Would love to see a series on trailer offerings as related to specific size vehicles. E.g options for a 2500 or 3500 size truck for different goosenecks/dump trailers detailing dry weight, useful load capacity etc
One more great video thanks for taking the time to explain the details of your products most interest series 👍 As always God bless you and stay safe out there 🙋♂️ 🇬🇧
Do they make a cordless controller to operate the dovetail and jacks with out having to manually switch the valve ? If not are there any other options to do this from the cab ?
Can you add the hydraulic box to the neck? It would keep the system out of the salt slop and prevent damage from debris/tire blowout. It would be easy to add a solar panel to the top of box, ability to add winch to the same battery with minimal heavy gauge wiring, less wiring to charge the battery from vehicle. Short hoses for the Hyd jacks, only drawback is longer hoses to ramp.
I would like to see how the pump/dovetail latching mechanism works; it would be nice. What happens past level within the mechanism that the slide lock engages or disengages? The pump seems to be flowing one way the whole time, would it not extend the cylinder to the stop/lockout position?
So why are they hydraulic dove tails so popular over the hydrualic tilt? Seems the tilt would be stronger/easier to clean, more versatile for loading containers/pipe and easier offloading. What are the pros/cons of each?
Great question Lloyd! If your CHT has a hydraulic power unit that controls the bed you can definitely add a wireless kit. The wireless kit is plug and play on the KTI power units. 👍
@Diamond C Trailers great video as always Jacob. I own a trailer repair shop in California and I’m a big fan of Diamond C trailers just in general. We sure do test the brakes on every trailer. 👍 However all drum brakes need to be burnished in which also auto adjust at the same time. Here is a quick Lippert video that talks about the burnish process. ruclips.net/video/d9HDloz9fq8/видео.html

@@diamondctrailers I'm only asking cuz i plan to pull a small 6x12 bumper pull for bags and airsoft storage while the gooseneck would haul the atv, hmmwv, etc.
Older video so hopefully you see this. How about showing an older trailer or competing companies trailer side by side deck slope difference so we can actually see the difference? Also let’s see you load a double drum roller say 48inch? I’m not at all sarcastic, I just need to be able to load one. Thank you for all your videos it’s very much appreciated.
I’m not familiar with that roller you mentioned, but… Assuming it has smooth steel drums, I expect the best bet for you would be the rubberized version. Even with the cleats, steel on steel sounds like a losing proposition in the traction department to me.
If I was looking for a gooseneck trailer that Diamond makes to put my 13,000lb mini excavator on it with the lowest ramp angle, which trailer would you recommend?
@@diamondctrailers Wow that is impressive, I am a trailer dealer back in the 80s it was like 500 or 600 for something clumsy you were afraid to load on. I used to tell customers I wouldn't give up the GVWs unless the trailer was for a designated machine. The came lock lift system is just brilliant.
If you have a piece of equipment on the dove tail and need to raise it a bit for clearance does the pump have the power, or are you able to raise the dove tail with a certain amount of weight on it?
people are going stop buying 40 foot hotshot trailers unless the price of diesel fuel drops to a point where an owner\operator can make a living and still pay for their equipment !
Hi Luis! Pricing varies by location and dealer. If you get on our website you can build a trailer out to the specs you would like and see MSRP or window sticker there. Then you can submit to up to 3 dealers for actual selling price quote. Hope this helps! 😁 www.diamondc.com/trailers/gooseneck/
I've been watching your trailers for some time now and I have a couple of questions. Regarding your flatbed with the square above the gooseneck and your 12 ft hydraulics tilt. How much weight will your hydraulic dovetail hold? The reason I'm asking I plan on putting a 27 ft fifth wheel on top of the trailer axles removed and then behind that on the dovetail putting my Jeep Wrangler TJ which weighs about 4,500 lb. I plan on doing cross-country traveling Towing the setup with my F350. Once I reach my destination wherever I choose to buy property I will remove the trailer and use it for business.
How about this one… How much weight does the hydraulic dovetail add to the trailer’s tare weight, vs the option of (I believe you call it “straight back”) no beaver tail, etc??
