      It is probably because you started eating eating a lot of fibre suddenly. Increase the fibre intake slowly and gradually.

      Just like me!! It was because I started to eat waaay more grains, legumes and vegetables that were high fodmap 🤡. But Its totally possible, and after 3 years of pain, Im starting a diet for 6 weeks with my doctor to help me understand which food are triggers. Oh, and drink lots of ginger tea, it really helps! 💚 Hope u feel better by now.

      @@RainbowPlantLife i suggest you to ask your parents how you reacted to certain foods as a toddler or a child
      I noticed IBS symptoms when I was in grade 5
      But I wasn't comfortable eating foods as a child how normal children were used to
      I used to puke a lot after eating normal food as a child
      But as a child i really liked eating veggies unlike Normal kids
      I never or hardly eat outside or junk food
      You're really lucky that you developed these symptoms in your university
      I had to struggle a lot in highschool
      Because of IBS so my poor academics 😔 i just can't concentrate
      But i feel ibs has gotta do more with the mental health than foods
      We target foods because of obvious symptoms but meditation is important as well ❤💕💕👍🏻

      Do meditation (a variety of em) and yoga.. practice mindfulness. Try doin. Gardening or pottery or painting (eco-friendly painting.. cuz if it doesn't hurt the environment,it won't hurt you either..) , maintain a distance from this materialistic world where material and money is valued more than a person's/an animals life.. watch pick up limes .. she's so calming with a very therapeutic voice , have a routine, spread kidnness and awareness through social media.. try to connect with nature through plants and occassional breaks.. wear simple yet colourful clothes..

    Thx so much for this video! I am currently on low fodmap diet and highly recommend doing it with the guidance of a dietitian- the restrictive diet is not meant to be followed long term. One can have trouble digesting certain fodmap categories while they notice through the reintroduction phase discover they can tolerate others. I wish i had known about this diet 20 yrs ago when i became vegetarian- eating pulses and legumes were really exacerbating the symptoms i already has as a omnivore… not eating any onions and garlic for example has been tough but i think my symptoms have improved… no cherries and pears also helps…

Thank you again for your video as I am doing a vegan diet and still learning on that as well, it's all a learning and accepting process. How do you know what to look for in a probiotic that's good and helpful? And I don't use tempeh I've tried it but learned it's injected with something and the mold thing makes me nervous so I don't use it, you said firm tofu is good? I don't like kombucha either, I don't like Kimchi, I do like sauerkraut , vegan yogurt and olives, how many of these foods do I need a day to make a difference and how can I have a balanced vegan diet? Any info is appreciated thank you again so much really enjoying your videos😊❤

    Careful with blueberries btw, it quickly becomes a high fodmap, because of the high levels of fructan. A maximum of 40 gram is tolerable in the elimination phase, but be careful. For anyone even attempting the low FODMAP lifestyle, get the Monash app, it is an absolutely lifesaver and more so a time saver.

    So happy I just discovered your channel - which deserves a lot more views! My doctor just recommend me to do this diet so fingers crossed :) Are all your recipes FODMAP friendly?
    PS. I hope you collab with pick up limes, as you're both vegans and have same aesthetics

    Hi, I bought your book on vegan recipes and I am enjoying making them . However I have to occasionally modify them to remove high fodmap ingredients from them for example onions , cashew nuts , garlic etc. I wanted to ask since you have had IBS , do you still have to avoid high fodmap food or was this treated for you. I was diagnosed with IBS about 4 months ago and since then I have followed the fodmap diet. Every time I have tried reintroduction of anything high fodmap , I have had gut troubles. Not sure when will I be able to eat normally again 😔

    I found your channel and have been watching your videos to get some food ideas. I have had IBS D for years and as I get older it is gotten worse. I struggle with a lot of foods. Watching your videos after this one some of your recipes include onion powder, garlic powder and mangos. I thought those were not good for the low FODMAP diet? I really need to heal my gut but have no idea how to.

    Seemingly out of nowhere, the only things I have been able to eat now are eggs and meat or I get very bad migraines and constipation. Not interested in being vegan but I am here to try to expand my diet because although I feel great and am symptomless on just meat and eggs it gets dull only eating those two things. I want to find vegetables that won’t make me sick.

    Some nice ideas in this video, I have little red lentils which are low fodmap, other lentils will give you problems. Any type onion is high in fodmaps too.
    You've gotta know that IBS is about sensitivity. You've gotta Keep your stress levels in check.
    A key thing is to drink at least 2-3 litres of water every day. Something that most of us don't do. Eat as close to nature as possible. Go as gluten free as possible. And control spices used, especially chilli and smoked paprika.

    SO I just figured out the Calories for their Acorn meal. It says roughly 800 for one serving. This seems high to me, is this true? I’m having stomach issues even more now that I’m vegan(1 year)with out a gallbladder(1.5 years).

    Great video and very informative. I've noticed that I can't really handle raw veggies, do you know if there would be a reason for that?

    • @RainbowPlantLife
      @RainbowPlantLife  4 года назад +1

      I’m glad it was informative for you! Everyone’s digestive system is different, but raw veggies have a high percentage of insoluble fiber which can be a bit hard on digestion for some people. this type of fiber slows down the rate at which the vegetables move through your system which can cause gas or bloating or other kinds of symptoms.

    I'm happy that I 've just found your videos:) I have some questions. Are all the kind of tofu low fodmap ? Can bigger volume portions like meals with sauce/ zucchini trigger my ibs? Which protein ppowder do you recommend for ibs? Plant based protein powder will be okay? tempeh looks so tasty but I think I can't eat it. I have a mold allergy(mold on the wall, blue cheese, rotten leaves after a rain). Is it the same kind of mold in a tempeh? Greetings

    • @sharonelia9260
      @sharonelia9260 Год назад

      1) she said firmer tofu varieties are suitable
      2) yes, because some ingredients can become high fodmap over a certain quantity, also you should be careful in not stacking in one meal
      3) Rice protein powder
      4) I can't help you, I know nothing about mold unfortunately :(
      Hope it helps =)
