I put My Jack under the shock mount and lift it up the whole lower mount and I was able to get the bolt out easier. If this helps anybody out and you don't have to take the lower control arm out
@@ValleyMobileAutomotive you definitely can. There's a ring clip on the back locking the hub onto the bearing housing. Remove that and it can be pressed out and changed. I guess not everyone knows this or has the tools to do it¿ But 150-250 for a whole assembly vs 20 for the bearing I figured more people would just swap the bearings themselves.
I know you probably already got it at this point, but for anyone else reading this, you can see the parking brake shoes around the hub that have probably worn a slight groove in the drum part of the rotor (sometimes called the hat). Make sure your parking brake isn't set and you may have to adjust the parking brake shoes a little. I've had the rotor destroy the parking brake shoes before and had to replace it all at times. Hope this will help someone!
Video helped a lot but for people that have a stuck assembly or rotor you'll need these tools and I don't care what anyone else says. You need a heavy hammer or mallet to get rotor off. Hit rotor from backside 500times in the small area you can hit it. Get a new rotor if warped. Then take a monkey wrench and put it on the top of hub assembly and smash it with a sledge. It will come out in 1 or 2 hits. If you don't take my advice, you'll be working 2days or you'll quit
@@ValleyMobileAutomotive you won't and can't damage the CV AXLE because it has play in it anyways. And if the rotor is stuck, its most likely bad. I put old one on and hear a little scraping? It could be a bent rotor from hammer or ebrake shoes because I adjusted
Good tips and tricks. He told you what you needed to know without a bunch of personal reflections. Very good video
Hey thanks David 👍
Great video! This really helped me!
Awesome! I'm glad it came in handy 👍

As im putin my new hub on and sliding it over the spindle it goes on halfway and gets stuck the threads are good still identical from last hub
Try taking a wire brush of sorts and cleaning the splines on the axle. Rust or gunk caj build up there from union of old bearing. Good Luck
Just curious why not just swap the bearings themselves instead of the whole assembly?
Good question. The bearing and hub are an assembly. You can't replace one without replacing both.

Do you have to put grease in new wheel bearing
No, they come already greased and sealed 👍
@@ValleyMobileAutomotive thank you
Hey my wheel hub assembly is frozen and i cant even get the rotor off. Any suggestions

Thanks for the tips 👍. This one practically fell out but some may be seized in.

Or just loosen the drum brakes first. Lol
35 mm or 36 mm ?
This one was a 36mm socket. If your nut has been replaced before it may be a different size.
