Hey why is this is the shorts channel??
French are now ANGRY(even more)
Pog
God thanks, I thought I was getting an reality check
@@Lamboredofit the shorts channel is the same as the regular videos
I loved every second of participating in this event.
I was one of the guys working on “nanachi”, the blue colored rabbit figure in the Ukraine flag. It originally had its own little square, but was taken over by some other guys. We fortunately came to an agreement with the guys making the Ukraine flag, a space for our little bunny, in exchange for maintenance of their flag.
I loved this event too although i only participated in half of it
I was one of the brave defenders of the welsh flag defending against the polish who were trying to expand their own flag there were more poles than us so they won eventually

"We're fragile as fuck, but for some reason you still can't take us out" 💀💀
I was part of the Canadian group. We had a few people who jumped the gun and kept trying to expand the area we had, some were just trolling by trying to add weed leaf, and the banana lords invasion. The rest of us were just trying to rebuild constantly.
We had the flag perfect five times. Then the trolls would arrive
@@jordanandrew6382 we also had bots destroying the flag :(
Man You guys sucked, We germans completed it in a couple minutes, meanwhile you took the entire event.
The tales of the story recount that, sadly, you've forgot how to draw the leaf of your own flag, what a sad war againts yourself!!
@@Anto-kb5ck you have a fair point I guess.
Being there for the end was wild. No one knew what was happening at first, and by the time the realization set in, you start watching everything slowly disappear into a white void.
Glad to have participated on the behalf of the minecraft redstone community, granted I don't know how to build a hopper clock but it was nice knowing that my 1 pixel helped.
It was a pixel nonetheless. You contributed and that's that. That's what matters.

One of my favorite things were Germany's reawakenings every morning in German time, visible through the clean colors traveling from left to right. They were literally called for internally with the words: "The hearts have to go, they haven't been approved" and if that isn't German, I don't know what is
I remember fighting for the Hermitcraft community. One of the coolest things I think we did was make a nether portal that the game stop stocks went through to avoid plowing through what we had made
and then we almost got destroyed by brazil just before the 1st expansion
Yo I’m late but where was the hermitcraft stuff on the overall map?
as a spanish person I love that moment when the canvas expanded where we tried desperately to make another flag but everyone was like "No fuck off" and immediately when the timezone hit and most of us went to sleep it got immediately obliterated
To this day I'm still pissed I didn't find out about r place on time to join so many nice communities that made such a good pixel art
I felt that for the first one and then the second came. one day the third will come
@@greatestyoutuber yes I'm hoping plus now that I'm learning pixel art I'll be hopefully prepared someday

Honestly, the osu community was a great antagonist to XQC, from a video a saw on them, they were basically making alliances with everyone, except the people who would destroy art, they were truly one of the few that were truly dedicated to making this a better experience for everyone, not just themselves.
botters
@@somo4227 false
@@somo4227 incredibly false, for osu, apparently, this things is the most important thing for them, (besides their game) so about 80& of their playerbase will be with them on this, along with the countless amount of allies they made along the way
We defended the Turkish Flag, one of 3 resisters of the purple void, we wrote ENOUGH on the final expansion, we fought with the Netherlands, we put a lemon and the purple elephant. We made the peace sign and the man under it, and we made the hand inside the demon at the end.
We, Turkish played a big role in 2022 r/place
I hope r/place returns one day. I would say it would be cool to be here forever, but I feel like that the small amount of time we have with R/Place made it special. A small amount of time with chaos. Although it’s stupid, it’s also kind of a beautiful representation of the chaos of the internet.
It is back!!!!!
@@kaydengames3341Although sadly just to draw attention away from the protests
The new r/place sucks, there isn't nearly as much of cool art and communities as last year's and it's mostly filled with boring flags.
@@Carnifier Check it out now though
I just like how each community has their own story to tell. From the oneshot community we had the battle of the roomba light where it kept getting turned off and on, Niko admiring the void allowing them to be spared from it and finally the Polish destroying the sun which immediately led to the end of r/place
"Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?"
"No."
"I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis... was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians... to create... life. He had such a knowledge of the dark side, he could even keep the ones he cared about... from dying."
"He could actually... save people from death?"
"The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities... some consider to be unnatural."
"Wh- What happened to him?"
"He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was... losing his power. Which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. It's ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself."
"Is it possible to learn this power?"
"Not from a Jedi."

Why
@@NguyenzanderDuck you that’s why
Because
As a french, I am more than proud of what we achieved
r/place is the internet
It perfectly represents everything online
Can't wait for next r/place where people have to figure out how the heck Vista's taskbar is gonna work considering it's transparent
Awesome!!!! video!!!!!!
