This r/place thing is seriously such a cool thing, it can show how the internet culture is developing and it can give some amazing and fun moments like this, watching this live was so intense, great video
The best part is how different it is every year. Compare the 2022 r/place to the 2017 r/place

@@brtd8782 The French flag disappeared so quickly because there was an ongoing battle about the pixels. And once the french could not repair the new pixels it was over quickly. If they used bots or not is irrelevant. Also after their flag got destroyed some French streamers with 400k+ viewers targeted the osu! logo to destroy it and write the letters France or something. And again 400k+ placing pixels you cant repair makes 9000 pixel logo disappear quickly. And against the bot accusations: other osu! artworks turned white at similiar pace as the rest of canvas.

Even the most heated, france, who was attacked by their rivals came up to the voice chat of their rivals regardless and made up..... (spain streamers and the Americans, which is xqcl, hasan, and mizkif, etc. Vs french community).... That moment was a cool thing to witness

I'M confused as to why ppl hate osu so much? Like what's the reason? I'm genuinely curious, I was there defending the OSU logo while it was being raided and such. It was pretty cool how everyone came together to fix the logo. There were a heck ton of people in the discord call working together to try and fix it. I've been playing osu for about a year and I still have no clue why people hate us so much. We just play rhythm games lmao
I don't think they really hate osu, it's just that it's funny to say so, cause anime and "weebs" have too much meme potential, it's like when xQc says he hates anime and weebs but he's one of the biggest closet weebs out there

The best way to think about r/place is like a massive sandcastle that everyone can contribute to and each community as a person
Then there's these types of streamers who basically just kick the sandcastle for no reason when some of these people cannot defend or aren't able to remake their original part of the sandcastle
i was there, watching all of this unfold, watched 3 streams at the same time (mizkif, btmc, xqc)all of this happening for 3 hours and 30 mins, but the osu thing happened for about an hour 30-40 mins?,we protected hololive,they attacked us, i THINK rainbow road helped us actually and we literally got nuked 7 times, i counted and on april 1 we got nuked 4 times, btmc and xqc joining the vc and talking was pretty funny, they took dean down but we got it back, so they stopped attacking us, it was literally history, probably one of the best days i had,(and the osu community, we never botted, btmc had 850 people to be exact in the vc to place down there overlay for the pixels and then the rest of the stream placed down the pixels so it was REALLY coornidated)
