I like how he mentioned the 2 hardest ways to get the marine armor but not the easiest way lol. You can get it about 2/3 of the way through the far harbor campaign

@@MichaelBricardo And even then, it's not a complete set, I think the Recon Armor only encompasses the arms, chest and helmet, no legs.

@@Russianbanjo I think the armour was supposed to look, light, limited investment in both research and material, be as effective for the cost, used by Synths (aka robot people that can replace limbs), and generally designed by scientists.

I looked at the stats and I think the mechanist armor is better than the marine, it's offers better protection all around (except head and body) as well as ways a lot less

Plus using deep pockets also negates how heavy it is to a degree u trade it in for that great damage protection

There so many Power Armor in the Game now ..half of sanctuary is wearing it. :D t-51 with sugarbomb skin looks best and you now how important a good cereal breakfast is to survive the Wasteland.

Regarding the marine armour, you can also get a full set for free if you complete all 5 dima memories, and it’s better than the versions you loot off of zealots.
Don't forget a ballistic weave mk5 courser uniform with a snazzy fedora that also has ballistic weave mk5
i personally use Military Fatigues with ballistic weave because you can still wear other armor pieces with it so you can just wear the best legendary effects because you have more than enough defense with the fatigues

Just put a ballistic weave under your marine armor.
Instructions unclear: I have a mismatched set of armor that all gives me stat bonuses.
The Marine has a 3rd way of obtaining and that swimming down to the lost cargo stuff and getting it there, which won't be an issue if you have the Aqualad or Aquagal perk or the diving suit
It’s also significantly better than the other ones
it will only spawn if you actually go through DiMA's memories
the marine armor kind of gives off that riot/ncr ranger outfit vibe, that’s what I like about it
The marine armor can be found doing a misc quest on far harbor. Not sure how you get the misc quest but i got a quest to find the armor on one of my saves.
You get it by accessing dima’s memories in the Nuclues submarine
@jeanyboy808 Yeah, you have to do the extra levels of the mini game in order to unlock the quest
I personally think the mechanist armor is a solid choice too
The helmet is amazing, the rest is okay
It's a bit noisy when walking around, but the stats are fine. I usually end up wearing it mid game. Often I wear that Silver Shroud stuff as well. I'm just not a big time meta player.

Sturdy Combat Armor is a good choice for ballistic protection alone
I really wish the marine armor had better designed shoulder guards. That’s like my one gripe with the marine armor set, the fact that ur actual shoulders are completely exposed cuz the shoulder guard stops AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SHOULDER.

I've always loved the Assault Marine set. You can get it by swimming out to a boat by Far Harbor, where you can find the wetsuit and the armor set itself.
It's my go-to set. The defenses are great and the suit looks badass.
I've never played the dlc where do you find this???

@@escalanteteam7498 I don't remember the exact location (it's been like five years since I last played), but when you head out to Far Harbor, look out on the water as much as you can. If you see a boat anywhere out there, swim out and try to loot it. You should be able to find it.
There's also some quest somewhere that should lead you to it, but I'm not too sure.

Ballistic Weave is the GOAT armor. You can even stack it with other armor if you put it on certain clothing that allows multiple pieces + top armor. Its possible to make armor sets stronger than power armor this way.
Bro forgetting about the x-01
First off, check if the armor is a (normal)(sturdy) or (heavy) variant because it drastically changes damage resistance and the look (wich does nothing) remove "misc" mods to see it, unaffected armor are: marine armor and some variants of the "raider pack armors"
Edit: got a full heavy combat, metal, leather, synth and raider sets still need the "raider pack armors" robot armor, and trapper, marine is 3/6 legendary parts wich is the left/right arm and the helmet
I think the only armor of that type that was mentioned was synth armor, I don't think the other armor sets have different variants.

@@LuciferMoringstar999 You mean like the nanofiber stuff? I don't think they meant that, i think that they meant that there's 3 different types of synth armor with differing weight and base defense, without modifications, and even with a different look.

Power armour finds are set at level intervals.😂
Go to all spots before hitting said level you will find more T45 then level more all T51, then again at the next level height you will get T60, then X01

I found that last armor set underwater in a chess couldn’t tell ya where but it was within the dlc map and if I remember correctly it was upgraded
I prefer maxon’s battlecoat and downloading a universal ballistic weave mod 🤣
advanced armorsmithing for the win! for me nothing beats having a full compliment of armor on top a ballistic weaved vault suit!
If you do all the dima memories one of them give coordinates to a full set of marine armor

There’s a quest for the marine armor, it’s a untouched one and stronger than the ones you can find

The marine armor isnt just able to be bought or been looted off bodies, Dimas memory tells you where to look for a free set.
The Disciples metal armor is actually the most protective non power armor in the entire game but pays for that protection by being really heavy.
Just wanna remind yall canonically a fusion core can power a t60 for a very very long time
I can see why the Marines adopted the Advanced Riot gear for their troops over that marine armor, that looks heavy af!

