Just a tip when you brown the meat: it's easier, even if it's 2 pounds of beef, to just form it into a big patty roughly the size of the pan it will be cooking in and cut it into 4 sections when you flip it. You'll get a much more even browning and it'll brown better.
Josh you’re just like me - the more meal prepping I do, the less time I want to spend doing it, and I am always trying to find quicker and easier recipes to make. This one is genius! Can’t wait to give it a try.
me and my missus have been using your meal prep guides and it's saved us so much money and time. keep it up! thank you. I also appreciate the way the values/amounts change on your website when you change the servings.
Just made this today. Skipped the kale, added 2tsp of minced garlic in with the onions. And a healthy ammount of a burger seasoning spice blend to the beef. This one is in point! Absolutely delicious.
this has quickly become our go-to meal prep recipe, i revisit this video and the website basically every week at this point. by far the tastiest meal prep i’ve ever made 🔥🔥
Man thanks for your videos. The original burger/Big Mac bowl has been my lunch for at least 5 months now. I can count on 1 hand how many days I haven’t eaten this. I have lost about 20 lbs in that time
Made this recipe today and it's awesome! A little spicy brown mustard really kicks up it a notch! Can't wait to eat these over the next couple of days!
Stumbled on your channel when I was searching for more interesting ways to cook ground turkey. I am so thankful for your videos - and wit. Appreciate you, Josh!
Great idea. Whe I roast potatoes I par boil them in the water with baking microwave 7 to 14 min based on the cut and the microwave then another 2 min without the water to dry them. It gives a great crunch that lasts better
Since finding your channel I have found it great for eating a meal after worker but also getting veg into my diet. I am currently using your foods recipes to help with weight lose without having to eat bland and boring foods. Thanks for the amazing videos and time you put into them.
Yeck! Pickles and Kale? Well I’ll not be a cry-ass because every recipe I’ve tried have been great so I’ll try this one. I’ll go ahead and give it a 10 without even making yet. 😊😊😊
Dude, great recipe! I especially love how you HOLD YOUR FORK LIKE A SAVAGE! 🤣 Seriously, though, this is an excellent, easy recipe. Thanks for sharing!
Your hatred of kale amuses me because it's a staple for us here with my Dutch-Canadian family. Not only is it featured in a very traditional and very easy to meal prep Dutch meal, Boerenkool (meaning Farmer's Cabbage), which is shredded kale boiled with potatoes and mashed with sliced bratwurst added after. It is also the most reliable vegetable in our garden because its incredibly resistant to blight and frost, making it ideal in Canada's humid summers and frost fraught falls.
Made this and super tasty. With the kale, I also put in some purple/red cabbage for extra colour and nutrients/anti-oxidants. I kind of wish I put more kale/cabbage in, as it wilted quite abit anyway.
I just found your channel but I'm really like the videos that I've found so far! These recipes make five meals and don't seem that expensive at all! I'll definitely be giving some a try :)
That's also a good way to stretch the recipe into more servings too. Like just add 6 cups cooked rice and now you have like 8-9 servings instead of 5. Might try that today
If you have an air fryer, you can throw the potatoes in there for ~20min at 400 and accomplish the same thing, except it's easier to clean the air fryer basket than that sheet pan imo.
bro I use my dodge promaster for camping, got solar, batteries and air fryer and induction cook top. I be making food on my lunch break. This is something I will cook in my van, in the parking lot! Peace
After seeing your speed cooking Video... and "slice garlic" (FRESH ONE!).. I was worried that you lost your Elsa Ice Princess Plastic Cup - Touch to the People. Seeing you drink from the Ikea bowl settled my worries for ever. Thanks for being you ;-). Edit: Tell the Zwilling guys, I just bought a vacuum and bag set because of you!
did this turned out great will be making this alot with prep also kinda lazy but i found getting frozen potatos and browinging thoes alot easyer then cooking fresh and also makes prep only 15-30 min
If anyone sees this if you prefer sweet potato USE IT OMG JUST HAVING MY FIRST DAY WITH IT SO SO MUCH BETTER, also original recipe slaps this is one of my favourites love you josh x
Hello there, Thank you for adding the metric system to your recipes. This is very helpful. By any chance could you add the „freezability“ to your meal maybe to the end when you show the macronutrients? For example this burger skillet could be freezable right? The only thing I doubt it the potato they tend to become very mushy and get a sponge like texture. Thank you again for your great recipes.
You had mentioned in an earlier video that now you have a house you could grow some vegetables just wondering what you ended up growing. Love the content.
Josh I made this and like it. Even the pickles. Chili-Mac was my go-to meal. Now I have two! Or is it 200? Dunno. I have choices, thanks to you. BTW I see other people doing meal prep on RUclips. I don’t watch them. Sticking with what works.
These cheeseburger skillets look amazing! 😍👌 And the fact that they can be meal prepped in just 40 minutes is incredible. It's great to have easy and delicious options for busy weeknights. Can't wait to try this recipe out! 🙌🍴
I continue to admire our unhinged meal prep genius video man. Drinking from a stainless steel bowl, challenging every aspect of life.
This channel's unconditional hatred for kale is why i subscribed.

