Oh my goodness! I've never seen a bird lay on the back of other birds! Haha! What a little princess! Thanks for the laughs! That was adorable! Delphi is the cutest and quirkiest little bird I've ever seen! My little albino twin parakeets just celebrated their birthday on the 11th!
@@JuliadeWit, that's just too cute and special! And thank you! My dog sensed something with my birds this morning and was sniffing all around their cage when I woke up which gave them a fright, so they're cuddling on my shoulder right now, still sleepy. :)
Because of you I got a friend for my green cheek. He lost his friend two years ago and I was afraid to try a new friend but you gave me hope. I’ve had him for a week and last night they finally groomed one another for a few minutes. I’m hoping that their little spats will diminish and more preening and cuddling will take its place. Love your little flock!
Ohhhhh Happy Hatch 🐣 day Delphi!!! And of course she is Royalty....Delphi couldn’t be in better hands. Maybe soon she might have her own hatchlings. All of your birds are beautiful 🤩❤️🦜
I can see how much work and patience went into this video as well as your bird flock. Such a heartwarming video to see that all the work resulted in such a wonderful experience for all participants of this video. :-)
can't express how deep this video has helped me. this brought back so many memories of my Sky when was a baby. I have terabytes of footage from the whole life of my bird and I'm still trying to get to the point of editing her story. I need to do this. maybe even have inspired me to start YouTubing my next best friend, when the time comes. thank you for your amazing videos, this was a special one for me.
That really means a lot to me, thank you 😇 and it’s absolutely worth it to make a video of it! The first video I made of Delph, I made for myself to be able to look back to it easily, I watch it every now and then and it makes me happy, even for that reason you should make a compilation of your birdies life! Thanks again and the best of luck to you 😊
A suggestion from a green cheek conure owner of 5 years. Remove the bands from their legs. They can get hooked on things and fracture / break / disfigure their feet and toes. Your local avian vet can put a microchip in his/her chest and it's pretty cheap.. like $100. Much safer. Love the video btw. I got my girl "Finn" at 3 months and she is my best friend.
and omg the three of them, absolutely adorable! makes me almost consider getting a second.......... our boy is out any time that we are home, many hours per day so hes super sweet, wonder if his affection or noise level would change with getting another
I was so happy when Delphi came back home to you. Beautiful video!! My Conure is a rescue who was 2 years old when I got him so missed out on the baby time. How old was Delphi when you were feeding him from a tube?
Beautiful video. I hand raised my Crimson Belly conure about the same time. Unfortunately, no video. Really, enjoyed the blended 'family' hope for future videos. Glad you stopped outside flying, I lost a precious bird once (never again).
omg your story reminds me so much of my conures and I's, cept when i went to get him i drove 6 hours i got back home and realized he was either born missing one of his inner rear toes or a nest mate caused him to lose it, but his toe will dislocate sometimes because of the way he walks on it so i need to re set it from time to time, i love him so much, we have been overcoming the foot thing together lol
It made me upset to trust me 😅 and even though they indeed are a flock of fluffy tailed raptors, I love my raptors and I wouldn’t have it any other way 😇
I have 2 green cheek conure who was hatched March 17th,2020 and May 10th,2020. There names are Lemon and Jelly. I did everything with them you do with Delphi they will be 2 in March and May. I had a green cheek conure named Kiwi who would be 2 in April too but he flew away. It will a month on the 7th since he left. I lost myself the day he left, I’m still looking for him and I have hope he’ll come back. This Saturday I am getting two baby green cheek conures not to replace Kiwi but to help with my sadness and to add more to the flock. Delphi is adorable! 😊 I hope she is doing well and has a great 2nd hatch date. I watched this video when you posted it 10 months ago but I’m watching it again. She is the same age as my birdies which made me think they might be siblings especially with Kiwi he is a normal green cheek conure no mutations.
My intention was free flight! But she got too comfortable for my liking outside and it scared me cus she wouldn’t always come to me so I stopped (and for potential predators) but I’m happy I got those clips! And thank you! 😇♥️
I'm so curious to know what actually happened to her wee foot. But I suppose if her owner wanted to share that, she would have put it in the video. Its good she can still balance on it
delphi is so cute i got my green cheek 2 weeks ago she so sweet but i wish her wings can grow back so i can recall train her like i am traing her recall but just hops bec she cant fly yet also is it hard to train conures to say a word
It’s good that you’re already doing recall training with her even though she can’t fly yet! That’ll make it easier when she can fly 😊 so just keep going I’d stay! And they’re not really known for their talking capabilities although some may say a few words but I’ve heard two syllable words are easiest for them
Hi Julia. They bite your toes because that is where your hormones are the most concentrated. My Conure attacks my toes and my hands when I hold black objects. Love the albino Cockatiel. Regards Kevin South Africa.
hey! i know you probably already know this, but the ''head bob'' was actually regurgitation, and regurgitating is not a good thing to encourage! so if anyone else sees this, and owns a bird, make sure not to encourage it :) other than that, adorable video
My baby teil is about 10 months. I don’t know his hatchaday because the person I got him from didn’t even know, she just said he was about 3 4 months. So Is I’ll celebrate his Gacha Day
@@JuliadeWit I know, I just want to know! In fact I have never known any of my birds hatch days. I used to have 2 budgies I saved them from a bad breeder, so he didn’t know or care, and my other cockatiel I got her from a man who was a forighen exchange student and was moving back to his home so he was just trying to get her out. It turns out she was sick
Please I need your help right away, my poor birdie Dutch cockatiel I bought it from an animal store that was abusing her, I found this out after I bought it, When I got close to the cage, she go eat quickly, Also, don't tweet at all, her peddler was Terrorizing her to keep silent if she tweeted, 🥺 I love her from the bottom of my heart, and I want her to break the barrier of fear.
That’s quite something... a bird with a deep fear is difficult.... it needs to get trust in humans again and the only thing that helps with that is time and baby steps. Start by being in the room with her and talk calmly to her and repeat it until she feels okay by you doing it. It might not seem like an exiting thing to do but this is the first step. Every step needs to be repeated until she feels okay by it. So time and patience are your friends. Once she feels more and more okay by you being there, maybe the tweeting will come back. Sami came from an aviary and was scared of humans. I’m still a long way from him being tame eventhough I’ve been working with him for months and months. Baby steps. You can do it! You care very much for your bird I can see that and that’s the most important 😊 you’ll get there! Good luck 😇
Please don’t ever get happy huts or sand perches or rope perched that they shred cause the happy hut and rope perch fuzzies can get stuck in there intestines and they can die

I’m also still amazed by it, and thank you! 😇♥️

The loss of toes made me really upset. Glad she's doing so well.