Sir, all of the power armor suits drain fusion cores at the same rate. But T-60 is still a good set of power armor to get and is super easy to get as the game gives you a full set right after you join the brotherhood of steel

There's also the doom marine armor, it is exclusive to the creation club, but given that 3 of the armor mentioned are dlc exclusive it's valid. You get it right at the start and it has amazing defense stats for a 2 piece set and has one of the best defense to weigh ratios in the game, with a total weight of 23 between chest piece and helmet but when max level has 168 damage resistance, 150 energy resist, and 115 rad resistance.
Or just download the weave mod and make any piece of armor or clothing 150+++ defence on everything 😂

The marine armour is actually easy to acquire following the middle points of far harbors quests… even better when fully modified with the armourer perks … great piece of equipment to have in your arsenal
The way i got the Marine armor is through going to certain locations and dive to those sunken ships

Don’t forget to pair all of those with ballistic weave for the most protection.
You can get locations of marine armor after finishing Dimas memories too.
Used the marine armor for a melee children of atom build using atom's judgement for my primary weapon

For extra cheese, use something like Army or Military Fatigues with the ballistic weave on it with the Marine armor. I got it giving me over 200 ballistic and energy defense that way with the proper marine coating
Marine armour and a ballistic weave under layer is by far the best armour in the game besides high-level power armour. It literally makes you a walking tank.

I started using the new Nuka Cola shirt w/ ballistic weave because it only takes up the legs in terms of armor, and then I put the legendary marine arms and torso on, and then a hat that also had ballistic weave. Then, it has the legendary slow time @ 20% health, increased movement, and has ~300 something DR for both kinds of resistance besides gamma
Children of atom armor is GOAT
Disciples metal and spiked are the best armor outside of power armor when improved at a workbench, the best power armor is easily X-01; though depending on how you played the game you might end up softlocking yourself out of being able to obtain it if you don't have Nuka-World. My preferred way of getting it though is waiting till I'm level 50 and clearing 32 court, it's a cool little hidden dungeon with a semi difficult bossfight
I always go with a mix of combat and leather armor with a marine underarmor underneath.
Marine armor looks the coolest
After you get the upgraded marine armor, you forget to use the power armor. Thats how good it is.

Shadow combat armor with synth helmet is the WAY!
Overboss would be a more solid PA option.
+ Can be acquired early
+ Extremely powerful (On-par with a non-leveled X-01)
+ Really cheap to maintain (Fixing each piece only costs 3 steel)
If you have all the DLCs, you can rush to get both this PA + Atom's Judgement to make an invincible melee build. This build can also be further upgraded by investing some points in the "Nuclear Physicist" perk.
I found the enclave armor and haven’t looked back…. Yet. It’s made the game quite easy
I could not, would not make myself wear the Marine armor in Far Harbor. It's horrendous. I'd rather put perk points into things that compensate for what the armor does.

If someone go for creation club items, the DOOM marine armor is a curious case. It start in your inventory (a big miss because of its protection) and fully upgraded it's total damage protection is even better that the disiples heavy/spiked armor (the radiation dmage resistance helps a lot) but because you can't wear any underwear it gets totally outdate after obtain ballistic weave.
I also think a great armor is the heavy combat armor, it's super easy to find but still can keep you safe from a lot of things
I love the Marine armor
Ballistic weave mk5 baseball uniform with a full set of heavy synth armor is the best in the game and can be manufactured at your settlements. If you need more protection, use power armor
I have vats enhanced combat armor limbs + helmet (except one of the leg pieces is synth armor) and increased AP refresh speed combat armor chest piece. Looks pretty good with marine wetsuit.
Ive nonstop used the mechanist armor with the metal helmet and sword addons cause the mechanists armor has 70 and the energy resistance is around 30 or 40 and the helmet is 40 defense and 25 or 30 energy too just makes it feel like i have insane vitality when genuinely have nothing put into it all charisma endurance and luck with a lil perception
So the toilet armor is indeed included

I wear MK5 military fatigues with the Marine armor and just use power armor when feeling frisky. All my caravans and settlement guards are decked in heavy combat armor with bright light mining helmets and sunglasses.
Don’t forget the X02 Power armor
don't forget to get the under Armor upgrade (do have to do some of the RR quests till you unlock it, for underarmor & Head) Balistic Weave with it it upgrade almost any armor set big boost

The marine armor is great, but it is heavy.
