Option 2 for sure !! Iron seems very uncomfortable to me, option 3 is beautiful but maybe too boho? I think with your house, the kitchen and the backyard, option Teak is the one ! 😊
Option 2 screams “MaCenna!!!”. And it looks so inviting and comfy.
Option 2! It seems so warm, cozy, and durable. Easy maintenance also. Loved your day with Cade❤❤❤❤
Hi Macenna! Quick tip on your patio furniture from a mom of two boys; as Cade grows and becomes more active, he will bump his head into stuff, no matter how careful you guys are, it may be better that he bumps into wicker than iron.
Love your content and your family!!❤❤
you're so right!!!! I've definitely had to start thinking about decor differently with a baby now
@SouthmeetsNorth_art_etc you will also like the loveseat as you will have children climbing up to sit next to you or lie down on you.....either teak or wicker.....I can only imagine the family pictures staged from this patio in the future...
I like option 2 I think it vibes better with your house and back garden , love seeing you and Cade together !😁❤️🇬🇧
Aww, there nothing sweeter than hearing a baby start to "talk", just love it!❤❤❤
I love option 2. I think it really goes with the design of your home and especially the new kitchen. Can't wait to see what you decide.
Option 2 is such a vibe and it really ties in that French kitchen and the wood table as well as the pool and back yard! Love you guys so much!
Option 2 is my favorite. Maybe in the corner outside the doors you can put a group of pots with different herbs that you can walk out and pick when you’re cooking.
I love options 2. It goes with the dining table vibes as well and the back patio.
All beautiful but option two for sure! I really like to teak two-seater rather than two individual lounge chairs which you have quite a few of throughout the property. It could be nice to change it up for the two-seater and this seems like the perfect location to do that. Feels very homey and cozy.
I agree! Day bed vibes would be gorgeous here and fit how you’re expecting to use the space.
Option 2 with the bench is really pretty
Cade couldn't be more beautiful if you tried! He is such a happy baby! What a blessing 💜
aww thank you so much!
Option 2!!! The Teak really encompasses the rest of the design of the house beautifully, and it has the shapes of the iron but with the warmth of the wicker. 💜🥰
Love option 2! maybe incorporate some wicker planters for the wicker element you want. Also have you considered a climbing hydrangea, so easy to grow, self supporting and beautful white blooms and dark green foliage...its such a lovely plant and would look stunning on a patio wall. I know whatever you choose it will be amazing xx
I love the idea of the teak loveseat, more room for pillows and big enough to bring your feet up and get cozy
I love option 2 ❤️The natural colour of teak could also help in the decision on what colour to do the deck.
Option one for style and looks. Option 2 for relaxing chill vibes:)
Love your interaction with Cade, that's the best! Hard to choose which patio style, all are great options. But I think #2 is keeping with what you already have. I'm sure whichever you choose it will look fantastic!
Maybe stain the deck boards the same or similar color to your cabinets so it ties in! I also like the idea for wicker since that could also be a tie in with your dining room chairs ☺️
stunning!!!!!
Cabot’s solid color acrylic stain + sealer or deck corrector? Many colors and it lasts!
OMG! To funny, when you told Alexa to play that song she also played it at my house! 😂
Yes, I had you on my television, it put my Alexa into action total chaos!!!
hahahah im so sorry ... but also not sorry i hope you had a dance party with us :)
That babies sweet smile at his mommas face is what life is all about. ❤❤❤
I love how Cade engages with you!. He is kicking his legs as you talk, dance, and smile at him! He is adorable!
Option 3.... it's traditional, cosy, comfortable and natural. I think it will feel more 'rose cottage garden'. I also agree with previous comment about young children bumping into wrought iron. X
Option #2 feels the most cohesive and Macenna-esque!
Spending time with Cade was most valuable. 🧿
option 3 looks so comfortable and beautiful!
i love all the options but i think a mix of option 1 & 2 would be beautiful!!
Option 2! In the bottom image there is a terra cotta planter with a wicker basket planter...I like that it brings in your brick color over into that space. Also, consider adding star jasmine as your climbing plant (it smells AMAZING) - might need to figure out a trellis element. Another idea - could you add a water feature (wall element?). That is a beautiful and peaceful sound. Have fun -- you will do an AMAZING and creative job whichever way you go! Cade is precious and such a happy baby. He's lucky to get you as his mama!
