Can you finish part two and show how you finished the inner and outer and idler relocating the idler arm and center link and what year you’re using Thank you.
@@ValiantKustoms you will enjoy the ride alot better and braking I also had a 64 valiant back in the late 70s ,4 speed factory with slant 6, change it out for a built 340 ,wish I had thought straight axle ,had problem keeping frt end in it .
I just don't see why. I got new ball joints.2 inch Drop spindles disk brakes. Tie rods. The torsion bars suspension is awesome. 1960 to 1962 was a great suspension. It was just that some one else owned the patent. That's why 1963 they did the springs in the front. Hydraulic clutch is awesome also. Not sure why they went manually in 1963.🤷 And power steering. Fits awesome with mid 1980 Jeep u bolt collapse steering rod.👍
I wanted air ride and torsion wouldnt work for my airbags. I was first going to do the same drop you did but just wasnt going to be enough for me. thanks for your comment, Its very appreciated.
I’m getting ready to do this same thing on my 62. You lost sound towards the later part and it hard to hear what your saying. A you do a walk around video explaining what you did?
@@paulgarza9188 I think 60-62 frames have wider frame rails. same outside width but narrower inside width. 68 crossmember bolts right up on outside of frame. Ibought some frame motor mounts for a 63 thinking they would work, nope. I had to cut a little bit out of frame.
Thanks for bringing us along for the lesson. I too have a 62c10 and a 61 Apache im wanting to modernize. Thanks for sharing. Truck Driver Ray ✝️
thank you for the comment and subscription. i need to get back on that truck, hopefully in the next couple videos

@@Ray-l2l8m the cross member is out of a 68 Chevy. Hope to get back on this in the fall
I did the same thing to a 1960 in 1991 made such a big difference to the truck I used a 1978 frt clip on mine
i never did really care for the torsion bars. just made it so hard to lower or do anything with it. thanks for the comment

What motor mounts did you happen to use?
I used the stock 78 truck stands and Chevy pickup mounts located the stands where I needed them
i used some aftermarket ones for a 63. they still need a little more tweaking, thank you for subscribing@@tannerjones3807

@@funkinu2236 thanks, I’ll get back to working on the old girl this fall or maybe winter. Thanks for subscribing

For the 62, did you move the fuel tank from inside the cab? If so what tank did you put in. I'm having a difficult time finding a fuel tank for mine.
@@adriandallen I did remove it. I haven’t replaced yet but planning on getting a 60’s mustang tank for under bed.

its really pretty easy to do. good luck. thanks for the comment
Would a 72 front clip work as well? Good video
@@paulgarza9188 it should work. I think you can use up to 86 or 87.
@ValiantKustoms yes I had seen on other videos. But they were not on the 60 to 62, not sure if the 60-62 frames were similar to the 63 & up.

60-62 sucks to get parts especially aftermarket parts
i agree. i used 63 aftermarket motor mounts and doesnt fit right. same with trans crossmember. just had to make fit.