You could honestly throw the whole thing under a high broiler too.

Josh using kale is like character development. So proud of our boy 💪🏻
Yuck
Burn the kale. You know it must be done.
Just wait for his vegan villain arc
@@TheMealPrepManual Try lightly covering in oil and baking kale. Kale chips taste incredible.
@@NazzyDragon they taste like bum!
I’ve been making this meal at least once a month for a year now, because I absolutely love it! Thank you! 🙏
this has quickly become our go-to meal prep recipe, i revisit this video and the website basically every week at this point. by far the tastiest meal prep i’ve ever made 🔥🔥

Just made this----substituted the sliced potatoes with shredded potatoes (Simply Potatoes). Ahhhh-mazing!!
Drinking from a stainless steel bowl, holding a fork like a caveman and insulting your kale before consuming it….followed! 😂❤
Great idea. Whe I roast potatoes I par boil them in the water with baking microwave 7 to 14 min based on the cut and the microwave then another 2 min without the water to dry them. It gives a great crunch that lasts better
Just make sure to let the potato cool before you pack up and soggy or wet sauce will still make them soggy
I am so thankful i found your channel!! you take all the work out of meal prepping. all i need to do is buy and cook it
Since finding your channel I have found it great for eating a meal after worker but also getting veg into my diet. I am currently using your foods recipes to help with weight lose without having to eat bland and boring foods. Thanks for the amazing videos and time you put into them.
I made this with green cabbage fried in the beef fat and made a burger sauce rather than ketchup... GLORIOUS meal prep tasting like a cheat meal
You can also use parchment paper for the potatoes! :)
Thanks for the recipe! Just made this but put it on a flour tortilla with sliced tomatoes and hot sauce. The house loved it.
Made these for lunch this week. Sooo good!!
Odd one out, we enjoy Kale. But we do get the chopped kale for Aldi so maybe that makes a difference.
Big fan of their Kale as well
Awesome meal prep, and I love the commentary. I was laughing out loud several times.
I would put the pickles separately so I don’t microwave them. Looks delicious!
Stainless steel bowls works great for water on most days, but you better bring out the Elsa bowl for date night.
Josh, I have now done (5) of your meal preps....so good!!! For this week I made your Dijon Chicken and pasta dish....omg amazing!!
I may be an Asian living in an Asian country but DAMN I love Josh's cheeseburger skillet the most! ❤❤
Now this was the perfect recipe for this week, thanks! 😮
Yeck! Pickles and Kale? Well I’ll not be a cry-ass because every recipe I’ve tried have been great so I’ll try this one. I’ll go ahead and give it a 10 without even making yet. 😊😊😊
Your commentary is on par. Thanks for the recipes and the chuckles.
I'm glad to hear someone share my kale thoughts. Sometimes I feel like I'm in an alternate reality when I hear people in food videos talk about it.
I love your style my man, subbing just for the laughs in your meal prep videos! Gonna make this one tomorrow
Dude, great recipe! I especially love how you HOLD YOUR FORK LIKE A SAVAGE! 🤣
Seriously, though, this is an excellent, easy recipe. Thanks for sharing!
Would spinach be an acceptable alternative to the kale?
This meal taste awesome😋, thank you for the recipe.
My absolute favourite … make this on the reg and I add rice to it as well. Banging!
Thank you so much for adding metric measurements.
I love you and I appreciate how much you've taught me when it comes to meal prepping. But brother, we need to talk about how you hold your fork

Made these. Really good, simple and easy to adjust to your own taste!
This recipe smacks. Been grubbing on it all week.