Option 2! It goes best with your style inside the house and the backyard.
I so much enjoyed your video. Cade is growing up so fast. I think he has Romeo’s eyes. I think you are a great Mom. There is so much love in your voice when you interact with your son.
Option 2 - it really blends with your kitchen well and would make for a nice transition. It also would match well with the furniture around the pool. If you had all the doors open for a party, it would be one cohesive space with 3 areas, and I think that's what you are really looking forward to!
You would enjoy dining on the patio, reading and looking out at the garden you love. Rocking chairs a great idea
I love all the cooing from Cade 🥰 so precious!
Cade is allready a movie star ! So happy for you for!❤️🙏😊
Option 2 seems like the best fit for the overall vibe of your house.
I just love watching your videos. I too have your pans. In fact I have many in both of my homes. I love them… You are such a chilled Mom. That’s why Cade is such a chilled baby. He is soooo cute!!! Whatever you decide on patio furniture will be awesome. You have excellent taste and think things through. 🤞 good luck.
that teak bench with the comfy cushion looks like where i'd want to curl up and read a book, you could also add a lot of iron ligthing elements like lanterns
Because I absolutely adore wisteria, I'd build a trellis or pergola over the deck depending on how much overhead cover wanted and train a wisteria or maybe a flowering jasmine
Thank you so much for the much needed distraction. After not having electric or water for the past week since the hurricane, nothing but destruction and chaos in the aftermath is on our minds. Electric won’t be on for another few weeks but we are surviving with what we can. Thank you for your videos!!
We are all praying for all of you effected by the hurricane 💕🙏
OMG! I. So sorry you’re going through this. I can’t imagine a few more weeks. We lost power for 3 days and I was miserable. Life stopped. I wish you well.
@@lisaaamoun3520 Walmart is up and running, so is gas, thankfully no flooding, nearly every house has a tree toppled over or power lines destroyed or both. It is difficult to get a hold of a generator. Lord knows how many families struggling day in and day out for bare necessities. If you know someone or have family in the affected area, they really need your help. Both in supplies and/or prayers.
Sweetheart I promise I will pray for you! We survived Katrina and it was unbelievable. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Even though it doesn’t feel like it right now, you WILL get through it! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@heidil.4651 thank you!
Well, Thursday just got a whole lot better! Thanks, MaCenna🥰🥰🥰
Put your flour in the freezer to keep it fresh. Have you thought of an outdoor rug to cover the patio? Color for the rug should blend in with the house and yard with a pop of color.
At least for 72 hrs to prevent any bug eggs from hatching (ew don't ask me how I know this)
Ooh gosh! 😭I miss those infant days😭😭😭😭those are precious moment’s. Enjoy❤
I love option 2 for your home!! And ivy that eventually covers all the stucco on the house in the patio area. I think a grouping of different sized pots filled with herbs to use in cooking would be perfect for the corner across from the kitchen door.
MacCenna the teak look for the porch would be gorgeous. Keep it cozy and comfortable. I would definitely add climbing roses and greenery to the space.
Love all the options for your patio but my faves are either the teak or the wicker as they are soft and mirror the backyard too 😊 LOVED this video! Cade is just Romeo’s mini-me ❤
Definitely option 2 ! I love the idea of a loveseat!!!
All looks great! How about a sectional for outdoor seating? Bring in a wrought iron coffee table and or wicker? Iron candle holders?
Option 2 for sure! It just looks like “you” and would flow very nicely with the house 😊
that little smile is the best!! What a light!!
Definitely option 2 or 3, but option 2. The creamy colours compliment your exterior paint colours so well. And I agree, some climbing plants would bring the greenery closer to you and liven up the desk.
You can really tell Cade is Romeo's baby 😍
I think option #2 fits with the theme of the backyard. You are often emphasizing the cohesiveness of your house. Option #2 satisfies that desire. The bench seating feels more cozy for a morning cup of coffee; of course an oversized chair would be great, too. Something about the pictures you chose in option #2 remind me of your dining table. It is a nice segue from the kitchen to the patio.