Pls revive the Kirby animations
😔
turkey destroying xqcs void with a lemon was amazing to watch
i still remember helping turn the N in “Genshin Impact” logo into a T as “Genshit Impact”
R/place 2022 was suuuuper fun for me. I was participating to make builds for a lot of my favourite content creators like Big Moist, Rubber Ross, etc, and at the end of it all it just felt really cool to be a part of that last big finish
Fun fact: after the genshrek the genshin subreddit relocated with the chinese title for anonymity and it managed to get to the end without major griefing afterwards.
I dont know why but the hand that said "Don't" over it slowly expanding before it consumes the entire canvas was an oddly poetic way for r/place to end.
We literally have no idea who created the hand whether it was admins, hackers, just random people, or something else, it was still really cool to see.
Late reply but it was the idea of turkish youtuber Porçay (r/burdurland) and with the help of Elraenn they made the hand and "DONT" sign just before the end.
Glad I was part of this. I was part of the celeste community and it was just so much fun. Going to different subreddits to talk with the neighbours and getting allies and making pacts
We ended up being strong allies with the Dutch and Omori. It was just great fun!
I was a part of the OMORI group, both sections, primarily the one in the bottom right. I formulated the designs and templates for most of the pieces. Still can't believe it but this couldn't have been done without the rest of our community.
That event was great, I worked on the American Flag, especially near the end when we started adding designs like the eagle and the bridge
Yeah, it was beautiful
I was part of the Undertale/Deltarune part of it, thankfully we were next to OSU!, so we had an Alliance to keep our lil guys safe. (Germany taking Asriel's body not withstanding)
We also kept trying to make the One Piece jolly roger (and any other skull) have the Sans Undertale eye flame.
as someone who was involved in the hermit heads its always so cool seeing people make videos on r/place and knowing that in the back you can see me placing pixels to fix a bunch of minecrafters heads
As a member of the Sonic community and the French community, this was super fun! I remember how epic the las day was, and thanks to our general, Kameto, and pretty much all big French streamers collaborating together like we often do, we made really quick progress just by being very well coordinated and with having nothing better to do lmao
A salute for our best leader, Kameto
Sadly I wasn't part of any of it but at 10:22 and 10:34 it caught me completely off guard to see Sunny disappear from the Omori section in the bottom right
How did I not notice that’s a really cool detail
Imagine if they did a r/place starting on Jan 1st ending on Dec 31st aka for a whole year
I love the Roger picture saying “He Laughed” it looked so good and I’m glad to see it was not getting destroyed until the end
can’t wait to see the story of 2023’s place
I love how Germany went about this, because of how coordinated they were. You could try to attack and destroy all you want, as soon as the germans are awake, they will defend and rebuild. They have a map with coordinates and only allow what was approved on the german flag. But they were also willing to be peaceful as long as it was talked about with them.
the fact that silksong/hornet lasted up to the end makes me happy
I still have the medal of "I cleaned Messi butt in r/place" that the Argentina group made for us (Portugal group).
The collabs were beautiful.
Other collab I helped with was the trio of writers in Portugal, Italy and Spain
Challange me: Drink a shot for every impostor you see in this video.
You don't need all video. Only in the Portuguese sea there are 23 impostors hidden
Loved the video! Great job on it and the explanation was great :D
glad to be a part of the osu! logo and the komi, it was one of the best experiences ive had online
was part of the technoblade community taking part and he included pictures of r/place in his last video. i miss technoblade and im so glad i was able to take part in this event
I remember r/place, I remember clicking on Ludwig's stream and watching the artful chaos unfold, for I could not participate in most of it since someone else was using the home computer and I was not logged into reddit on the device I was watching the stream on. However, it was all still beautiful watching it all play out before me. I participated in the event when I could, and still have many screenshots saved of amazing artwork, and one screenshot that I took mere moments after the event had ended and you could only place white. I have screenshots of the last few pixels I placed, saving each as if they were the final one, but I kept going back for more. 'Twas a wonderful time, I loved every second of it!
i could seriously watch a timelapse of r/place for hours just watching each area develop
The funny thing is is that the bots on Canada were actually trying to fix the flag, but the algorithm couldn’t calculate the pixels correctly so it just kept getting distorted
Was happy to take part in this for the "Read Another Web Serial" thing and r/PGTE.
Fuck Worm, Read Another Web Serial!
This whole thing was so much fun, I really hope they do it again sometime.
I think you forgot the most epic thing of all time. Me and a group of 1000 other people managed to create a fully functioning rickroll qr code and THE ACTUAL Rick Astley HIMSELF replied on one of our post. Yes, we managed to rickroll a lot of people that time
I was a silksong defender and it’s was genuinely terrifying being placed directly next to where all the crazy shit was happening 😭
I wish I could've been there to fight for the cause, I salute to the soldiers for our community
Bro, recreating that Kirby with Ludwig was so difficult. We had power, but there were many communities much stronger. But as you said, eventually lots the good art stood the test of time.
