Thanks for this detailed video ChassisBlack73. That is about the nicest and well equipped hot shot trailer I've seen, you really added some critically important options to hot shot effectively. There's a lot of crap out there and this very well-done video exemplifies just how high-quality Iron Bull (norstar) is. They should give you a commission CB73! Good choice on adding the Gen-Y coupler too, easier on you and the truck. Keep the good material coming ChassisBlack, much appreciated!
Sweet looking trailer...nice that it has air assist axles & ramp, compressor and wench. Yes, I would like to see the wiring on it. Those are some heavy tandems. Thanks!🤩
Nice trailer. I have a LoadTrail 40 ft. I have had a lot of trouble with the condensation freezing up north. I got a air dryer filter from tractor supply and place it right in front of the compressor in the air line before it exits the toolbox and I have no problems going-0 degree weather. Also my hydraulic dove tail I have to push a leaver to make it unlock to go down. Thanks I like it.
Very fancy trailer you got there! I want to build a flatbed from scratch, I now have some idea's of what I want to do. Nothing too fancy it's a stripped down camper frame right now. The axles aren't much but the frame itself is made of massive I-beams which should hold a lot of weight.
@@THUNDERstroke73 if u dont mind me asking how u get passed dot inspection with your front side windowd tinted like that? I want mine tinted like that... can u share some insight on that?
Can you please show where solar panels are for charging, will batteries also charge while in transit off of truck? Also can you please tell us about the air compressor and storage tank for air ride? Also, let's say that you are are going to load a car....you get front wheels on the main deck, can you lift rest of car with the hydraulic dove tail? How much weight can you put on the dove tail when it is up in lock position? Nice truck and trailer. Thanks for the video, keep the videos coming. God Bless you and your family
Nice trailer bro. The only thing I would change is only having the rubber floor in the middle of the deck only to allow pallets to slide when loading but still have the resistance to secure it from sliding in transit. This trailer looks like you’ll get plenty of work out of it💯
Ok in SC what brand trailer, what type Teailer? What length trailer? What options, opinions & tips would you recommend ? I have CDL :) 58 years Young, Every weekend home 🏠 Or every other day that Will be helpful what’s your experience :) thanks 🙏
I am not. I'll tell you Ironbull is good but don't get air ride. Get torsion suspension instead. And don't waste time with a hydraulic tail. For the truck I highly recommend the Ford 6.7. But don't get anything more then an XLT. Save the money. That's my best advice for ya.
I think the RAM 3500 has proven to be the best choice for towing. I like the max tow variant in a bighorn or better. The exhaust brake is lightyears ahead of them all. As for trailers I would recommend a PJ or Diamond C over the iron bull. Until you use all 3 its tough to SEE the differences.
Does it have electric over hydraulic brakes? If so, I think they must be drum rather than disk. I think 12000 lb. is as large as you can go with disk. Thanks. Nice trailer!
Great piece of equipment. That dovetail; never seen one however it gives you an advantage to load different items and also was thinking the same thing in regards to load angle- adding some additional ramps to compensate for the pitch angle would be nice if they were able to lock into that ramp via some locking pins to prevent them from dancing when loading and unloading with just one person.
Also check ur anchor screws for the hardware in the toolbox they will rattle loose and tear up some stuff. After 1.5 years if u run in the salt u need to change the caliper orings and anti rattle springs if u don’t they will just loose and fall on ur rotor if u have disc brakes. If not ur good. Thanks again
I made a previous comment, but you mentioned the lift axle, and kind of what I was wondering, why don't they let you choose front or rear lift axle. Tight driveways and turnarounds would be easier if the rear axle was lifted, shorter wheelbase, just watch for tail swing. The other thing I was wondering , does the Gen Y hitch fight with the air ride trailer, or counteract?
I can't believe how many people "watched" the video then wrote a bunch of dumb questions that "if" they had seen the video they would know the answers to them, either that or people are just clueless and have no idea what they just saw.
Two questions, (thanks in advance for your reply) 1, What does your trailer weigh with required equipment (chains etc.) 2, How frequently do you have to pass on a load due to it being too heavy ?
Really nice trailer.. I'd like to see how the air bag system works. I figure the aft axle has 2 bags, but the forward axle must have 4. 2 for ride and two for lift, right???
I bought a 32 Feet trailer like you a PJ and was was taking to the thumb area of Michigan and was pulled over and given a Ticket for not having the correct CDL license rating. I have a regular Chauffeurs license but apparently i have to have CDL-A license a Misdemeanor ticket, one time with nothing on it because the GVRW is 25000 lbs. so i am trading it off for a tag trailer so the dump trucks can haul the small equipment, its sad when they give a ticket for weight thats not on there but might be on there so to that they can shove it all they did was cost michigan money in tax revenues because we are done with it.
Didn't notice a suspension dump valve. You always want to dump the bags before unloading. It will prolong the life of your bags. You don't want them fully extending everytime you unload. Also take that jack out of the box or secure it. Wouldnt want it sliding into your valves or compressor.
Does Iron Bull have a website where you can check out all their options or is this something you have to do at a dealership? I didn’t see a website, apologize if I just missed it.

How long is the bed and dovetail itself? Assume 40' length includes the gooseneck? Thx
Deck total is 40 feet over all. Dove is 9
Nice!! Hopefully I can afford one!
You said that you wouldn’t have air ride again. Is there any certain reason why?
Thanks.
Extra cost mostly. If your compressor fails or a bag fails, you're dead in the water. Hutch suspension is what I would recommend
Is that outside tire flat
Wondering the same...but the rear axle looks the same. I wonder if it’s an odd combination of the rim and tire that makes the rib edge stick out
pretty nice rig
One question if you don't mind
Which kind of brakes do you have on your axles?
Electric drums
Electric Over Hydraulic Disc would be the best way to go. Lighter Weight and less breakdowns
Figured with that size trailer you'd be using an F450? Great looking setup.
Numbers wise a man is crazy to buy a 450.. both trucks have the same gvwr and similar gcwr and the insurance and tag fees are much higher on a 450
Except you get way better brakes with the 450
Does air compressor have outlet for air hose hookup for air ratchet and air jack.
Good question
