Very nice...One suggestion: Never ever pour in any hot drink in plastics. Be it tea coffee or soup when served piping hot in cheap plastic cups/jugs may cause some degeneration of the plastics and some chemicals may get dissolved in the hot liquid and can get consumed while drinking the hot drink
Chetna ji your recipes are brief precise and to the point. In the world of today who has time to spend 15 20 mins to watch the certain recipe. Great job, keep it up and keep going.
Hi Chetna, I gave this a go and it turned out well! I like my chai a little more spicy--do you have a recommendation for getting some more heat in it? More cloves?
Here in the states there is an ayurvedic tea to help with colds, that has black pepper in it. The pepper makes it very spicy so if ginger isn't hot enough that's something to try.
I just watched this tonight, and started it on the hob. After putting in all the spices, I noticed no fresh ginger. :( Instead, I popped in some dry ground -- not the same, I understand -- knowing I could strain out some later. Near the end, I also noticed I had no milk -- well after grocers had closed -- so put in 1/3 tsp of butter for 3 full mugs. *omg* This was such a deliciously bastardised mug of chai, but it tasted SO GOOD! I can't wait to try it proper tomorrow when the shops are open. Thank you soooooo much for this!!!
In another video you produced, you used more cloves (3-4), more cardamom (3-4), no mention of the cinnamon and the "small" piece of ginger was bigger. Which is correct?
Aaww, that look so yummy and comforting! Definitely going to give it a try :) Cheta, a little advice, if I may, please dear better not pour the hot chai into a plastic can. The hotted plastic will release harmful substances. Next time better pour the hot chai into a glass, stainless steel, ceramic or porcelain can ❤️
I'm going to have to try it now, i like a cup of tea and been around when family have ordered Chai but not really given it any thought as to what it was. Thank You Chetna.
Hi...I am watching your video for the first time. love your haircut and also the grey hair look. It truly suits you. Thank you for the recipe. Just watching you make it, made me drink my imaginary cup of motivating tea. Also, I liked the way the little one was comfortable during shooting. Tc. Bye
Food with Chetna Thank you. I am able to get that here in the US. I was racking my brain trying to figure out why your name, voice and face were so familiar. Then, pop, Great British Baking Show came to my mind!!! Great RUclips channel!
In my history, any sort of black tea works. Also, if you add star anise (chakra phool) it is even more lovely! I personally avoid very smoky teas with masala chai.
Seems like too much water, not enough milk? I've just been watching a whole lot of Indian street tea vendors and they use a lot of milk & not much water, if any...?
I love masala chai! I am still baffled tough about the plastic jug! Why would anyone put a boiling drink into a plastic jug? Plastic will "melt" / get soft at a high temperature and certain chemicals from the plastic will be released into the tea. Why anyone would be oblivious to this is beyond my comprehension. Be careful dear Chetna, think of you and your children´s health.

Yes more cloves but actually more ginger will give you more heat.
Thanks!!

I had some masala chai for the first time in my friends house today and i just fell in love with it
Can we use powdered ginger? And what kind of lose leaf tea do you use? Regular black tea?

You are very welcome, I love how you made it work without all the ingredients.
Yum, delicious! Today is a stormy day and I was feeling cold. This was just what I needed, thank you!
Hello, Chetna, did you mash up (mortar and pestle) the cardamom first? Thanks!
Thank you it seems so simple 🙏
Hi Chetna, if I want to make masala chai with plant-based milk, what type of milk would be most suitable for that purpose?
That is a tough one but maybe almond milk will be good.
made this today. came out great. many thanks Chtena
Looks great! My family always makes it with half milk, half water for something a little more rich haha. I'm going to try adding ginger next time.
Yes that is a popular way to make the chai too.
Made the chai... delisioso ! Absolutely satisfying ❤❤❤ My new the most favorite channel!
It.s been cold here in LA so this looks perfect, I order it when I'm out all the time, and now I know how to make it. Thank you.

Food with Chetna
Hi, Chetna... I made it right now.Mast recipe hai.Masala chai aur meri rocking chair by the window...waah!! Thank you dear🌷
I find that nothing I do ends up with the final chai having a gingery taste, which I would love. Any tips?
Chetna I love your recepies. I have tried many and my family always asks for seconds.
That makes me so so happy Sweta!
This looks so comforting :) UK Cypriots do something similar by adding cinnamon bark and cloves to a teapot of black tea, then add milk as usual.
Sounds good.
Yummy 😋 just made this❤️
Thanks for this!
you are very welcome

I made some a few weeks ago and just love this tea. I have cut out afternoon coffee and now only drink this tea throughout the day.
In my history, any sort of black tea works. Also, if you add star anise (chakra phool) it is even more lovely! I personally avoid very smoky teas with masala chai.
Yes any strong tea works here.
Lovely

I did not realize it was that simple.
Masala chai is liquid heaven!

Yaamy.. ,😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
Is the tea a regular black tea?
Yes, we use only loose black tea leaves (Darjeeling, Ceylon, Assam, or even English Breakfast) when we make masala chai.
Yes any loose strong black tea will do
💖💖💖
evap milk a must!

Crush the ginger before adding to tea water , you will have better results.
Thanks
We call it karak 🤤
Yesssss
We call it "kark chai" 😆 same exactly 👌
Yes we call it kadak chai meaning strong tea
Dont use white sugar instead get Indian sugarcane jaggery or molasses and use one spoon max it's better and organic natural sweetener and tastier
are those real biscuits like? educate me
Chai Lalo,chai....😂😂😂😂😅😅😅....
Indeed
Siya looks so much younger here :(
Please use Hindi or Urdu name of ingredients
Num (my 2 year old says Num for yum lol)
Haha love it.
Seems like too much water, not enough milk? I've just been watching a whole lot of Indian street tea vendors and they use a lot of milk & not much water, if any...?
garam.masala.chai
Yes delicious warming chai
cute daughter
Good but y r u using plastic jug
Well you dont have to, you can use whatever you like.
I love masala chai! I am still baffled tough about the plastic jug!
Why would anyone put a boiling drink into a plastic jug? Plastic will "melt" / get soft at a high temperature and certain chemicals from the plastic will be released into the tea. Why anyone would be oblivious to this is beyond my comprehension.

obviously her favorite word is ‘obviously’
Oh thanks for noticing.