1:40 I know this was supposed to be talking about the chess board, but my eyes instantly went to “ *P* O R N”
2:50 try focusing on that roblox character next to france
As a fan of hollow knight, I appreciate people didn’t destroy the silk song art. It was the only thing we have left😭😭😭
There was even radiance art to the top right of the France flag at the end
Do not underestimate The power of contact deprived fans
I remember the end of r/place i was sitting in vc with my friends in the r/mcc alliance we were just sitting back watching the canvas slowly turn white as we listened to music and chilled, good times
When the hand reaches up as a sign of death and the end was epic
bro this is like a full on documentary holy !!
Meanwhile the terraria community making a giant moon lord pixel art that stayed up for the rest of the event after it was build barely ever getting hit that hard by griefers:
The “let that sink in” got me rolling on the floor
I love How belgium just got ingored and no one tried to change it
I love how Jack manifold change the colours of the eyes on the void Demon thing, and then when it became massive, all the other eyes were multicoloured. I’m not sure if it has to do with him but probably does.
It was the homestuck community! They tried to pqke the void resemble their fav (w/ the eyes and the horns)
See that Luigi behind Mario on Rainbow ride at 13:31 the one above Sonic and Tails, fun fact: I suggested that heheh.
And also, I think Australia has the smallest flag on the canvas
I love how Gol.D.Roger survived the entire thing
Wow, this was over a year ago! I remember going to school and logging on to Reddit at 8am when the event started, just to place my pixels lol. It was fun to represent some of the communities I was a part of
The war France Vs Spain is literally the greatest war of this millennia
This was definitely a fun time, I served as the ambassador for r/Lost.
I LOVED being a part of place. It was such an incredible experience, and one that I wouldn't trade for any other
Now u can again
Saying r/place as “place” is like saying Darude Sandstorm as “Sandstorm”
Gotta be one of the best Jonny razer videos
I was part of a Roleplay server at the time and we fought with our 8 active people to get our logo on there by the end. We fought against the TrashTaste podcast (they won) and against the country of Lybia, but by the very end our logo made it.
I like how the void is still here but it’s used more for a force of good this time, giving room for a bunch of smaller communities to thrive.
My community (neopets) placed 3 different pixel art. A yellow kacheek telling you to feed your pets, a faerie aisha and a slorgs (those slugs next to the pink among us at 1:29)
I was working on the teos game square and it basically got to the middle of the map because when it started we went to the bottom right before the exansions
My favourite art piece was the bad apple animation which played for a lot of the new r/place
You should also talk about r/place 2023. It is insane and the ending is amazing
Yes a fellow BIG SHOT. (For context he played the song called big shot which plays when you fight Spamton)
Being apart of this was the best thing ever
I was excited to watch this, but the moment I saw it was from Jonny, I was like- YES
"Joy is not Found at the End,
It is Found during the *JOURNEY"*
If r/place ever comes back, I will be there to record history
r/place is the biggest experiment and for a reason the war tragedy everything turning into among us it was truly incredible
had a ton of fun making the Outer Wilds badge from day one on place, we animated the logo over the course of it so that watching through the full timeline of r/place it showed you the game's timeloop haha
I grieved over the evisceration of a baby Yoda art I was working by the Tragedy of Darth P and knew right then that I was not fit being a father.
I love that silk song survived
I have a trophy on my Reddit account for still having a pixel placed when /r/place 2022 ended. I'm honored to be part of Reddit history with my single white pixel, which was part of the small conflict over how the eye should look like on the Bad Dragon logo (if you don't know what that is... uh, don't Google it).
the french werent the vilain , the other ones were just jealous
r/place 3 : french vs void : sign of war
I remember drawing jetstream sam, such fun times
0:14 , king gizzzard finished their thing
It's funny how r/place is different depending on the point of view
You mentionned france like a small event inside a pool of events, but in france we pratically only heard about the france battle. There is just so much small events, that are as interresting as the big ones, the r/place will never run out of content
The fact that even smaller countries, like Lebanon, were there. Thar was absolutely awesome!
No mention of how everyone was bullying the bronies the entire time, and the bronies STILL stayed on the site.
Three voids Total i think, pure void(kept continuing back), purple void(shoots around) and the white void
I got so excited watching this that I got a bloody nose while sitting on the toilet
I was with the LEGO community, and I was the one who added the crack in Bennys Helmet.
r/ place is like giving a class of five y/o free range over a mural
The end is like flashbang.
A lot of the art was great but my favorite was the panel of Roger laughing.
i was part of the pxls space logo, we had our own set of fun moments including being fookin DEMOLISHED by XqC, allying with osu, and being helped by Btmc somehow... i still cant quite process all of it. i swear half of the event didnt even happen 💀 was fun though.
if anything the biggest difference between last r/place and this one is *everyone is fucking horny for-* some reason
“spanning several countries from Sweden to Denmark”
they are like right next to each other on a map 💀😭
My favorite pieces were the two hootys one being more complete then the other