"Oh hey Josh is finally eating with his fork in a relatively normal wa-"
*Cursed water "cup"*
Also you need to reinvestigate that grip because it was not normal.
@@theothersamb2320 Considering how Josh used his forks in past video's, this time's a forgivable pass lol
It’s my 2nd favorite cup
Looks great! I like having something like this but just use white rice and mustard. Kinda weird sounding but don’t know it till you try it!
That's also a good way to stretch the recipe into more servings too. Like just add 6 cups cooked rice and now you have like 8-9 servings instead of 5. Might try that today
Love your videos! I never know what to do for meal prep
Made this tonight and it was incredible. 10/10
JUST made this!! came out so good couldn't taste the kale with the ketchup 🙌🏽
Gotta love that cup at the end 😂
I love your water cup!
If u like horseradish it’s a good low-fat alternative to the mayo.
Love burgers with sugar free ketchup and horseradish sauce
Chili lime chicken bowls are bomb. I was so full and I even subbed cauli rice for regular. 🔥🔥🔥

I cook mine with cabbage, mushrooms, and bbq sauce instead of pickles, kale, and ketchup as a southwestern type burger and it is 🤌
I made this the day after it got posted. Turned out amazing for how simple it is. Definitely going into the meal rotation 👍
did this turned out great will be making this alot with prep
also kinda lazy but i found getting frozen potatos and browinging thoes alot easyer then cooking fresh and also makes prep only 15-30 min
Great recipe! Still not using Kale, despite your encouraging efforts, maybe spinach. ;) Thank you!
You hold your fork like a savage. Excellent
Great meal, I will even try this with the Kale even though I'm not a fan of it
Another masterpiece !
Thanks for explaining why certain things happen
These videos are great! What size is the prep container you’re placing the food in?
Looks great, can't wait to make and add to my freezer meals.
Glad to know I’m not the only one who drinks out of anything available in the kitchen😂😂
Your hatred of kale made me chuckle... the struggle is real! 🤣
Made and prepped for this week. 🍔
Making it this week once I'm done with the butter chicken, this looks delicious.
Used ground turkey to cut down on my red meat consumption. It came out great! Thanks for another great recipe Josh!

listen when you said i cannot be bothered to spend more than an hour in the kitchen... i felt that lol
That was awesome 👏🏻
next weeks meal right here
to prevent the potatoes sticking you can just wash them off to remove the surface starch
Niceeeee. These and the Big Mac Bowls are bound to be staples of mine.
Just made tonight delicious
Note to self: Leave Kale at grocery store and increase cheese content 👌
My G holding the fork while eating like Steve from Minecraft would
I actually taught Steve everything he knows
That looks realllly good! Will be making this. Have you tried it with spinach? Just wondering if that would be ok instead of the kale.

I was laughing in anticipation at what sort of negative comments you were going to make about the Kale.
The hell is up with the bowl of water. LMAO!!!!!! man this stuff is so funny!!!!!
Game changer! Good bless your beautiful soul :')
Giving this a try
Its the water bowl at the end lol this man is a legend
Somebody buy this man a cup.
I have this cup though
Using a mixing bowl as a cup for water. My dude is an absolute menace.
This is a cup
I made this last night and it was SUPER YUMMY!! didn't even taste the Kale
this was fire
5:28 when you run out of glasses, but really want some water
Are the meal boxes still safe for eating when stored in the fridge for more than 3 days?
drinking water out of the metal bowl is a level of single bachelor i aspire to be
Looks delicious! Tfs
Your voice kinda sounds like the narrator in that show Bar Rescue…
Also this recipe looks really good, even though I hate kale I think I’ll try it!
you should also rinse your kale after you cut and massage it. Check out America's Test Kitchen's video on kale.
