Things I've learned in my 71 years. Give yourself some grace, enjoy this season of new baby, you will never get this time back and Cade won't wait for you. All of your projects can wait awhile and decorating for seasons is ultimately a waste of time and money, especially in a kitchen! Your home is beautiful and cozy and warm, if you never did another thing it is perfect as it is. Stop, breathe and enjoy!!

I saw you first when you were finishing the cottage. And you are so sweet and funny and down to earth. And very very talented. So I started watching and never left. I enjoyed my baby just like you do. I also used to do reno's. I'm old now. 😂 i had to stop. I use to get up at 3AM do renos for a couple of hours, the get ready for my job.then play with baby and get her ready for Grammy's house. 😢 I used to cry when I left her. Work then go get her, make dinner, then spend time with my baby. We would play and then do our night routine. It was so much fun. So I can relate to your schedule. ❤ good luck in all your future endeavors.❤
For Vlogmas, consider doing a vlog each Sunday during Advent. That’s when the candles on the Advent wreath are lighted, and it would be a nice tradition for your family.

I love that you're able to play it by ear on so many things: decorating for fall, vlogmas, the cottage etc. Yes I love your content but I'd never want it to have a negative impact on your life and your family, I'm glad that you're prioritizing what's most important. That would make it a lot better and just leave the switch itself white because the paint might wear over time but at least it won’t be a big square block

Placemats and coasters for the table. I made placemats for my table that are reversible so I can change the décor in my kitchen based on holiday, season, or mood. I used a cheap clear plastic shower curtain and cut it to add a layer on the inside of the placemats (along with the batting) so that possible spills didn't soak through. There are a lot of DIY placemat patterns on youtube, but adding the extra plastic inside was my idea.
For Halloween you should dress up as the Flintstones characters , Barney, Betty and BamBam.
Great video and content! Wax FYI: You can do a few coats of the wax, to make it that much more durable, with light buffing between the layers.
Life with 2 kids is intimidating at first, but eventually (and early on) they start entertaining EACH OTHER and then it's MUCH easier than one. 🤣 The table turned out beautifully! 😍😍
I bought brass switch/outlet plates throughout our house and then used Rub and Buff (in European Gold) on them to give them a duller finish so they have an old world look. Love the look now!

Best part of my dayyy
Clear polycrylic can be mixed with white paint for first coat to stop it darkening. You have to experiment with percentages, but it works.
I was just going to ask about turning the garage into living space when you said it, lol. I have noticed you go outside to access it. That would work for Romeo's space...be a fun reno series.

I have loved your channel for years. The growth I have seen is fantastic! Case is such a blessing. Thank you for sharing. My only complaint is the suffering that animals have to go thru for fashion saddens me. Uggs is a horrible company! Leather purses,there's no way to justify that. I miss the estate sales and flea market trips you used to do with your mom in Texas, and watching your close mother/daughter bonding time. You barely filmed her when she visited recently. And did I miss whether she completed the other half of your paintings in your family room and what she painted? Or didn’t she want to put Cade down long enough to pick up a paintbrush lol?
MaCenna, you’re burning yourself out! And you might also have mom brain. 😅 Creativity is always the first thing to wear down when your brain is exhausted. It’s ok, we all love your videos no matter what, and I think in your editing skills and video ideas we are seeing the creativity you have. Maybe when it comes to designing decor, there might be less available. That’s ok. There is still lots of fall left and if you still aren’t making it work, that just means you are human. We all go through that sometimes ❤❤❤

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and we're renovating our new (to us) house, including the kitchen, while working full time - I have a new appreciation for how much effort last year's vlogmus would have taken! I'm finding it so frustrating to be unable to nest and prepare for baby while we can't live in the house and may be facing a temporary kitchen situation. So seeing you enjoying your house, kitchen and new baby helps me focus that I WILL get to enjoy these things too! Pregnancy has forced me to slow down so much & listen to my body, which can be frustrating in its own way, but so important. I don't want the joy of pregnancy to be lost in the stress of renovation. I think pregnancy prepares us for baby by teaching us we can't do everything, and we have to prioritise what's actually important (family and health). Keep listening to your body and instinct!
I use to paint or cover my light covers with wall paper.
MaCenna - you'll need to put a couple more coats of wax in the table. Search how to apply a wax finish. Basically you need to rub it down with fine steel wool and reapply. A couple of times. There's a whole method. It's going to look beautifu!

wood is beautiful naturally, in Italy people use oil on it, wax is perfect too. The signs of usage are the best part of having an special peace, don't worry about it... just enjoy it.

That wax gave your table an UPGRADE! Looks so much richer after the wax treatment. I also think that by cutting your hair, you might have less of hair loss because it is less weight and stress on the scalp. Nice vlog :).
