturally very light (probably level 8/9), definitely not a dirty blonde. With this I mean that someone with darker hair (darker than a level 5-6) shouldn`t think they will get a similar result using a high lift dye. This type of dye can lighten 4-5 tones, this depends on the peroxide used, 9% or 12%. The higher the percentage of peroxide in the developer, the more the dye will obviously lighten. However, in dark-haired people the result will always be a golden/copper blonde, or even just orange sometimes...Also, in my opinion, using bleach with 6% peroxide and then a toner usually causes less damage to the hair than high lift dye with 12% peroxide.
Interesting re your opinion on bleach; I have a very fine and porous hair, about level 8 naturally; I can only use highlift for highlights as every time I have had bleach the hair has started to break - literally bits snap off at the ends - after a couple of weeks. In my case the hair is definitely healthier after highlift only.
@@ArcturusAndromeda yeah and I am a cosmetologist and I agree it depends on the integrity of the hair, the texture and natural color… I am a level 7/8 naturally and I have moved over to high lift blonde instead of bleaching and toning. The double process over time does overlap no matter how careful you are… and then inevitably will break. I prefer high lift color. I just received this exact color and toner she uses in this video. I am excited to do it! Normally I use 30 volume but I do add olaplex and have noticed it is true about it causing the lift to not preform as well. So I am hoping olaplex with the 40 volume will be at a 30 volume level!
What developer strength do you use for your toner? I’m saving your video as it is the ONLY one that exists that resembles exactly what I want! You’re brilliant and thank you ❤
i’ve never dyed my hair before but i love to watch your dye your hair when you do! even when you cut your hair omg i would never have the courage to try that hahah your hair does look cute though!! it’s a very pretty color!! i love how light it is!
I’m trying so hard not to dye my hair but it’s driving me mad hahaha! You made this look super simple but you did a fab job and your hair looks so healthy!💗
Thanks ! It does really helps! I have used it before but mixed with 12/96 and 9/86 which was not so satisfying. Will try only this one , it looks incredible!😘
okey here i saw it.. Wow so good...even without a bleach...may be thats why your hair looks that lively and smooth...but one question..your hair is already this white...Does it means that you have used this product many times before? Will it works on my black Asian hair too??.And its even better after few days as it appear too violet/ too ashy just after you coloured!! if that make sense,.👌🙄
Thank you so much for your video. It help me so much as I was looking for something less damage than bleach to blonde my hair. I just order the product although I could find it as a high lift but still can’t wait to use it. Thank so much!
This is really satisfying to watch! I am so incredibly nervous to do mine and have literally not done anything to my hair since before lockdown and it definitely needs something! 😂
Hello, I've been using the wella high lift tint on my hair for many years now. Can you suggest a tonner to use between dying your hair to prevent brassiness please? Thanks
Their high lift is quite nice, but if you're darker tham a level 6 you will get unwanted warmth. Just a fact. She's probably a natural 7 and it is ideal for level 7 or higher. 40 vol and a lot of ammonia is one route, for sure, but it does open up the cuticle.
I have natural redblonde hair and always used bleach when I want to get a white blonde. I'm going to try this color the next time :) Do you have problems with burning / itchy scalp during the application since it is a 40 vol developer which is often not advised for an on-scalp-application?
I think the colour turned out really well on you Hun, it's good that it isn't bleach too! Also I'm pretty sure I used to have that photo of the autumn trees in my old flat haha xx
Damn so I just used the 12/16 with 40 volume on my roots which are dirty blonde as well, and it turned them pink! It’s supposed to have ash violet undertones so I’m trying to figure out what went wrong
Absolutely love your hair!!! I bought 12/81 and 12/96, thinking about mixing them... do I have to leave it in for an hour and does the dye ever itch and sting or burn?
@@jenhasago7561 Amazing colour! You are lucky to have natural blonde hair so using high lift you achieve a great colour. I use high lift as well however my natural hair is medium brown so I achieve a golden blonde instead but still, it does not damage the hair the same as bleach does and I am happy with it. How often do you do your roots?
Hi jen, when you say about running it through the ends , do you use the stuff that’s already mixed up ? Or mix up a new lot? Or just use the stuff that’s already on your head ?
Looks fab but should not be using high lift tint to tone those ends. Very damaging especially with 40 volume. Id recommened lowering that volume right down if you must do the ends xx
I have level seven natural hair so it's a bit darker than hers and it's already bleached so I'm very interested on trying this on my bleached hair to het it lighter and then just do regular bleach on my roots cause I'm scared that my natural hair won't lift to the shade of platinum I want. Has anybody tried high lifting on already lightened hair just to lighten it more?
I haven’t tried it before, the high lift tint does tone as well as dye the hair. I would suggest using purple shampoo after you’ve used this just to be safe💜
@@jenhasago7561 I had the same problem with the purple. Head & shoulders worked eventually, but do you know how I can avoid the purple or at least significantly reduce it? Could I do 40 mins on roots and 8 mins on length or would that not be long enough to keep it on? My hair outcome was more purple than blonde and it took a lot of washing it out over 2 weeks to get it to the blonde...
does it have bleach or something? After bleaching my roots they're always too yellow only guy tang's dyes have worked to get that really nice platinum color, like not even the wellas could get it out, but I can't seem to find them anywhere near me anymore. I guess I'd try the 12/81 to see if it really tones my yellow roots to a white color
Yes that's correct.you are seeing the added toner in the colourant.it won't turn you purple.even if it did over toner purply hair tints wash out in 4 washes if you use head and shoulders shampoo.then it just leaves the white blonde behind.its very safe.i am knowledgeable about hair dyes .

No bleach inside at all. A high lift tint lightens hair without stripping and damaging hair. People use it because it tones the hair at the same time whereas with bleach you have to tone it separately x
