McDonough and Stockbridge are beautiful areas, I love them both, they're diverse despite having predominantly African American populations they do have good amount of Latin Americans, European Americans and Asian population and demographics changes depending on the neighborhood in both suburbs. They're both affordable, they have great amount of restaurants, entertainment, shopping and attractions. The housing options are diverse from single family homes, townhomes, apartments and condos. There's some crime but this depends on the neighborhood you're in but they're safer than Stone Mountain, College Park, Lithonia and East Point.
I live in Houston but lived in McDonough for 5 months for a project. Atlanta metro has a terrible highway system. You can't dump traffic from 5 lane highways onto 2 lane backroads.
I've been in Henry Co since 05 moved from SC for work its crazy because when I moved here its was one of the fastest growing counties in the US but has grown so much since then, I'm pretty sure Noah's Ark is actually considered locust grove I have a home not to far from there
The title does not match the content. Listening to you made me say, wait... did I read the title wrong. Anywho, we purchased our house in Henry County based on different factors, one being the tax incentives as we grow older. Visually we preferred Gwinnett County though their tax incentives were not as good as Henry County. I have a couple of family members that live in Heron Bay, which we looked at and their taxes scared us away lol. McDonough and Hampton were at the top of our list and we didn't find our house in either "city." Where we are is growing like crazy and so is the traffic. The beauty of an area growing means you have stores, entertainment, schools, etc. closer to you. The not so beauty part of an area growing is the additional people that come with it and the taxes could go up. It is one of those situations of taking the good with the bad. Thanks for the video and sharing all this information.
Heron Bay is so nice, especially the lake but those taxes....Yikes!! Yes just like anywhere else you have to weigh out the good and bad in Henry County. You can still get good value for you money in a home ans not be toooo far from Atlanta. Just ger a Peach Pass 🍑

Misleading titling is is commonly called “click-bating” and, apparently it is very effective as it got you and me both (I’m sure others as well)
Do you have an updated Stockbridge / Henry County video for 2023?
It's literally in the making. Anything in particular that you would like to know about?
