It’s interesting, the really cute Paris Airbnb you stayed in was so amazing because it was well lived in full of things the owner had acquired over time. Books they probably bought to be read, not just for aesthetic. I’m not dissing macenna, but I think this is kind of faux lived in. I would recommend filling your shelves with things that have more importance to you more than just aesthetic appeal. I think your home will feel richer and more “you” filled with things that are personally important to you.
I don’t often comment, but I’ve been watching for a few years. But, one of the things that stands out to me in your videos is how respectful Romeo is of your ideas, your thoughts and your needs. I recognize this is reciprocating- you are his biggest fan! But, I love that he’s so down for anything you want to do, respectful and open to your creativity; it a joy to watch.
So true!! How often MaCenna has said she hated grocery shopping and loved her delivery companies. But 5 months on doing *just* that would change anyone's mind;) I'm sure there will be times in future when ordering in will be a treat, but right now, I totally understand she wants her hubby in the kitchen cooking her delicious meals, and I'm sure Romeo is glad to have his kitchen back!
hahahah ITS SO TRUEEEE i've never been so excited to grocery shop and cook something myself. also i think being a mom is shifting my mindset on cooking hahah
I came straight to the comments to see if anyone else caught that too. I had to rewatch it because I was like “wait, is Kinsley humping the babies pillow!!! 😂😂😂
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but you will need to anchor everything to the wall, like the curio cabinet. Cade will soon be crawling and pulling himself up on everything and it's easier to anchor before you fill. Just a suggestion 💜💙💚💛🧡
Great idea about freezing the books ! I never really thought about that ...you can come back to Texas and visit your family then hire one of your cabinet guys to strip the beams while you are here 😊💞
You never know what you're bringing home with you! Many moons ago, I brought my parents a big, antique wooden box I bought for them as a souvenir while in my honeymoon in the Caribbean. First time she vacuumed a couple of weeks after she set it in place, she noticed some dusty stuff around the box but didn't think much of it and thought it must have just come off when we brought it in. Two weeks later, she vacuumed again (not a high traffic room so not vacuumed as often) and there was quite a lot more of it. She was puzzled, but still didn't pick up on it. The following week she decided she'd check on it and that's when she realized - I'd brought her a box infested with woodworms!! She got rid of it pronto before they started eating her house!
A puck light or somekind of light in bookshelf shining down on the decor and then a small light over your art above it would look lovely It would give it a beautiful Vintage ambient soft yellow glow that will go with the vibe of the cabinet 😊
The curio cabinet came out just perfect! Seems like you are doing very well adjusting to your new life as a Mom. Taking care of yourself and your sweet little family will pay off in many untold ways. I am so impressed with your self awareness and willingness to adapt to maximize peace and serenity. ❤
Cade will love pulling himself up on that cabinet when he's crawling and learning to walk, might be a good idea to secure it to the wall and add a safety latch because he will be dying to get at all the lovely things inside 🥰 The kitchen and house are looking fabulous, so happy for you guys!🎉
@@xomacennavlogsthose floors will be hard on his knees when crawling and learning to walk. I have children & now grandchildren safety first. Love the cottage hope you to back to visit your parents soon. ❤
Yes!!! What about having their families for a Saturday fun pool afternoon, and snacks and drinks. Something easy for you and Romeo. Oh course, it could be too much at this time in your lives, but think of how proud the men would be to show off their work to their families.
You should put a plant with a sort of vine that could hang off the side of the curio cabinet on top of the book, so when you're walking in the kitchen it just give a sense of nature .(And I think it would look gorgeous)
Maybe it will be in another video but I would love to see how you utilized your storage in the kitchen! Just how all the details and special organization elements you added look now being put to use. I feel like you put so much thought into those aspects too I would love to see them in action!
idk what it is about your content, but the joy i feel when you post vs other content i follow (nothing against those creators!) is astronomical. i don’t know if its your aura, interior design style, all i know is i genuinely look forward to each video. the time you put in to do what you do doesn’t go unnoticed, macenna! i support and respect you so much! ☺️🫶🏻
How fun. Can't help but think of just *life* in the kitchen. Projects and conversations. Planning and dreaming. Homework on the kitchen table for Cade. Laughing and tears and...life. ❤
I loved seeing the beautiful, new kitchen from where you were sitting in your living room. You have designed such a gorgeous renovation and the attention to detail shows. The crystal chandelier peaking through the entrance to the kitchen is the icing on the cake. So much sunshine, which makes it such a happy space. I agree with waiting to strip the living room beams with having a baby in the house; however, painting the living room will make your space feel more settled and will help with your creativity.

This video feels so much like your old old ones in your apartment when you decorated your shelves every season.. love the sweet little return to that snapshot in time 💕 So excited to watch you and your family continue to make this house into your home
honestly..., it might be worth it for you to pay someone to strip the beams. It is a lot of work, and while it would save money to do it yourself, it would be quicker paying someone else to do it. Time is money afterall. Love the new kitchen!
Even if you had to wait a little bit longer to do it; It would be worth it not to have that extra stress along with all the other new things in your life. Just think of the time you could spend with baby while the workers were scraping the beams!!
It’s nice to see you accomplishing the home run on these spaces. You’ve been so patient. Just a friendly suggestion, I wonder if you might try moving the diptych paintings much closer together. That big space in between is not exactly how diptychs are intended to present. Maybe try them with no more than a four to five inch gap in between. I feel confident you will be pleased with the result!
Gotta love Kinsly on her back legs standing up trying to see what’s in the cabinet , glad your getting to enjoy all your dreams come true in the kitchen

