Thinking about moving to McDonough, GA? Don't move to Mcdonough, Georgia, before you watch this. Here's a few things to think about before you buy a home and relocate.
I absolutely love living in McDonough I live in the rural areas my neighbors have cows, chickens and etc. but I absolutely love it we’re on 2 1/2 acres beautiful❤
I live in Stockbridge, and the traffic is tough at times, but I still love living here. I love the diversity and most people are welcoming and friendly. After living in Coweta Co. for 12 years, I didn't feel at home until I moved to Stockbridge. I'll take the traffic for the warmth and community that I feel here.
I’ve lived all over metro Atlanta & now in Stockbridge. There is worse traffic in other parts of metro Atlanta & McDonough is definitely not the worst. There aren’t many choices for restaurants, but I don’t care about that because I eat real food at home & not processed.
I lived in Stockbridge for 5 years in a huge subdivision. The community was beautiful and neighbors were friendly, but I sold because it was too far from Atlanta for my tastes. I eventually purchased inside the city.
I live in McDonough, and I have that country fill and love it. Anytime you are 10mins from the expressway you will have traffic. Kellytown is beautiful love it.
Traffic is awful in McDonough and Stockbridge and it is getting worse wit the building up and running all the poor dear and wild life out of the woods, i was trying to leave exit 218 and just trying to go I exit up maybe 10 miles it took me 40 minutes just to get to the next exit which was exit 221 should have taken at the most 10 minutes I was late for my dentist app and this was at 10a in the morning and had to reschedule and get back in that traffic again on another day just horrible so I know for a fact u are speaking truth 😊
I was hoping your video was going to tell people not to come here at all. 😂😂😂 I've been here for 24 years, and we desperately need to improve the infrastructure before more homes and apartments are built. I also believe we need to attract business here so people don't have to commute to Atlanta for work. Loved the video. You should also make one to suggest folks avoid Jonesboro Rd. (Exit 221) and Hwy 20/81 (Exit 218) during the Christmas holiday season.
I live in union grove district, 19 years here. mcdonough is awesome, yes do learn all.the back roads! Mcdonough is growing fast! Top schools comsider Union grove Eagles landing Dutchtown Luella
Dutchtown and Lualla have way too many fake wannabe gangsters. Those two schools is where a lot of parents who live here in Clayton county send their bad kids
It's a definite option for this NYC girl. I've been through a few times and I like it. And the traffic reminds me of New York minus the express lanes so it's not so bad. My home would be smaller so hopefully it translate to not so expensive.
McDonough could be a great option for you Ms. NYC! 😊 The traffic here definitely feels more manageable compared to NYC, and you're right-downsizing might help keep costs lower. If you ever need more info or tips about making the move, feel free to ask. Happy to help you with your home search!
McDonough is a growing suburb with so much to offer! ✨ While it's expanding quickly, it still manages to keep a peaceful vibe. If you ever get the chance to visit or move here, I think you'll love it! Let me know if you have any questions about the area!
I lived in McDonough in the mid 1970s. I was 10-13 at the time. It was PARADISE. Just like Mayberry. It breaks my heart how it has changed. There was one traffic light in front of the court house. One small gas station, that also served as the general store and liquor store. TWO Police Officers. A diner. One religion (Southern Baptist Christian) and two churches. ZERO crime! Everyone knew everyone. Folks left their doors unlocked and keys in the car. I lived on a small 5 acre farm, with one horse, 8 cows, 3 pigs, 35 chickens, a small corn field and veg garden. We raised the animals as pets. The only thing we took from the animals was eggs from the chickens. I've lived MANY places in USA in my life. McDonough WAS Paradise. I would avoid it like the plague now. I've been living in Asia the past 20 years. Made the mistake of looking up "McDonough" recently on the internet. Paradise LOST......😢
I found your post confusing. You told people, not to move to McDonough then proceeded to give them every reason why you love McDonough, except for the traffic, which probably because you're always on the road going here and yonder in McDonough. If you hate traffic, move to Eatonton, Albany, Valdosta, or Americus, Ga. You don't need to live anywhere near a metropolitan city. McDonough is the best town in metro Atlanta, considering all things like housing, schools, shopping, crime, and progress. If you hate traffic, compare North Atlanta! Finally, you ended with an appeal for people moving to McDonough to consider you as their realtor. Wow! ... {How soon can I help you pack?}
@@NickvonZ Well… it’s not “Whiteberry”.. that’s what growth is. It’s affordable for whomsoever decides they would and can afford to live there. With that being said.. I hope you took your chickens 🐓 with yah. Have a great rest of your life, ma’am.

I live in McDonough, GA. There is traffic everywhere in Atlanta .
Yup. So true!
Amen
McDonough isn't part of Atlanta, sure a lot of people from the area work here. That's why the traffic is terrible 😊
Moved to McDonough Union Grove area two years ago. Love the balance rural peace and suburban development!

11:38 Hi, I'll be living in the city, talking about health, hospitals, and security, and the churches there, I'm a theologian.
Thanks for the feedback. Welcome!
The music in Two Eggs is way too loud and when asked to lower the sound it was met on deaf ears. I will never attend again. 😮
Coming from Los Angeles , California and Las Vegas ,NV this would be great for me
It's growing and actually keeps getting better. I hear they have plans to work on the traffic! Are you relocating to the area?
Great video, can you do one on Locust Grove?
Thank you. We sure will. Just for you! Make sure to subscribe button so you don't miss it. It will be very soon 😊
Love Locust Grove! Our church is there. The people in Locust Grove are nice.
The express lanes really only benefit those in Locust Grove and south.
Oh my gosh who are you telling!! And then you have to be way back on 75 or 675 to even hop on!! We need to be able to hop on from the Target Exit!
@@PinkSandsGroup …and GSP love clocking southbound right where the express lanes end!

Coming from North Atlanta metro, the McDonough area doesn’t seem as progressive to me.
What part of North ATL Metro are you from. I agree they have some work to do for sure
It is progressive, lol

@franco2b145 Yes, it is SAD how McDonough completely changed from what it was to what it has become.
Yeah, that 2 Eggs do be hitting. They're always packed when I go there...
Yep it does!! You gotta sneak off and go on a weekday
