    Thank you for explaining this. We do not live in a trauma informed world and the ignorance of others just adds another layer of loss and trauma. Thank you for educating. I'm looking for to thr next video where you include c-PTSD.

    feels like there isnt that distinction between ventral vagal and dorsal divisions. fright and flag fainting seems to be dorsal. the freeze response at the beginning, the first response surely is arrest and startle. we are often taught that social engagement is actually the first phylogenetically response. bit confused by how you frame it

      Yes, there are definitely different theoretical frameworks for understanding trauma responses.

    Using a script will help us viewers follow what you are saying. Try watching Dr.Tracy Marks - the information she gives is concise, clear and devoid of umms and aahs.

    - thank you for sharing. I've not heard of the term FLAG before - is this likened to an 'out-of-body experience?'

    • @kathieovereemphd1705
      @kathieovereemphd1705  2 года назад +1

      Yes- it does include out of body type experiences. To be honest, I think the authors were trying to have each response within the cascade start with the letter F. This does make it easy to remember though. But many would also call this the dissociative stage.
