But Its totally possible, and after 3 years of pain, Im starting a diet for 6 weeks with my doctor to help me understand which food are triggers. Oh, and drink lots of ginger tea, it really helps! 💚 Hope u feel better by now.

      @@RainbowPlantLife i suggest you to ask your parents how you reacted to certain foods as a toddler or a child
      I noticed IBS symptoms when I was in grade 5
      But I wasn't comfortable eating foods as a child how normal children were used to
      I used to puke a lot after eating normal food as a child
      But as a child i really liked eating veggies unlike Normal kids
      I never or hardly eat outside or junk food
      You're really lucky that you developed these symptoms in your university
      I had to struggle a lot in highschool
      Because of IBS so my poor academics 😔 i just can't concentrate

    Thx so much for this video! I am currently on low fodmap diet and highly recommend doing it with the guidance of a dietitian- the restrictive diet is not meant to be followed long term. One can have trouble digesting certain fodmap categories while they notice through the reintroduction phase discover they can tolerate others. I wish i had known about this diet 20 yrs ago when i became vegetarian- eating pulses and legumes were really exacerbating the symptoms i already has as a omnivore… not eating any onions and garlic for example has been tough but i think my symptoms have improved… no cherries and pears also helps…

    Excellent content and thanks for sharing openly, I have subscribed even though I really do like meat but some of your alternative food ideas may help with my IBS - I am interested in probiotics but I am also concerned with the use of FOS or prebiotics when it comes to IBS - I will check out the brand you have linked! Thanks for the inspiration!

I don't know if thats an issue for me because I'm bloated after every meal...so need to try the elimination diet. So good to hear I can slowly incorporate and test foods. I love food too much!

    I'm happy that I 've just found your videos:) I have some questions. Are all the kind of tofu low fodmap ? Can bigger volume portions like meals with sauce/ zucchini trigger my ibs? Which protein ppowder do you recommend for ibs? Plant based protein powder will be okay? tempeh looks so tasty but I think I can't eat it. I have a mold allergy(mold on the wall, blue cheese, rotten leaves after a rain). Is it the same kind of mold in a tempeh? Greetings

    • @sharonelia9260
      @sharonelia9260 Год назад

      1) she said firmer tofu varieties are suitable
      2) yes, because some ingredients can become high fodmap over a certain quantity, also you should be careful in not stacking in one meal
      3) Rice protein powder
      4) I can't help you, I know nothing about mold unfortunately :(
      Hope it helps =)

    Great video and very informative. I've noticed that I can't really handle raw veggies, do you know if there would be a reason for that?

    • @RainbowPlantLife
      @RainbowPlantLife  5 лет назад +1

      I’m glad it was informative for you! Everyone’s digestive system is different, but raw veggies have a high percentage of insoluble fiber which can be a bit hard on digestion for some people. this type of fiber slows down the rate at which the vegetables move through your system which can cause gas or bloating or other kinds of symptoms.

    I found your channel and have been watching your videos to get some food ideas. I have had IBS D for years and as I get older it is gotten worse. I struggle with a lot of foods. Watching your videos after this one some of your recipes include onion powder, garlic powder and mangos. I thought those were not good for the low FODMAP diet? I really need to heal my gut but have no idea how to.