I really love your kitchen. It's so gorgeous, and the blue is so pretty . When i was a child 50 ish years ago here in the UK my grandmother had what we call here a china cabinet and she kept all her china in it plus other pretty items i use to spend ages looking in it and admiring its treasures
Not sure if anyone else is seeing this but there is some sort of visual glitch on the video from 14:39-14:49 ? The audio plays all the way through but it pauses and gets pixelated when Macenna is talking about the games. Loving the organization so far though!
Wow, this is like home from home. Our kitchen and downstairs bathroom renovation started at the same time as yours but we finished a month earlier and the four months could not have ended a day too soon. I never thought I would dread eating in a restaurant. Our first temporary kitchen was outside in our pump room next to the pool, 4 weeks of hell! No water on our ground floor was the worst thing ever. I had never realised just how many times I rinse things. So, I know exactly what you are feeling right now (with the exception of a new baby - wow!) The dust travels everywhere, its a mammoth task just cleaning everything so that it can be put into the new kitchen. I love mine, it was worth it but I hope not to do it again. It’s wonderful seeing you enjoy everything, all you can do is take it day by day. Don’t forget to have a rest day! 😊
It seems to take forever to pull everything together after a remodel, but once done, what a great feeling! Love your house. Hugs to all including your little furry supervisor.
I am so filled with joy for your family. As I watched you speaking in the kitchen, the chandelier was over your left shoulder, it brings so much beauty and character to your room! I love the curio cabinet where you placed it. Now it has its own moment and is equally beautiful inside and out. It must feel surreal cooking inside your dream!
Love the curio cabinet. I’ve had something like that for years and when my kids were little it stored their toys. Things lived in baskets and board books that they loved. The cabinet lived in our family room and made things easier to grab on the daily. I believe we screwed it into a stud right behind the cabinet itself. It’s styled so lovely now.
So happy for you being able to finally put everything back in place, and being able to spread out to put all of the beautiful pieces that you’ve so specifically hunted for and saved for your dream kitchen. 🙌
The floors in the kitchen are gorgeous now that they cleaned, and sealed them. Wow! So pretty. Loving everything. It’s all coming together. Love the idea of the family room being more warmer on the walls.
Im so hapoy lifes getting back to normal for you guys. I feel like we went on a massive journey with you through the kitchen renovation 😅 its nice to scale back down from that and experience you decorating these micro curated spaces like the curio cabinet and your desk. I think you both have done very well with such a large renovation and having a new baby. Everything is looking beautiful. I hope you will enjoy it for many years to come.

Little safety tip. I'd secure the curio cabinet to the wall before Cade becomes mobile. I had one similar and my kid flipped it over on himself. He was fine because it landed away, but that's not something I ever thought to do before that happened. 💙 I love your videos and style.

This is such a cool transformation! 🏡 Can't wait to see how the new kitchen changes the vibe. Plus, I totally agree that decorating the curio cabinet added a nice touch. That mother’s painting looks stunning! Just imagine the stories that those pieces could tell. 😍✨
Like your Mom's painting but the hydranga painting with the dark background looks sooooooo much better. Especially with that cream color frame is just perfect for cordinating your style from kitchen into living room perfectly. Go get a new cream frame to fit that French hydrangea painting. It is PERCECT!

This is such a cool transformation! 🏡 Can't wait to see how the new kitchen changes the vibe. Plus, I totally agree that decorating the curio cabinet added a nice touch. That mother’s painting looks stunning! Just imagine the stories that those pieces could tell. 😍✨
Beautiful kitchen & love the curio repurpose! Loving your CA home almost as much as your Texas cottage ❤❤❤
Everything looks amazing. I believe the flowers in your beautiful painting are carnations. Love watching the progress on your lovely home.
Like your Mom's painting but the hydranga painting with the dark background looks sooooooo much better. Especially with that cream color frame is just perfect for cordinating your style from kitchen into living room perfectly. Go get a new cream frame to fit that French hydrangea painting. It is PERCECT!
Everything looks so pretty. Your curio looks perfect in its new spot with your mom’s art above ☺️💕
So excited for you! Your kitchen is so beautiful! Congratulations!
I can’t wait for the livingroom makeover. I’m sure it’s gonna be so good
Beautiful and cozy.I love this video! The three of you (Kinsley included) are adjusting very well to Cade.
I always enjoy your vlogs!!! After a 12 hour working day this is just what I needed. Love that curio cabinet and the way you styled it ❤
I am obsessed with that light fixture!
You could take the frame to a framer and have a piece of trim made to add to the inside of the opening to make it fit your picture.
I think the salt ‘cellar’ is most practical by the cooktop - if you decide to keep it in the kitchen.
This was so satisfying to watch! The curio looks so good in its new spot
MaCenna, you are a joy! Thank you for another absolutely delightful video! ~Curio cabinet came together so beautifully! ~Appreciate how you explain (teach) as you go! It’s a privilege to learn from you! You, Romeo, Cade, & Kinsley…. you all look like you are settling in so well & enjoying the season! ~Grateful for this video! It made my day!
Loving to see the progress and the styling. My favorite thing to do and getting inspiration.
I love your home, and I love all your transformations.🥰 You are a beautiful family, may God always protect you❤️
Kinsley on tippy toes trying to look in the kitchen cabinet is sooo adorable!