I love all three options! Interestingly, we are in the middle of a large patio cover build and all three of your ideas are exactly what I have been thinking of. I decided to go with an iron sofa and two side chairs for my main comfy seating, a wood dining table with black chairs and then I picked up 4 stacking wicker chairs for extra seating that can be moved around where needed. I'd love to place two of those beautiful wicker dining chairs on each end of the table to tie in the wicker, wood and iron. And lots of plants - I'm a crazy plant lady! Can't wait to see what you come up with for your space!
I love the idea of tying the front to the back and the teak would do that. But also like the idea of a slightly more formal - not hardcore formal, but just a little less "poolside casual" - for the front of the house. I think the black iron would accomplish that nicely.
BUT...I think the teak could do the same by picking a little more formal style with some detailing like the loveseats you were looking at. And things don't have to be matchy-matchy. Teak benches or loveseats and chairs with black iron tables could look very pretty and give the touch of eclecticism you like and lighten the look versus all of either one. You could even add a wicker touch or two like a plant stand or a wicker tray on the coffee table if you choose to have one there. Thats my vote! You could even have black pots by your kitchen door to pull out the iron color from the tables. Not slick, modern looking black planters, but something with a vibe more like the urns by your front door except NOT urns or as formal as urns and black. Maybe something square but a little narrower at the bottom than the top with a slightly aged finish?
IMO, wicker falls into two camps - either too fussy or too casual.
Option 2 teak bench with cushions and pillows and a small side/coffee table. Colors to match kitchen table and backyard furniture. Perhaps consider running lights along the bannister. Personally I’d like flower boxes or pots anchored to the railing. Maybe bring in the black/iron color with these? Great place to wait for trick or treaters!!
Cade is so precious. No wonder you are so happy all the time. LOL - Back to Patio....I love, love, love option 2!
Cade is such a sweetie. He looks so much like his Daddy! ♥♥
Regarding your patio chairs...I would not go with the wrought iron ones. Aside from the fact that they are not as cozy, you need to consider Cade growing up and starting to run around. Iron is hard and can hurt little heads and fingers and toes. I would go with wicker or the teak for your chair frames. They both have a warmer, cozier look. I also think they would be more comfortable. Option 2 would be my personal choice for you! 😊♥
How many Alexa’s did she set off with this video??🙋🏽♀️🤣
So in love with your candle jars!!!!! I literally want every single one!🤤✨
I love option 2! But whatever you do will turn out beautiful as always!
Mix of Option 1 and 3. All weather wicker lounging chairs with a wrought iron bistro table to the one side to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or oatmeal! Paint your floor the same colour as the grout on your brick floor at the front to tie it in. We often do that when choosing exterior colours for trim.
Still obsessed with this kitchen every time I see it! You did such an amazing job 😍
Option 2 or 3❣️
What a beautiful family and home. And your Kensly looks just like my Stella 😍. I like the idea of the teak furniture like that sofa you showed and maybe rocking chairs? It would match the vibe of your home. Definitely do some sort of climbing plant! It would be gorgeous ❤.
19:13 cade was smiling at his momma 🥺 it was so cute!!!!
Option 2. Works well with the wood table in the kitchen and the wood in the backyard. Plus, it looks cozy.
You are amazing at what you design..I do think option 2 would look lovely x
I'm just in awe of how relaxed and put together and productive you seem in this video. When my baby girl was born almost two year ago I just felt tired, stuck on the couch with baby. I couldn't get around to anything it seemed. Always behind on house work, no energy at all. You seem so energetic and in good shape, I love that so much for you! Keep enjoying the good life with baby Cade as you did in this video. It gives me hope for the newborn stage with baby #2, who I found out is due April 2025 😊❤
Congrats on baby #2! and trust me I totally have those days too!
I can see why everyone loves option two, it is gorgeous but I absolutely love the curvy wicker 'armchairs'. I can imagine a soft throw and pillows and there's something about a curvy armchair style that seems inviting to me. Somewhere that you want to curl up with a good book and a coffee. The wicker table with the iron base looked pretty too. I've no doubt that what ever you choose will look effortlessly gorgeous. Side note, Cade's smile lights up the room! what a happy little soul he is.
Plants on the wall of the house are beautiful - and wonderful places for every kind of insects. Spiders, bees, bugs… And they love crawl into the house. Iron furnitures are heavy and sometimes not very comfortable. I would go with teak. So cosy with pillows, so nice to decorate for the seasons. So natural and warm. Iron is always cold and I feel, not so inviting. A bit stiff.
