At 19 I accepted Jesus and lord and saviour and was introduced to John and Lisa Bevere but was always weary of their teachings …. Commanding and demanding and affirming was so weird to me because that’s what we did in witchcraft. All humans have rebelled against God and the gospel message is about reconciliation to God and submitting yourself to God. When Jesus tells multitudes to depart from him in Matthew 7, he mentions only those who do the will of his father belong to him. I have been praying and begging God to reveal to me if I have been deceived by following John and Lisa Bevere and today out of no where I came across this video - God is so good to hear my prayer and watch over me 🥹🥹 I love what Jesus says those who love the truth will find the truth - thank you so much for hosting this I love you so much and am so exited to meet you in heaven may God bless this ministry!!!
This video came to my feed at a good time. The women's Bible study at my church is at the end of The Bait of Satan. I had issues with it from page 2 (printing casual conversation in quotes as actual Words of God! What is this--another book of a different John?) However, as a toddler Christian (I was formerly Catholic) I couldn't articulate what was causing me concern. Your video has given me the clarity that I prayed for and confirmation of my reservations about the Beveres and this study. Thank you.

The NAR is a works based movement. I grew up in this kind of church. Because of teachings like yours it finally opened my eyes to it. I struggled so long to accept God's grace and when I finally got it, it was like a huge weight being lifted off me and I finally knew I was accepted by God. Anything I do for Him is out of gratitude and thankfulness...not out of a sense of obligation .
And that is how it should be. Praise God for His work in your life. I pray He will have His way in my heart and life too in Jesus’ Name. Please pray for me. ❤
Oh dear. I am 53 yrs into following Jesus and still struggle to discern a teacher of a "different" gospel.. thank you. It helps to see who a teacher associates with and supports. ,Amish 6:11,12 already coming forth as the Word is challenged with twisting and deceptions.

In Jan 2021 I became a born again believer. I don't mind sharing my experiance bc it's proof of God's grace. I got started by buying and listening to the "cube" Joel Osteen had released. But within a few months I knew there was something missing in his sermons. But God is so good and gifted me with strong discernment and I started looking elsewhere. Finiding reformed theologians was the best thing. Voodie Baucaum, Paul Washer, John McArthur, R.C. Sproul etc. When I shared my story the 1st time in my small group from chruch people couldn't believe I came across these pastors & theologians on my own still as a baby Christian. After the 1st time I went to my small group and having good conversations with the men of the group I learned how amazed they were by my knowledge on biblical things. I can't take any credit though. I just followed what the Holy Spirit was convicting me of. I knew afyer Osteens few months of sermons they were lacking. It was literally the topics over and over again and NOTHING on sin or how our hearts are evil w/o Christ softening it. Everything was sunshine and rainbows and it just had no "meat" I was over the "milk!"
I finally threw away all the John Bevere books i had. I really believed he was legit. Even the last church we attended had a marriage bible study with John and his wife. It was just catch phrases and like all chsrismatic preachers, they fill your head with false promises. Thank God for RUclips and all the sound doctricnal teachers.
So good. Out of curiosity, have either of you spoken out regarding Mark Batterson and the like? I know that when I was in deception, it was his books, and Kim Clement ministries that got me sucked into some of the other stuff, like Bethel. I'm so thankful to be free from all of that 🙏🏻. Just curious if those have been addressed.

And I’ve just ordered an *ESV new Bible (2002 Collins with references down the middle and a concordance because my old one is worn out. As Dave said it’s by people who understood the languages Greek and Hebrew - it *SO good to look up the references - and get deeper into God’s word!! ) Thank you Doreen and Dave for explaining why the Bevere’s teaching is so flawed!! 🕎♥️✝️
I heard John Bevere preach often at New Life Church, when John lived in Colorado Springs. This was Ted Haggard Church and the church rented space to Peter Wagner...What a group of bad theology, all three are/were narcissist. John disguised his bad theology with his high energy. So did Ted, the energy was addictive.
I purchased the Bait of Satan, lost the book, can't find it, dont care,no regrets. I recently just realized how detrimental this book and teaching is. It's terrible!!

Thanks for your clarification on women’s place according to God’s word. (Women with swords minute 40) I live alone and the Lord sustains me. I always remember the difference because Christian (Pilgrims Progress) with his armour and sword and Christiana, and her children and her friend, Mercy. They were accompanied by a protector. I forget his name . All I know is the, Lord Jesus, protects, sustains and loves me and I am sealed with the Holy Spirit. And as you say, a woman cannot preach; teaching men. I went to a church where the pastor’s wife (under his guidance) was able to lead a women’s Bible study and Share Night.
