      I priced their LPD dump trailer in comparison to Moritz. $16k for Diamond C when I paid $10k for mine. Maybe we can do a side by side so we can see why it’s more, but $6k is a lot. Then you look at these trailers and your jaw just drops

    I descided on a 212 fmax pacesetter loaded hydrolic dovetail. Upgrade tires upgraded to 17” tires used in 216. Then Trailer can be upgraded to 30,000 gvw no extra charge . Yes I will pay fet tax but I will be legal for 21 , 22,000 payload. Trailer is still about 10 k cheaper than 216. Under $ 35,000 loaded. I think that kinda max out my 2024 limited longhorn dodge 3500. I didn’t upgrade to oak deck because cost doesn’t make sense on credit of pine. Can do oak yourself later way cheaper at-least in north east. Went with 32 footer for better balance when hauling empty with alittle more size for two smaller 10 k machines, and room spare for a bucket or something. If hauling my bigger d5 long 20,000 machine long track alone on the back keep over axles keep tung weight light and legal. That was my thinking. Give Raven a call at Lances trailer in Ohio. She was great no haggle best price ! Good luck with your choices.

    Amazing walk around between the two trailers. What’s your thoughts on placing a deck on the goose neck welded or bolt on? Seems a deck on the goose neck would help with the tongue weight not to mention the extra square feet of carrying capacity.

    I just don’t understand why they can’t install the red/white reflector tape correctly. By law the red is supposed to point to the rear.

    When he talks about the pin weight being kind of light when empty on the 216 pretty much because the axles are further to the front. I’m guess because the hydro dove. If someone where to order a 30ft like his but with monster ramps or or straight deck, would the axles be further back? Helping with more pin weight when empty?

    Breaks and bearings are not the same . My Fmax 216 Berings went out and the 212 breaks and bearings would not fit. Just to let you know

    Is the Deck Height the same 216 vs 212? Or does axles change that a little bit?

    In California any trailer over 20 foot or 10000 lbs you fall under a cold license.

    You can get a derated fmax 212 that can haul 30,000. But my question is if the axles are 12,000lb. and the GVW IS 30,000

    • @jone2408
      @jone2408 2 года назад

      I screwed that up....if axles are 12,000 and GVW is 30,000....can you get into trouble because youre hauling more weight than what the axles are rated for?

    • @diamondctrailers
      @diamondctrailers  2 года назад

      @@jone2408 Great question! You shouldn’t get into trouble. The GVWR is prorated with transfer weight over into the truck is how we effectively raise the rating of the trailer. 👍

      @UnProj 2 года назад +1

      @@diamondctrailers as far as I understand the only gvwr rating I see for the 212 is 25,900.
      With 25% rated load on the tow vehicle and maxing the 24k rating for the axles, you COULD rate the trailer for 30k, but if the sticker says 25,900 (the only option I see on the website) you're asking for a ticket at 26k+
      The 216 options are 30k and 40k
      I assume the 30k is limited by the coupler and 40k is 32k axle weight + 25% pin weight utilizing the 40k coupler
