- Add a fun new design to your knitting project by knitting diagonally. Use two or more colors to create interesting stripes that add some pizzazz to your knitting. It's a simple method and I will provide very easy step by step instructions. You can then use this fun technique to create your own fun knit project.

Thanks so much 😊. I’m just now knitting a whole baby blanket in this diagonal stripe and instead of doing skinny stripes I’m doing big wide stripes of baby colors. Turning out so pretty.
Can you also do this without the middle section as well ? Im looking to do a square shaped cardigan and was curious about this stitch
Absolutely! By eliminating the middle section you will create a square. So after you complete Section 1 with increases at the start of each row, you will jump right to doing decreases at the start of each row and that will form your square. Great question. Happy knitting!!