I have a front porch with a roof and I love to sit and swing a bit in my hanging chair, enjoying a coffee, reading a book (watching the neighborhood 😉)…
I love option 2 and it has such a french "flavor" to it. It is gorgeous.
I’d do a metal iron girly couch/daybed under the window. With big fluffy cushions. Maybe even a glider. And in the corner, I would do some type of planting with multiple pots. Flower boxes on the rails would be pretty too. And a vine over the kitchen window.
loved this video. for the patio option 2 really looks the most cohesive to me with the rest of your house. can’t wait to see what you’ll end up doing!
I love the iron look as a nice compliment to what you already have! but I could see option 2 fitting in nicely with the style you have going on already
Love option 2. I rocked all my babies. I’d for sure want a comfy something to rock or glide. I could just imagine being out there on a slightly cool evening with baby in a warm blanket. He would love it! Love all your videos ♥️
Just love seeing you so happy as a mommy! Really enjoyed watching you and Cade hang out together for the day. 🥹 I actually loovvvee OPTION 2.
Option 2 for sure!👍 It would look really nice with the bar cart that had the wicker top and iron legs🤩🙌🏻♥️
I love option 2 as my favorite. Would tie in with your beautiful decor style throughout the house
I love Option 2 and think it ties in with your house so much better.
I like option 2 and 3! You don't have black iron anywhere else around the house, so I think a sort of bleached teak or wicker would go with the furniture that you already have both inside and outside. Also - try using the word "lounge" to search for patio areas that aren't just dining. ❤
Looove option 2, it looks comfy and in my opinion complements everything else you have going on inside and outside. This was fun!
Option 3 feels cozy and perfect for sitting out there with a cup of coffee ☺️
Option 2 for sure. I love that teak loveseat. It would help carry through the theme from the back.
As for deck color: look at your pool lounge chairs, they're wood and already against the same brick. That's your wood color 👍
I like option 2 for your house. It ties the front to the back and even your natural wood tones inside your home.
Cade and Romeo are twins!! :) so excited to see the patio come together!!
Cade is so stinking cute. Thank you for putting him on and sharing him with us
option 2 or 3 for sure! Those tie in lovey with the inside and back patio
The cane/timber combination furniture would be lovely in the space, MaCenna. Are you planning on adding a pergola to the space? You could have a climbing rose grow onto it.
I clicked so fast as soon as I got the notice! I always love how you set up when you take photos of your candles. Cade is soooo cute!❤
Option 2 ties in with the back and is warm and cozy vibe
I suggest you consider rocker chairs or glider. I have a swing and it's so nice to use for relaxation! Cade would love that! Then add iron or teak accessories!
Cade is so adorable 🥰 I would go with number 2 design.
Ohh Cade is so cute!! So lucky we get little peeks at your little guy x
Option 2. The teak is so pretty, but also with the California heat will last better than the wicker, also gorgeous! 🌸
Option 3! They are all beautiful but wicker is beautiful AND comfortable. Think about curling up to read a book or Kade on your lap while reading. I have had outdoor wicker for twenty years on my deck and it is just now starting to degrade. I will be buying more wicker. I see your front porch space as a more intimate spot that you will use frequently! Have fun with your design process ♥
I believe option 2 would be beautiful and tie in with the beautiful kitchen and backyard
The deck could become an outdoor convenient art studio and play area. Keeping a plan like this in mind then seating could combine storage for toys, table top easel etc. Ps though beautiful, skirted wicker hides spiders. I like the teak set best. For a climbing element, a potted espaliered citrus eg, lime for cockails for the grown ups or mandarins for Cade could be handy by the kitchen making an evergreen palate on a latticed or woven willow support.
I like the picnic bench idea alongside the outdoor furniture have breakfast spot
How about a nice big porch swing? Imaging snuggling Cade while swinging , reading, having your coffee etc
Loving two and three the most ! No matter what you choose I think a loveseat option for seating would be really nice and sweet for sitting with baby and sitting with Romeo. Option two looks great because it matches the rest of your outdoor spaces but it almost would make me want to do option three because it still goes along with the theme of the home as a whole but different 🤷🏼♀️😊
Option Two is EVERYTHING. My second choice is Option Three.
